The hotel is the original one which may or may not be a good thing. The lobby and coffee shop are very nice and it's a convenient walk to the main street and then onto campus. The rooms and gym were reminiscent of a motel though. I've stayed at several other graduates and this is not in the same category. It's more of a boutique motel than a luxury hotel for sure. We saw the ones in Knoxville and North Carolina and they were significantly nicer.

The staff at Poindexter and the front desk were wonderful. Best vibe and decor in town. Amazing breakfast sandwiches and coffee. They rushed our order and brought it to us as we boarded our airport shuttle. 10/10

Avoid staying here for any important events!!!They booked over my friend’s stay in the presidential suite ON HER WEDDING NIGHT. They also refused to return the room to her even though she had email confirmation of the reservation from months ago.Like who does that???Trash reservation system and trashier management.Noteworthy details: Bad management

Was not clean!! Open beer cans left in the fridge, shower doors are wrong size so do not shut properly causing water to spill out onto the floor. Emergency exit door on second floor is left open all day. Horrible Wi-Fi so if you need to work during your stay it will be difficult. Very rude management unwilling to help in any way. Was provided the number to tech support and told to handle Wi-Fi ourselves.

First, I'd like to say that every employee we interacted with was welcoming, kind, and very personable. We had a great experience talking to the staff and they were very responsive to our needs. Also, the exterior of this property is lovely. It feels like a bit of magic history from the outside. However, the guest room experience is to be frank, terrible. This hotel has a huge interior moisture problem that leaves the rooms smelling like a terribly moldy, dank basement. The staff are aware of this problem, and it's been mentioned in reviews of the property. Prior to booking, I assumed this was a one-off situation or one bad room, however it is not and it's a critical issue across the property. The Graduate corporation should be ashamed of how it has outfitted and maintained the guest rooms at this property. Especially so because staff, management, and corporate are fully aware of the issues but are deceptively selling this hotel as a high-end oasis when in actuality - it’s a Days Inn with a paint job.

Odd room that did not reflect the brand of the Graduate Hotel experience. Bathroom was tiny with no exhaust fan causing entire room to heat up after a shower. Vanity area had one small sink and one mirror across entire area. Just weird set up

It’s a very aesthetically pleasing environment with nostalgic decor, but the building is quite old which causes it and the rooms to have a smell that reminded me of my great-grandparents house. Not pleasant. You get used to it, but for what they charge on game days, not appropriate. Luckily we were able to stay on a non-game weekend and paid a reasonable price.

Only stayed for one night, but we had a great time. Convenient downtown, unique, clean, and great service.

Rooms are damp and smell 20 years old. Fixtures damaged. Hugely overpriced.

We were scared because on our way to Athens we were reading the reviews and they weren’t good, so we were pleasantly surprised when we got there the room was so cute and quirky We loved it I know the reviews said rooms smelled bad but it was just kind of an old smell but it faded quickly and to be expected for an older place Surely wasn't as bad as it was reviewed! The bed was so comfortable, bathroom was clean and so was room. Only negative was fridge wasn't as cold as it should have been but air worked great and we enjoyed our stay. Staff was superb!!

I was so impressed by this property. The staff was so friendly making us feel so welcome at our arrival. The room was tastefully decorated, well maintained and very comfortable. I will surely return to this charming city & great hotel.

Fantastic stay! Staff very friendly & helpful giving walking directions to football stadium, supplying item forgotten to pack, and taking time to chat. Updated cute room with collegiate theme & super comfortable bed. Convenient distance away from downtown, so quiet and could sleep.

Hotel is very nice and is located very close to downtown which was great - walking distance for sure. Coffee and food on the hotel grounds were also very good. When we return to Athens, we would stay here again.

Awful just awful. I checked in there tonight and walked in the motel room and literally turned around and walked out. We have stayed at a number of graduate properties and this was totally unacceptable. I prepaid for the room and I will tell you I plan to call corporate to try to get my money back but at this point I don’t even care because I could not possible stay there. How they can charge almost 500 for that motel style room that looked like it wasn’t clean and a converted motel 6 is beyond me. I get the old times style but this was so much worse. DO NOT STAY HERE. Even if you are desperate.

We enjoyed the graduate again after seeing sister hazel at the Georgia theater! What a great time at both. And must give a shout out to the hotel staff especially Asia as she was awesome in assisting us in every aspect. Kudos to her and the staff. Would recommend if your looking for a unique experience in Athens.
