This organization as a whole can not be trusted. Especially in Georgia. Right down to the employees. Use to shop in stores for years and that went to hell. Tried online which I never thought was a worse experience. No accountability across the board. More lost items, electronics that don't work, or their fall too is abandoned. You are actually better shopping with ebay where as a buyer you are covered in the event of fraud which seems to be common place with this organization. Just look at their Better Business Report where there is 10% resolved issues out of 100%. That pretty much says it all. What is abandoned is any morals anyone must have to work for this place. "Putting people to work" on the backs of others. That should be their moto. I'm surprised they haven't been shut down yet. Again you are safer using ebay where you are actually covered for things.

Prices for a thrift store is outrageous. Everything is free to you but you price everything too high for thrift stores.

I see Goodwill has hopped aboard the corporate price-gouging bandwagon. Goods, furniture, and some handbags are unaffordable for vendors and resellers now. If theres an original price tag on an item they will price it the same or more, even walmart brands. The clothing has a strong, unpleasant perfume smell. No air purifiers so if the dust and perfume doesn't get to you, the people walking around with covid and flu will. Stay at home if you're sick, people.

This store had a lot of merchandise but it was all priced exorbitantly! And there was a lot of stuff not priced at all! I go to goodwill to shop for donated (used) items. I don’t want to pay high prices! Because, like tonight, I will leave it at the store!

No fitting rooms anymore, so rude help. Prices ridiculous for stuff they get for free. Once I take the pants back I will never go back to any Goodwill.

Why am I giving this Goodwill store five stars ?Many of their items are low priced and will eventually become a treasure to another owner. Therefore it is not going into a landfill.Several of their employees have jobs and may not be easily employed by other businesses. They have a job center and try to help and advise those in need of work.As this Goodwill is in a bigger shopping plaza, parking is not a question.Easy handicap ♿️ access, automatic door, wide isles.Dressing rooms are available, bathrooms are clean. The variety of merchandise covers many different items. From clothing to toys, furniture, knick knacks, books, gifts etc..Lots of stuff.Maybe just the item you were looking for.I know there are critics of Goodwill but it's just another store to me.And I like it.

I'm disappointed with my recent experience. I shop here all the time (and it's been great) and am familiar with the cashiers asking if you'd like to "round up", sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. When I was in line today, I was not asked this question. When I got home, I noticed on my receipt that the cashier automatically rounded up without asking me, which I don't appreciate. To not ask someone and to just upcharge them is stealing so I would advise anyone shopping here to check their receipts before they leave and to watch out for sneaky cashiers.

For an original lodge #3 fry pan with label attached for $7.00, original sticker was $1,25!

If I could give it negative stars I would. The Goodwill on Lexington Road, Athens, GA will only offer a store credit for a return. I bought a dress on Friday, November 10. I couldn't try it on because the dressing rooms were closed, permanently. I paid CASH for my purchase and was told I could return it within 7 days and get my money back. It didn't work for me and I went back to the store on Saturday, November 11 to return it. I was told they would not give me my cash back, but would only give me a store credit. I explained that I didn't want a store credit. I wanted my cash and I was told the day before that I could get a refund. The assistant manager said this had been their policy for two years and whoever told me this was wrong. I told them who checked me out on Friday, but the AM would still not refund my money. I took the store credit and vowed never to shop there again. I will give this credit to a friend. Shame on you Goodwill! You close your changing rooms and make me purchase an item and take it home to try it on. Then when it doesn't work and I want to return it to get MY CASH back, you say no -- only a store credit. Very sneaky policy on your part, but also very deceptive.

Absolute trash store. First of all the selection wasn’t good. Then I needed to try on some items and they wouldn’t allow me to. Then one item didn’t have price tag. Instead of just giving me some darn price the manager comes out says “no price, no sale”. Horrible customer service with lazy trash working there.

Love this store I have been coming to this store for years. Apparently they have a new manager name “Tammy” that I only seen once and she does not know how to talk to her employees. Seems like she lacks management skills, I’ve never heard anyone in management talk to their employees at that store the way she does. I would advised leadership classes…

Poor pricing, employees aren't paid enough to care. With every raise they cut employee hours to compensate.I waited 10 minutes at the jewelry counter with employees around and nobody even looked at me so I left and doubt I'll return to a goodwill.
