I have been going to Jenny at The Cottage for over 20 years. She knows hair and especially mine as I am a “lady of a certain age.” Jenny does a great job and I’m always 100% satisfied and relaxed after the appointment. She has clients both young and old, and this senior citizen recommends her for anything to do with hair - styling, cutting and/or coloring.

Wanted to try a new salon and never got the opportunity to experience allover highlights and cut by owner Jenny! Made an appt. a week ago at 12pm. She texted me 1 hour before appt. and said her daughter was sick and if I could come in late afternoon. I could not so I rescheduled for the following week at 12pm. Wouldn't you know, I got a text saying that she had a doctor's appt. and could I come in later that afternoon!! This owner doesn't need the business or money. All I can say is that she missed out on a $250.00 appt. with me. I'll take my money elsewhere.

I never write reviews but I just have to for Jenny! She did an amazing job on my hair a total hair transformation! My hair was fine and wouldn’t grow and it was a dull brown color due to me trying to color it and messing up! She colored my hair back to blonde and put 18 inch extensions in my hair. They were keratin bond extensions so they took a while to put in. 20 hours to be exact! Jenny took her time and took care of my hair she also let my two young sons come with me since I didn’t have child care but knew this is something I really wanted for years! Because of her I finally have my dream hair! Long blonde thick hair! It’s just tripled my confidence and everyone loves it! My hair was always a major insecurity for me but not now! It’s amazing! Jenny is fabulous. I have gotten the most compliments ever after she’s done my hair. She’s honest & hard working, & genuinely cares about her clients. Her little cottage has the best relaxing vibe. I feel absolutely revitalized & refreshed after my appts.

Jenny was very sweet and very nice. However, I encountered many issues... first off my friend and I went together. We had asked and she said that was fine and so she booked us at 6. We didn't start getting our hair done until 7... we were literally there until midnight getting our hair done. I appreciate her being devoted but if she couldn't fit us in that would have been easier said then waiting till midnight getting our hair finished. My last issue is she left the bleach in my hair for a very long time while doing my friends hair and now I have chunks of hair that have been burned off from the bleach being left in for soooo long. She was a very very sweet lady I just don't think I can recommend her. I have recently gotten my hair done by Hannah Pachutta at town center salon in Watkinsville and she did an excellent job and my hair feels so much healthier than it did after my appointment with Jenny.

Jenny did a wonderful job on my haircut and she is very personable/friendly! She was easy to chat with throughout my appointment. A women's haircut (including wash & dry, but no styling) was $60.00. I felt it was a bit pricey but then again maybe I'm just cheap. In all fairness, I haven't tried out many other places in the area, so I don't know how her prices compare to other local stylists. The biggest drawback was thatThe cottage was difficult to find...I drove up and down Macon highway for 15 minutes looking for it. (Turn into the driveway of the apartment complex and it's up the hill, behind the fraternity house!) Overall, I would return to Jenny because the haircut was great!

I have to say that this was the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE THAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED IN A LONG TIME!!!! I had gone online to look for a NEW Salon to do my hair and Cottage Salon came up with a 5 Star Review. The Salon was close to where I lived, so I decided to call and find out about the the hair color products they use and then book an appointment. I left a message on the # listed and NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK, so I called back again and left a message, with again NO RETYRN PHONE CALL I then pulled up the website and found that you book your appointment online. I booked an appointment as a New Client wanting highlights, low highlights, a shaping of hair, lip waxing and eyebrow tinting. Price was right at $200.00. The online booking was done on 01/19/2018 for the date if 02/10/18 at 10:45 AM. I soon received an email back with confirmation of the appointment on 01/19/2018. On 02/09/18, I received an email reminding me of my appointment. I showed at 10:40 AM on 02/10/2018 and Jenny was doing root color on a client and asked if I was Lisa andI said yes and she had me sit down. I waited till 11:00 AM and finally asked how much longer? She said I could go out and grap some coffee and come back at 11:30 AM and she could start with me. I came back at 11:20 AM When I came back, Jenny was just starting to foil the client's hair. After waiting another 15 minutes, I asked her how long and Jenny stated that it was taking long to do her hair then expected and that she had rebooked this client for today due to be out sick last week. I asked when she could take me and Jenny stated 1:15 PM. I then asked if she could be done by 3:30 PM? I told her I had an appointment to take dogs to get shots and then had dinner plans for tonight. I could by look on her face that she was not sure. I left, went and ran some errands and then went and got the dogs and called the vet to see if I could come earlier to get them their shots. The get was very accommodating. I brought the dog's home and right after I got home; I get a text from Jenny stating the following.... That she was still working with client and WOULD NOT be able to accomodate me because she had another client at 2:00 PM and could u reschedule with her for next Saturday the 17th of February. I then was very upset; especially after taking dogs in to get shots when the appt. for shots was scheduled for 3:30 pm and I had to change because of Jenny! I told that would not work and that I really did not appreciate her never returning my phone calls or bothering to contact me on Friday to tell me she had booked a regular client during my scheduled time!!! Apparently, her regular cliental is MORE IMPORTANT THEN A NEW CLIENT!! I WASTED MY WHOLE SATURDAYORNING BECAUSE IF LACK OF COMMYNICATION FROM HER! I WILL NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH HER AGAIN AND WOULD NEVER REFER ANTONE TO HER!! THE GOOD news is, I called the 2nd Salon on my list and they gladly took me in. Had a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE, GOT HAIR COLORING, AND TRIM!!! Booked a recurring appointment in 8 weeks and left a 30% tip!!!!
