Dollar General, store #13858. 800 Danielsville Rd, Athens Ga 30601.
2 Complaints:(1)The items priced on the shelves are marked at a lower cost, but then the same item rings up a higher price at the checkout register. At the checkout register, customers are charged a dollar 1 or more extra on items when they go through the register for checkout! The prices on the shelves are lower than the prices programmed in the register. The store is ripping customers off, saying the prices are lower on the shelf, but then when you get to the register, the items ring up a higher price than the price displayed on the shelves!
(2) This issue was brought to the attention of the checkout clerk. The checkout clerk responded in a rude irate manner, I haven't had time to change the prices on the shelves, the clerk also said, I either wanted the items at the register price or I didn't! I asked the clerk if I could have the items at the shelf price. The checkout clerk became even more irate and said again, "Do you want these items at the register price or not!" Being that I'm a regular Dollar General shopper, Dollar General has always charged their customers the shelf prices over the prices programmed in the register when an issue with pricing is brought to their attention.

The cashier threw an item on the floor behind the register because I decided I didn’t want it.
I find that highly disrespectful.
I hope you know you are in a field of customer service and fix your attitude or just leave. Not a job for you if you cannot treat people well.

Closed the door 10 minutes before closing time with 2 employees sitting at the register and customers in the store.

When going to the store on 10/18/2023My car was damaged by the pole sticking out of the ground. I have called over 20 times. The day it happened manager charman was called and she told me what do I want her to do? No incident report was done. No nothing. My car is damaged and bumper is ripped off. I need my car fixed, calls returned and emails because that pole shouldn’t be in the parking lot

I’ll give it 0 stars this store is completely empty when you looking for products to find.Omg poor management doesn’t speak are even offered for assistance.Yawl better not come here their always low on stock.Even change in the register there.
