This is my first time living in Athens and I have loved living at 421 W. ARG has been great with communication, especially Jeremy, our property manager. Recently I was having trouble with my dishwasher and he was kind enough to follow up two days later. For anyone looking for a place to live, I’d highly recommend ARG properties.

I have been renting through Athens real estate group for a few years now. Within the past year, Athens real estate has continued to surprise me in the best way. Most recently, we had both our dryer and our refrigerator go out on us, communication with both issues was great! Jeremy went above and beyond going out of his way to help even through a holiday. Very sad to be leaving Bridgewater but hoping to find a new rental property through Athens real estate!

Genuinely probably the worst lease I've ever signed. They send out BS charges regularly, they don't keep their properties in good condition (didn't repair our HVAC and still charged us $75 anyways), and they're constantly trying to squeeze out as much money as humanly possible. Please for the love of God, avoid AREG at all costs.

Only giving one star because you have to give one... We have lived at our house since August of 2022, and have had sewage issues the entire time. The toilets will not flush, then they begin to rise and overflow, pushing sewage water up through sinks, tubs, and the toilets onto the floor. My husband and I welcomed twins in August of 23, yet the whole pregnancy and post-partum period have been tainted (literally) by sewage continuing to come into the home. Every time they come to "fix" it, there's some new reason that apparently causes the same problem of the sewage water backing into the house. We kept being told that someone would be there "that week," yet no one showed up. Only a few weeks before I gave birth, I came home to see the entire backyard dug up. That "fix" only lasted so long... My first shower after giving birth to one baby AND having a c-section for the second was interrupted by sewage water pushing up onto my feet and splashing up onto my body and incision... which is an extreme infection risk. AGAIN, sewage backed up in the toilets, sinks, and tubs, but it was just a clog in the main toilet of wet wipes (a product we DO NOT use... yet we were charged for it). This has been an ongoing problem, yet nothing will get "fixed." Sewage has pushed back up into the toilets and bathrooms and/or overflowed onto the floors in February, May, July, twice in November already, and then once again last night. We have had to go to friends' houses several times to shower. We have had to bathe our babies in tubs of water, as I will not put them in a sink or tub that fills with sewage water at a moment's notice. Finally, at almost 9 PM last night, completely unprompted, black sewage started filling the tubs and toilets, spilling out all over the floors once again. We were told the emergency maintenance person would be on the way soon. TWO HOURS later, we call back to ask where they are, and are told no one is coming. We are told to keep it contained with towels the best we can. We cannot shower, cannot use the restroom, and cannot bathe our newborns. At almost midnight, we are forced to scramble to find somewhere to stay so that we can shower and use the restroom before work the next day with our dog and two babies.Unless you want to have to FIGHT to get problems like this that are a risk to health and well-being, do not live here. We will NOT be renewing our lease, and recommend you find somewhere else to go.

Im currently a tenant along with 3 other roommates in one of their rental properties. When we first moved in at the beginning of August we were hit with a $500+ power bill, which was absolutely absurd. We reached out to see if there was any solution to mediate this, as our AC unit had frozen due to late maintenance. We called the rental group and Jim helped us contact the owner of the property and come to an agreement. It took several weeks, but we were reimbursed a large portion of this original bill. If there is a problem they are willing to work with you to come to a viable solution!

I have two sons who attend UGA and this is their second year renting from AREG and we are already trying to make arrangements for next year. It has been a very good experience. They are responsive, helpful, and professional whenever my guys have needed anything. I am a grateful parent!

Wow!! Jillian was amazing! She went above and beyond, worked with four guys to secure their house. She kept in touch every step of the way, answered questions quickly and let them know what the next steps would be in the leasing process. She truly made it such an easy and smooth process! We will definitely be leasing from Jillian again!!

So far these guys have been the best and most communicative property management company I’ve ever worked with. They do their own move in inspection which seemed fairly honest, and they have been able to quickly address major issues at the house I’ve just moved into. They’re easy going when it comes to pets and they’re easy to get in contact with and generally have been very responsive. Thank you for making moving to Georgia a bit easier than it could have been.

I typically don’t leave Google Reviews, but I felt that this one was necessary. Truly, I am giving Athens Real Estate Group one star because Google doesn’t allow you to select zero. Believe me, if I could, I likely would. While the folks working at and for Athens Real Estate Group are generally pleasant, there are some significant flaws with the properties. If anyone frequents Facebook marketplace, AREG is like the equivalent of the “I know what I got” users. If you’re looking for blatant landlord specials and jerry-rigged repairs/appliances, this is definitely the place for you. For all new-coming tenants, be sure to fill out that move-in inspection really REALLY thoroughly. Otherwise, Athens Real Estate Group will happily con you out of money based upon, what appears to be, YEARS of damage prior to your residency. I moved into a home (2975 Riverbend Rd) with nail holes, immense plumbing issues (we’re talking washing machine/toilet FLOODS), hastily painted and puttied over previous wall and door damage (one of the doors that had been spackled over actually remained squishy for my entire lease), clothing and damage from previous tenants, AND an army, repeat ARMY of dead lady bugs piled in layers on the window sills. I promise there was more, but these are prominent in my recollection. However, I do want to be clear that I really had no quarrels with the condition of my home when moving in, despite the notable damages and miscellaneous ‘funks’. I certainly got what I was paying for and loved living there!Though, what has been immensely disappointing in AREG is their attempt to charge me for said damages when 1) it seems pretty clear that they probably have no intention of actually implementing those repairs, and 2) I had very little hand in causing any of said damage. (This is not to say I don’t willingly accept the damages myself/my pet had caused)Additionally, I did not appreciate the patronizing tone of whom ever works their desk. It made calling with questions, concerns, contests to charges etc. extremely uncomfortable and upsetting. Yes, a lot of us are young college students. No, we (like every other person) do not appreciate being spoken to like underdeveloped children, especially not in snarky tones from some miserable soul behind a phone.Though, if you receive the email you told me to send over, I hope you do thoroughly enjoy it, ma’am.All in all, not the best experience, but maybe this review will have some stars tacked back on once (if) some of these issues can be resolved

My daughter just moved out of one of their properties after 2 years. We had a very positive experience and would use them again. Some minor issues along the way, but they worked with us as needed.
