Purchased a truck from Ryder Alpharetta, GA. Truck was in Pomona, CA. Thought I was dealing with a salesperson from Florida. Florida had unreasonable requirements to pay for the taxes. I can’t still pay the taxes. Neither the Pomona, nor the Georgia location could help. Zero service. I bought a warranty from them and I am not sure it was a good idea. You think after spending $86,000 at a dealership, you could get some cooperation. No service. I am left to fend for myself. Pomona can’t help because they did not make the sale. Georgia is just non existant after the truck is paid for by my bank. I have zero support to finalize the paperwork. Be careful when buying a truck from a different state.

DISAPPOINTED!This is the single word I can use to describe your Fulton Industrial Location in Atlanta, GA. My non-profit rents from Ryder two trucks at least two times a month for food distribution to low-income families in Metro-Atlanta. Your Fulton Industrial location is below satisfactory regarding customer service, customer relations, and speed of service. Since I have been renting these trucks, I have not received a customer satisfaction survey to give a negative review on that location. For each occurrence, we rent a 26-foot truck. We have customer services with this location EVER SINGLE MONTH! We had a reservation for today that was created back on August 4, 2022. The employees I have been working with are Malyk, Chris, John and that have been less than helpful.Example Today...Called at 10:14 am -Calling to confirm the pick-up time. We have a Fridge Unit.12:15 pm - Units aren't available until Friday. Let me see if we can get another unit. My pick-up day is Today; I remind them.I called at 4:13 pm -No Units were Available, only a 16ft at Forest Park, which is 30 miles from my office.Lastly, I have a huge event on November 19th, and we reserved 3 trucks for that event; we will be serving 2,000 families, and I cannot afford to let Ryder mess this up for my organization and the families we will be serving on that day.We are NEVER treated fairly or professionally! I need a personal call from the Area/Regional office to get this matter resolved, not only for me but for anyone else who might be having this issue with this location.Thank you

BEWARE, I bought a 2017 freightliner in April, it went down in May, because I didn't take the warranty (the sales person stated repeatedly he could not foresee me having any issues with their certified verified trucks), as of today $6600 in truck repairs and my truck is still down. Ryder will not assist me AT ALL, OH and they are always on "vacation" once you have purchased your vehicle and need assistance, so don't think you're going to be able to reach your sales person. Would give zero stars if I could.

I give them no stars bought a truck dec 15 told me I had to put a 500 deposit on truck so it wouldn't be sold before finance company presented them with the funds . Was told deposit would be refunded within 7-14 business days it has been over a month since they were funded. No answer when called and I've left voicemail and emails and faxes asking about my money. Bad business practices

My company bought a top tier Semi Truck from Ryder with a 10k down payment on May 29, we went to pick the truck up out of Wayland Mi,on June 5 and it would not start when we initially picked it up, had to wait 5 hours just for them to start a truck that was paid for a week prior, but they advertise your vehicle as top tier ready to ride, inspected dot certified. On the maiden voyage the ac didn’t work and the truck started throwing codes and force stopping, we took it to the shop as soon as we got to Pittsburgh, they fixed the ac and their was a coolant issue that it went to the shop for the next day, it didn’t come out the shop for a week, we went on a trip and had to put it in the shop ourself while it was on the road, it was found that it was overfilled with oil and the coolant issue was still there, we got the oil issue fixed on our own dollar, and bought it back to the Ryder shop for the same coolant issue, it came out of the shop with the same leak and the same problem, we put it back in the shop the same day, ryder even towed it on their dime because it was their mess up, our truck was in the Ryder shop for 14 days while they kept saying the part wasn’t in meanwhile the part was 30 minutes up the road I had to go and sit in their shop for over 5 hours because they weren’t working on it, they finally tell us it’s fixed, we go to the truck start it up, it’s the same codes, we go in and ask “hey I thought the truck was done it has the same stop engine codes” he throws his hands up and says I don’t know we’ve tried everything the first Ryder you guys took it to should have told you to take it to Volvo I said you guys were the first Ryder we took it to, he throws his hands again and says well I don’t know we’ll take it to Volvo tonight. Volvo gets the truck and we get this email:We have received the estimate for your unit and the repairs will be $13K. I’m sending the estimate to management for review/approval due to the cost of repairs. The following repairs are listed: (diesel fuel found in the radiator, causing the coolant light to come on)all injectors & cups, thermostat, oil cooler needs to be resealed.I will send another update once I get a response from management. How is this a top tier truck? We have taken every measure to talk to anyone to help us, our representative Chad Brigham was of absolutely no help, I get up every morning at 6 am I’m calling him by 9-10 every day until 1pm or later everyday and he never answers or returns calls or emails and if he does he says “I’ll check into it and call you back” literally NEVER DOES, his Supervisor Christina NGO I’ve called her over 50x not one call back not one email, I’ve called corporate not one email or return call. We’ve had this truck for over a month and have lost so much revenue, We have even missed a 175k loan because our volume decreased in the last month because of this issue, our company literally makes $1500+ every 24 hours with bank and A/R reports to prove our revenue and we’ve been out of business for over 40 days YOU DO THE MATH ON WHAT OUR COMPANY HAS LOST, We asked for a rental we were told to go to a Ryder and pay for a rental and they would reimburse us LOL why do we have to go and pay ryder for Ryder to reimburse us, if our company was of any value and you see it’s your fault we should have just been emailed a location to go pick the rental up and go from there but we have to pay for it, how absurd is that. Ryder is a company/brand that I thought lived up to its name and reputation, but this situation that we are in let’s us know that RYDER does not care or represent anything but greed, to be in a national epidemic in the trucking industry is already gruesome, but to be a 9 month old company and buy a top tier truck with a warranty that isn’t what was advertised and not getting any help for over a month, I don’t think you could even fathom what it could do to a company. We have bills that we have to pay drivers that have been out of work insurance trailers etc that can’t be paid because we have a truck that doesn’t work. CHARACTERLIMITEXCEED

I live in Georgia and I bought a 2104 frightliner from rdyer, Bill of sale 10/29/2020.. I had to Teavel to Maryland to pick up the unit on 10/30/2020. When I got there and I was headed to get the truck I got a call saying the truck wasn’t in laural, It was on patapsco ave, when I got to patapsco they said the truck was in jessup at that point I’m irritated so I said I don’t have a lot of money to be taking cabs to different places... okay so the truck arrived about 45 mins later, As I was inspection the truck the tension pulley was really lose and making really noise, and the left gate full off so they did a repair Oder to be fixed... so I leave with the truck and didn’t even make it 17 miles, The truck started smoking really bad so I pulled over and it was oil ever where, Now mind you this was a Friday and end of business day... So I wasn’t able to go back to Georgia as planned I had to wait tell Monday for rdyer to reopen.. Monday come and I went to rdyer and told them what happened so they asked where was the truck I said where it broke down at. So they said oh we will fix it I said I don’t want nothing that couldn’t get me out of the state or not even the highway... So they offered to find me another truck but the few trucks they sent me was like 10,000 more then I paid, But the feeling I got was they really was trying to help me and they wasn’t replying to emails or calls... so at some point it got to just give me my money back. now keep in mind I only come to pick up this truck and this was a vacation so I wasn’t prepare to stay from Friday 10/30/2020 to Thursday 11/05/2020. so I was paying for hotels, clothes, food, cabs, etc out of my packet. My 2 mirror children was home waiting for my return. I missed work from my regular 9-5 and I wasn’t able to do a few loads I had planned for when I got back to Georgia... As of 11/09/2020 I’m still awaiting my reimbursement for travel and refunds for down deposits...They also did 3 hard credit checks... when I was only informed of one!!Peter OliverRebecca BowenAdam MeintzerHolly M. Horrible experience with Landon Dickenson with communication and professionalism. He just ghosted us after he received the down payment. I had to call their head quarter office in Miami to get someone to call us back. We purchased a so called "certified" truck. We flew to pick the truck up and drove it about 25-30 miles away from the Ryder and the truck broke down. We have called and emailed everyone no response. Now it's Friday, which means I am stuck until Monday. We purchased the extended warranty but guess what? The office is closed until Monday. We did manage to get someone on the phone but they don't know what to tell us. From beginning I should have just saw all the warning signs. Now I am going to post on all social media outlets and contact head quarters again on Monday. We have had other bad experiences to but its to long to post here.

Extremely Dishonest sales people and corporate people also who do not stand behind their product or their word. Sent me a truck I bought needing thousands in repairs and tell me at least I got a good deal on the truck. A truck that was suppose to be "ready to work" but doesn't work.. Too many other companies to do business with. You are relying on a fake reputation that shouldn't exist and all you're going to get is an over-inflated ego. If you call these people, you will regret it.

Be careful when purchasing "certified" used vehicles from Ryder. I purchased two tractor trailers that have been in the shop since I drove them off the lot. I have reached out to Ryder several times to try and come to a resolution concerning the units. My salesperson was Jonathan Ashe. He will do any and everything to get you purchase a vehicle, but once they have your check in hand they could care less about ensuring you are a satisfied customer. The two vehicles I purchased are lemons and I have been reaching out to Jonathan for weeks to see what can be done. Of course, my check has been cashed so he does not answer the phones nor does he return my calls after I leave a message. I am reaching out to the Corporate Headquarters with the hope that someone can right this wrong. However, I am now learning that this is a common issue with Ryder.

Chris Myles is the worst!! He refused to communicate with me once he had my money, held my title for a month, and sold me a CERTIFIED semi truck that needed about $10,000 worth of work done to it after 2 weeks of driving it. Thank God I got a warranty. I wish I could post my receipts from Freightliner on this review!! Email me
[email protected] and I’ll send them to you. C. Myles (Sales Manager) finally sent my title to Miami (Ryder Title Dep.) after I emailed the CEO of Ryder!RUN!!!! Don’t buy anything from Chris Myles in the GA location. RUN!!!!
