Stayed at the game day, June 11 through the 14th. We had two bathrooms the first bathroom if you went in it it had water damage. You could see where near the molding and the ceiling water had come down and then in my bathroom, the shower curtain at the end was filthy so I imagine it was filthy all over the toilet seat a move from the left to the right it was loose then behind the bathroom door at the bottom on the floor. There were two holes and it looked like it was beginning to mildew at the end of our state we had to hunt for a cart to transport our luggage and things back down to our car. I did not stay with them last year, but I stayed within the year before when there was a dead mouse in my parking lot space and I advised them of it and they never removed it. GameDay has experienced management different when I began to go there years ago and it’s bad

Location is great and the rooms are big. Pretty clean but could be better. Weird decor if I'm being honest, but absolutely great location.

Nasty ! Roaches in the coffee! Rats in the building! Employees sleep in the units without owners permission! Racist employees and owners!

Sometimes there are noises outside of people screaming like someone on drugs. It is very comfortable, and clean.

This is a condo, not a hotel, and that makes it a great place for a family travelling together. We had a three bedroon, three bath with kitchen and living room which allowed six of us to socialize and hang out together. You just can't do that in a hotel. The condo is in downtown Athens, close to restaurants and bars and near the UGA campus. You can walk to almost everywhere you want to go. We have travelled for years an always get a condo when there are several of us. A hotel is okay for a place to sleep but a condo allows for spending time together in a place with sufficient room.

Upon check-in, I was handed a key with a unit number different than the one I reserved on AirBnB. No communication was given from the host prior to arrival or the receptionist at check-in about the switch. When I inquired, I was told by the receptionist "Oh, the owner is here and when that happens, we move you to another unit." I told her I would look at the other unit and decide. That decision took about 30 seconds - no comparison to the photos. Rather than stainless appliances and tile showers and shiny red stainless barstools, I was given old white appliances, fiberglass tub units, and grandma's old wooden barstools. The receptionist then gave me two more units to try, as if I had all day to tour their building. I then contacted AirBnB customer support, and they were amazing throughout this nightmare experience. The staff of GameDay, on the other hand, were horrendous. AirBnB negotiated a reduced rate for one of the units, which was no where close to the photos of what we reserved, while we went...late...to our dinner plans to meet family. Upon our return, we unloaded our vehicle and began to settle in and then began to notice the unit was not clean. There was hair in the shower, a large wad of hair in the kitchen floor, trash in the trash can, dirty baseboards and corners, and mess all over the carpet. I sent photos to AirBnB. I showed the photos to the receptionist whose only suggestion was for me to send them to the front desk email account "for management," who was blatantly absent, and to wait for the cleaning lady the next day. AirBnB provided a refund to cover the cleaning fee but was unable to reach management again. Our reservation was for five people. We had four towels. I called the front desk and the (next shift) receptionist told me he would "try to locate one." He brought be a nicely folded towel, which I discovered, while dripping wet, was actually a hotel floor mat. The next morning, I checked with the (next shift) receptionist, whom we shall call Unconcerned Chris. He never looked up from his screen as he assured me, "You're on the list" for the unit to be cleaned. Five hours later, upon our return, the room was not clean. I again spoke to Unconcerned Chris, who again, never looked up from his screen, as he told me with much annoyance, "I told you that you're on the list." I asked for a specific time. He endured physical distress as he made the huge effort to call the cleaning person and ask if she received his message on the app. He then gave her instructions to clean our unit. We left so that she could. Two hours later, she had not come. Unconcerned Chris then gave me the manager Tiffany's email, which of course, went unanswered throughout our stay. Other than these hughly unprofessional incidents, the stay was mediocre at best. The unit doors slam loudly, so if you are sleeping in the front bedroom, you will need earplugs. There is also the expected street and partying noise of a college town building. I would NEVER stay here again. And I am mortified at the disrespect this place gives to the sacred Bulldog name.

This is probably my sixth or seventh stay at Georgia Game Day Center. Five years ago, we stayed there for my daughter‘s wedding along with the entire wedding party. Although it had shown some wear, it was always clean. I have to say, that I was very disappointed in my stay this time. I stayed in room 509. When I pulled back the covers for my bed I found a toenail and lots of hair. It was obvious that the bedding had never been changed. Additionally, counters in the kitchen were sticky and unclean. The staff downstairs was extremely courteous and helped me obtain replacement bedding. It makes me sad to write this because this has been a favorite of my family for years. Unfortunately, I won’t be back.
