Beechwood pines was a great place to live as a grad student. Quiet community and short drive to campus. Short walk to a great variety of stores and restaurants. Also maintenance staff was always very prompt and responsive.

Don’t give this place your business. My year and a half here for graduate school was an awful experience. In the apartments the walls are paper thin, roaches are a consistent problem, and the appliances including the AC are old and outdated. At moveout I was charged $600 for a cheap carpet that was 2.5 years old and had stains before I even moved in. They look for any opportunity to milk you with extra fees and fines. Sign at your own risk.

My roommate and I have been living here since January, and I have to say I am impressed. I was a bit worried at first being as they do not let you view the apartment before you move in, but we have really had no issues. The community is really well kept and not very much crime in the area. The maintenance people are always so kind and come as soon as a request has been made. The neighbors are quiet and friendly. Overall it has been a wonderful stay here and we will definitely be renewing our lease at the end of the year!

Lived here for 2 years and dealt with pest control issues the entire time. It started after we moved in so I believe it was either an issue from the last residents or the building in general (because you can see swarms of roaches crawling around at night all over the building and breezeways). Leasing did send pest control out but it did nothing to resolve the issue, and they seemed like they didn't really care. They never offered to put us in another unit or even get us a hotel room to fumigate the apartment. They acted as if bugs were normal. The pest control and maintenance man even told us that if we ever found dead roaches that was "good" because it meant treatments were working. I woke up to a roach above my bed one of the first months I was here. If it weren't for the constant roaches and other bugs, I would have stayed since the location is so great. Do not move here.

Beechwood Pines literally became my second home. I am a graduate student, and it was the most perfect place to live. I can list so many benefits: clean grounds despite being extremely dog friendly, quiet and friendly neighbors, fast maintenance, responsive management, fun events, and so much more. The main reason I had to leave was that our family was outgrowing a one bedroom apartment. I was sad to have to go. I would recommend Beechwood Pines to anyone looking for a quiet, amazing apartment complex. Bonus points because it is a gated community and it is right next to a Kroger and a ton of really good stores. You won't regret living here!

Lived here for 5 years. Location is great, but the units are much older than they look, and many are in poor condition on the inside. They will raise your rent 10% every year, so do not be fooled by the price they give you. When you move out, they will charge you for damages that don't exist, and refuse to provide any proof or explanation, and then threaten to harm your credit score if you do not pay up. This is not a local apartment, it is owned by a multi-billion dollar real estate management group who wants to take as much of your money as possible. The firm posts fake 5-star reviews to inflate the score. If you do not care about value/money, this is a fine apartment.

I have been a resident here for nearly two years, and I am leaving since I got my new job in Kentucky. I believe the location is great. Ms. Kelly Nelms is the best of the best. She is always very understanding and helpful. I am appreciative of what she has done. The maintenance staff is great as well. Service request are always completed the same day. I have had a wonderful experience here.

The community management team and maintenance team are great, after submitting the maintenance report, a maintenance staff will soon come to repair. My kitchen Tap is leaking, they don't have a faucet in stock, they go to Home Depot to buy the faucet and install it immediately. Great Service! Nice People!

They wont let you tour or even into the neighborhood, but want a deposit and lease signed. This is literally the only place in Athens that wont allow in person tours. Typical Athens customer service.

Not allowed to view the property before they wanted a $300.00 deposit. Plans changed and I wont be moving to this city. Ive talked to 3 people here. The 1st lady I talked to was a bit arrogant and uppity, but I let it go because I know how WP in the South are. Overrated. Prices have gone up over $100 in the last month.

So weird leaving a review for a place I do not live in. Nor do I know anyone who does. I walk daily for 2 years now and walk past Beechwood on my route. I have made it a priority to walk that route because of Beechwood. Between the balconies, comfortable and quiet environment and superb landscaping and pool area it has always been a place I wish I lived in. The location is great and the pool/grilling area looks phenomenal. I can't really afford Beechwood and my credit isnt great so I have never applied. My apartment is nice, clean and comfortable but there is something about Beechwood (maybe just the curb appeal) that seems to try to pull me in..lol hope this wasnt TOO weird.

I applied for an apartment a few months ago and immediately tried to cancel my application after learning that there was a very long wait list. At that point, no charge was made to my credit card so I figured I could easily contact the apartment complex and cancel the application, thus saving me the $50 application fee. No application, no fee, right?

Really great and cozy place to live! Comfortable apartments + very pet friendly! There is a nice little dog area and even free dog bags for residents. The office ladies are always so kind and attentive. This place also has by far the BEST maintenance team. They're always prompt and through when fixing things. The location is also hard to beat. Super close to places to eat, shop, get groceries, and just a short drive or bus ride to campus.

Maintenance is kind and helpful. Apartment complex is quiet. As a graduate student, this is the perfect neighborhood for me.
