Got a good deal on a Samsonite carry on and pair of shorts. Depressing that the rest of the mall isn’t what it used to be but glad Belk is still there. Store is clean and associates friendly & helpful.

It is a nice place, like a small JC Penny, it is the mayor Athens Mall remaining store, I really enjoy visit the mall wondering how good could that be back in the days. We will visit it again for sure!

Went to get a gift for my granddaughter. Unfortunately, I was reminded why it is i don't shop in stores and prefer online.
The little girls dept has no clear definition for the different size groups. The toddlers, little girls and big girls are all kind of jumbled together. It made looking for the proper size extremely difficult.
I don't want to see department stores become obsolete, but it's so much easier to buy online. No searching thru clothing racks for the right size, no dealing with cramped up shopping between overloaded clothing racks. Pwople move things out of where they belong, and it's just a massive ordeal to shop in store or to locate the item you're wanting effectively.
Maybe if they had a more organized area to shop in, or better defined sections it wouldn't be so bad.
To be fair the ladies in the department were doing their best to keep it tidy, but some shoppers have no respect for the employees or the company. They just make a mess. With such limited space, there is only so much that can be done.

While in Athens GA visiting my daughter, I came here for a "Fit for the Cure" bra-fitting marketing event sponsored by Wacoal as a fundraiser for breast-cancer research. I am a 4-yr survivor, & this was my 1st proper fitting post-lumpectomy due to the Covid-19 pandemic closures occurring during my treatment. Needless to say, it could have been awkward, but being very Georgia, all these ladies in the intimates department were so very personable & courteous, & the fitting remained very professional while being so helpful (even openly offering help hands-on with fastening & adjusting each bra, which was greatly appreciated as my physical-reach limitations can pose a struggle ever since treatment), & never made me feel awkward nor uncomfortable at all. Unfortunately in-store inventory turned out to be low in my size, but the staff went above & beyond in also checking online, too.
The rest of the Belk store was also as great as I remembered it, although the remainder of the Georgia Square Mall itself has gravely declined into mostly a ghost mall, sadly, & has odd musty smells permeating throughout the building, as though it has suffered flooding damage & some general surface rot is ensuing.

Could use more merchandise. However the store was clean. The customer service was great. Prices could do alot better only fair priced items are on sale or clearance. But still a good selection of name brand items
