I was waiting for the first car as soon as I open the car, the smell was horrible. Looks like somebody was smoking… and then spray windex in the car. I refused for the second car and second one was dirty without mat driver and they said that’s it we don’t have anymore car. Wasting my time and money .

I was initially given a vehicle that was more than what my insurance would cover. Upon being notified within the first hour of the initial rental about this, my car insurance company arranged for me to swap out the car for one that fit within the correct budget. After Hertz picked up the car from my body shop, they charged me for the SUV instead of the compact vehicle that I swapped out for. This has resulted in an almost $600 charge to my card on file! I contacted billing and also walked into the office they said they submitted a claim on my behalf but won't provide any details of anything actually taking place via email and said it will take up to 21 days to resolve! I WILL NEVER RENT FROM HERTZ AGAIN! Customer service is horrible and the manager acted like she could care less about my issues. She would not even offer an apology! I understand mistakes happen, but why can I not get an email letting me know what you are working on this issue? There is no paper trail or accountability. NEVER AGAIN! I wish I could give them zero stars!!!

Don't bother.It took me a while to leave a review because I wanted to give hertz corporate a chance to make good on the issue and they did not.I PREPAID for a car for a spring break road trip with my CHILDREN. 4/4-4/7. The Alpharetta Marriott hertz did not have my vehicle. I thought no worries, they can see if another hertz has one... WRONG. the hertz rep said the two nearby locations didn't have them. My next question, "are there any available at the airport location? " her answer, "I dunno, you can call and see. It's hard to get through though. " I was disappointed but just hung up. You work for hertz why not call? Mind you all of this is happening while I'm dealing with crying kids because we are supposed to be on the road. So... I drove my car all the way to the airport for them to have none available. (I drove because I knew I wouldn't be able to get anyone on the phone.) Do you think they called around to see of there were vehicles available? Nope. They gave me the number to the "corporate office" which happened to be the reservations department.I called the reservations department 4x being promised a call back from a supervisor which I never got. It was not until I told them they were in breach of their prepaid rental agreement that someone decided to find me a Location with available rentals... Only they were now closed.At this point my road trip isn't happening on 4/7 as planned and I'm out over $700 for my Airbnb.The NEXT morning I call Alpharetta hertz back to face rudeness after I questioned why they didn't call other locations in their service area the day before because there was indeed a car available. AFTER much push back they finally told me they would call me back and call another location (Lawrenceville). 5 mins later they call me back and tell me that location has no vehicles and they have to call them back at noon to check. I hang up and call that same location and what do I get? A CAR. They had a car to rent me despite the Alpharetta Marriott location lying and saying they didn't. I picked up my car and got on road a day late after wasting time and losing money due to the negligence of Hertz.I contacted the corporate office who did no research on the matter and did not remedy the issue outside of 2000 credits on my hertz account.

I went there to pick up the van which I reserved. They said we don't have it, and we couldn't find another van in Atlanta. We had an organization for 12 people and we had to cancel it because of this mess. Don't use Hertz! Be Careful!

Candyce Lee thank you for the amazing customer service experience and getting me in a vehicle after switching my reservation to your location because I sat at the Hertz in Roswell Ga for 3 hours waiting for a vehicle and being disrespected. 4 stars because the vehicle wasn't clean, but I do know you got me in a vehicle after waiting a little over a hour. Again, Thank you for your help Candyce. I don't know the lady name that help me return the vehicle but thank you

I don’t understand whats with the negative reviews but I had a good experience. The place is small which is understandable for a satellite but Candice was very kind, courteous and respectful. I got the car as well based on my reservation. It would be best to use the Hertz app and reserve in advanced. If you need a car within the day, call them first.Hertz, Candice deserves a raise for she is professional ??

One star is too generous. My experience today was horrible at this location. Very cold and unfriendly. The rep Cynthia F. made it seem like it was my fault that the vehicle that I rented was not available. Even went on to state that people book the cheaper vehicle to manipulate the system to get a free upgrade inferring that I was doing such. If anyone was being manipulated, it was me, I rented a vehicle that was not available---makes me think that this happens routinely to get customers to pay upcharges---bait and switch. I reminded Cynthia F. that I rented the same vehicle two weeks ago and she assisted me. I wrote Hertz corporate about this employee in hopes that she is at least reprimanded if not fired for such accusatory and unprofessional behavior.

Honestly, this is the worst car rental service I have ever had.Waited in the line for 40 minutes, all customers complaining about the waiting time and on top of that, some of them complaining about the car was not ready and was not clean.When was my turn they guy said we don't have your car available. Ridiculous. They should be proactive and call customers if the car is not available.I spent 40 USD going there. And there were 2 going from here to there. Doing absolutely nothing for the customers.You should hire people that is minimal trained. It can not be that you have 5 customers inside and ALL OF THEM are complaining.

Changing my review. Phone experience was not very good. However, when I visited the location in person, Candace and Nick were both super helpful and I had a good experience both during rental pickup and return.

1. I booked and paid on line, so I assumed that I was just getting keys and signing paperwork.. no... Imagine my surprise when I am told I not only owe $209 more but there is also a $200 hold on my credit card. I would advise disclosure because at no point when I booked and paid did it say anything about extra costs or a hold. I was then told the 209$ was because of the pick up location I picked an there was a concierge fee. Well no thank you! I am a long term customer but this is not acceptable. What if I had booked car for an employee or customer. I need a more reliable and upfront company. I would rather pay more & have full rate disclosure. I cold see if it was 10$ but we are talking hundreds of $ after I had paid 100$. Hyre car is great for work ride share.

PLEASE! Read the reviews and know that the negative reviews are true and accurate. Please save your time and money and do NOT do business with this incompitent organization. I properly rented my vehicle several days before. I downloaded the Hertz app that they constantly reminded me to download as it will "make your check in process seamless and convenient". RIGHT! NOT! Upon arrival small line of people. The ONE employee "helping" was doing like 4 things at once and on her cell phone the whole time. Other employees walking around looking at the customers, not helping. After a 35 minute wait in the line (two people in front of me, TWO!) With my pre paid reservation I was told "there are NO cars available". Not a "sorry" not a care in the world. Hertz customer service agents are obviously underpaid and very much under trained any type of customer care. When asked how can I make a paid reservation and arrive with no cars available, I am simply told "we are overbooked". What kind of business is this. This Alpharetta Hertz location and more than likely all Hertz should be ashamed and close their doors as a business entity. I could go on about the truth in the negative comments here and the lack of customer service/care. I never like making a negative review BUT I am hoping someone reads this and AVOIDS AT ALL COSTS doing business with HERTZ.

Called in today for info concerning a rental car. Young lady that answered the phone was HORRIBLE and not helpful at all. They need to hire people who enjoy their jobs.
