bought my groceries and one bottle of wine and i was refused the sale because i was with someone (my girlfriend) who was under the age of 21 (she will be 21 in a week). i tried asking if it was because of a law or store policy, but the woman who refused the sale wouldn’t tell me (which i realize now is because there isn’t one), she just wanted to turn down the sale. I was paying with MY card and MY ID, and I was a polite and friendly customer. i know she has the right to refuse a sale, but there is no reason to turn down the sale of one bottle of wine to someone 21+. it’s pointless to be so rude and difficult to a normal and polite customer that isn’t doing anything wrong. sorry, was i supposed to leave my girlfriend outside before I came in?

I never post reviews, but I had a not great experience. I LOVE Aldi, but the heavier man with brown hair is absolutely rude. If you don’t want to work there, quit and find a new job. On two different occasions in one visit (just now), he was annoyed to be dealing with me and had not one ounce of customer service.

Great prices, great meats, great selection. I wish their coffee creamer was less like water but it is a whole two dollars cheaper so maybe I get it

Y'all need more cashiers. There was only one cashier and they were having to keep an eye on 4 self check outs AND run a traditional register. That's how you get high turnover. Management needs to kick in and help out.

My wife loves Aldi. For me, it's OK but not as great as she says. Prices are not the lowest, there is no variety and quality is ... OK.

Very rude Manager and cashier.(Both female) I went to quickly grab a bottle of juice at 7:58 pm tonight, one of the employee was locking up the doors. I explained to him that I know they close at 8:00 pm, but I am going to quickly grab a juice and I will be out. He was very nice, he walked me to the isle, I grabbed the juice and went to self checkout and the female Manger and cashier kept on rambling to me about how I was wrong and should not be coming into the store at that time. Despite explaining to them I was at the door at 5:58. They were trying to agitate me by all means but I kept my calm. Meanwhile there were customers in the store still shopping and trying to checkout, also listening to them griping on and on. Me and my family will not be shopping at that Aldi anymore!!!!! They need help!

Called corporate two months ago after my husband and I were basically assaulted by the cashier mark. I asked if I could have my original buggy back because I wanted my quarter back because I realized I put one that was valuable. My husband began moving stuff from the buggy the cashier loved it back to my original so buggy and I explained why to the cashier. The cashier never even acknowledged me and proceeded to jerk the buggy from my hand and then he physically pull my husbands hands off the buggy and throw our items out of the cart in to the other one. As they scuffled for the buggy another employees came out and allowed us to have our original buggy. . In the parking lot many many customers told us we should call the police for assault and how rude he was. Corporate said they would look in to it and pass it on to the management. Instead they sent me a ten dollar gift card and the employee still works there.

This is the better Aldi in Athens. It has a bigger, better selection and is always stocked up when I go. I'm a avid Aldi shopper, and I prefer this location when I have the time to go, as opposed to the one closer to me.
