I travel for a living, that being said I use Hilton exclusively! I’ve never had an issue checking out a day early, even if I choose semi flex when I book. This place outright refused to work with me checking out early. Will never, ever stay at this location again for that reason! Not to mention the sticky floors, broken ice machine, refrigerator that doesn’t work. I’m very surprised that the Hilton brand would allow this to happen.

I would highly advise against staying at this hotel. Especially if you are on business travel. I am a Gold Honors Member and have been a Diamond member (and will likely make diamond again this year) so I have extensive experience staying in Hilton properties. I travel extensively and on occasion have to check out earlier than planned. Never in all my years of travel have I been charged to check out early. It's rare that I have to do so but there's never been any question from the hotels about me checking out early with no charge. Well not at this hotel. BTW...I stayed 3 nights and only needed to check out 1 day early. The manager said they had a strict policy against this. Even when I told her I was a loyal Hilton Honors member, she did not care.
However, the hotel did NOT have a strict policy about ensuring the hotel was properly maintained and serviced. As you can see from other reviews, one of the elevators is not working (and has not for weeks) and the other one lurched and made grinding noises while passing the 3rd floor. Other patrons were also concerned about this. I've never had an elevator in any location feel this unsafe. When I told the manager about it, she assured me it was safe. I'm an engineer and knew this didn't sound safe, therefore I walked to the 4th floor for the whole stay (I was there 3 nights). Then when they were to clean my room, they did not make the bed. There's a placard on the bathroom mirror that clearly describes that making the bed is to be done on the service day and they did not perform it. Finally, as someone has also mentioned, there are panhandlers on the corners next to the hotel and even in the parking lot. I travel to Los Angeles and haven't seen this many in one location.
This hotel has STRICT policies about taking your money but did not have STRICT policies about ensuring a pleasant stay for their patrons. I love Hilton properties in general, but this hotel does not meet the Hilton standard.

While staying at this property we had a horrible experience our room was facing the roof top bar that played music so loud you could hear it in our rooms. When I called the front desk after midnight to ask if they knew what time the bar quit paying music since the bar had already been closed for over an hour, and I had to work the next morning the desk clerk was rude and said I guess when they decide to turn it off.
I believe you should inform people what to expect when they stay with you. This is highly inconvenient for light sleepers. There was no offer to move rooms or compensate. Will never stay here again.
Noteworthy details: Do not have get a room with odd number will be facing roof top bar

I was in town for new student orientation at UGA with my son. We stayed 2 nights.
The front desk staff was friendly. My reasons for a 4 star instead of 5 may not be an issue for others.
1. Floors were not very clean. They looked like they had been swept but when I walked in my socks, my socks got pretty dirty. Usually, I have Crocs, but I forgot them for this trip. Everything else seemed clean.
2. We could hear EVERY sound in the hallway. Thankfully the hallway traffic quieted down around 11 so we could sleep. I did not hear the neighboring rooms or the floor above us.
3. They don't have individual complementary shampoo, conditioner, etc. They have a store size bottle attached to the walls. Not a fan. Thankfully, I remembered my own, but we did have to make a run to Target for my son.
The complementary breakfast was good and typical of hotel breakfasts. The woman putting out the breakfast items was very friendly.
We stayed at another hotel across the street (next to Longhorn) and the Hampton Inn was a better experience.
We will return when visiting our UGA student.
Rooms: Other than the floors, the room was clean. The new non-carpeted floors need to be mopped with disinfectant and clean water after every guest.
Hallway noise can be heard.
Walkability: There are many restaurants nearby to walk to or just a short drive.

It was a fair hotel but on this date, Sunday July 14, 2024, people were checking I ut and a Jeep Vehicle was parked under g rent shelter where your guest need to pull through to put their luggage in their vehicles. Guest were complaining to front desk and one of your employees came out and said under shelter at entrance was employees parking. The vehicle blocking guest belonged to your employee. End of our staying there as husband is disabled and she would not move her car. That is not employee parking right there at entrance.

I drove 18 hours, totally exhausted, to experience a situation that made me feel like I was in the civil rights era!!! The woman at the front desk, who states she’s a manager, was extremely disgusting and rude. This woman had the audacity to cancel my reservation because she said my cousin was rude to her but never explained how. She was given very much prejudice, which is sad. I booked the Homewood Suite downtown with no issues. The hotel was clean, and everyone was very pleasant. People like this should not be in a position to toy with anyone's livelihoods. I will never book at this Hampton inn!

I reserved a room for an overnight stay while I was waiting to move into my new house the next morning. I knew I would be getting into Athens late, so I booked a least a month prior. Unfortunately, my moving company, and me, were delayed and so I realized I would not be able to reach Athens that night. I called the hotel and explained the situation, however they told me it was past the time allowed to cancel. Obviously I had no idea until shortly before that I would be delayed. I offered a number of alternatives to cancellation, for example transferring the stay to a Hampton Inn closer to where I was on the highway or changing the date of the stay. They rejected all of these solutions and rudely told me there was nothing they can so because the stay had started. I explained it had not started because I was not, in fact, at the hotel or even in town yet. They insisted that there was nothing they could do but charge me the full amount and would not work with me to transfer or modify the reservation at all. The person I spoke to was rather rude from the get go, so clearly customer service is a very low priority for this hotel.
As a side note, now that I live in Athens and am familiar with the area, I would caution against staying here anyway. The area is very sketchy and there are sadly many vagrants hanging outside the hotel. I just would not feel comfortable staying here, even if the customer service had not been horrendous. There are many other places at the same price point in town that are safer and actually value their guests. Steer clear.
Safety: Unsafe area, very sketchy. Would not want to be outside at night around there.

Horrendously rude front desk. She threatened to call the police because I said it was ridiculous i couldn't rent a room because my girlfriend lives in Athens. Guess I'll drive back to New Jersey? oh wait, there's other hotels in the area that want my $200 for an ugly room. Lobby smells like cat urine and mold. Whoever the woman working at 12pm is deserves to be terminated immediately and if you need a witness ask the sweet little girl who was trying tk help me before the lonely yeti came to tell me how miserable she was.

I did an early check in the day before through the app and chose the 1st because I was traveling with my toddler. I checked in through the app because I also love the digital key option. When I arrived at the hotel I was prompted to go ti the front desk to show my Identification. I went to the front desk and Achondria who was very sweet checked me into room 203. I informed her that I had selected room 108 in my pre check in through the app. She apologized and said that it was no more rooms on the first floor and some one was checked into that room. I wasn’t happy but I didn’t make a big deal. We got to the room and I pulled the sheets back and it looked like blood stains on my sheets. I called the front desk and Anchondris switched me to room 303 and it wasn’t any better. It was trash on the floor and in the dresser drawers, hair on my sheets, and stains on my towels. I was too tired to leave after driving for 7 hrs. The next morning I asked the young lady at the front desk for a manager. She stated that the assistant manager would be in in a couple of hours. I explained to her what happened and she stated that she would let the manager know. Before checking out, I asked for the manager again and its was 11:00 at this time and I had went by earlier around 9:00. The young lady said the manager still wasn’t in and she left my sheet on her desk with my contact. This was Tuesday when I checked out. I never got a call back from the manager. I called Hilton Honors on Friday because I gave the manager a fair chance to contact me to rectify the situation and spoke with Dora. Dora with Hilton Honors documented my complaint and put me hold and transferred me back the hotel in which Achondria answered the phone again. I explained to her again the issue and asked to speak to a manager and was told she had been out and should be in that evening. Today is June 15th and the manager still haven’t returned my call from Hampton Inn and neither have Hilton Honor rectified my issue. The hotel cleanliness is not up to part. I tried to avoid leaving a bad review but since no one would rectify my issue, the left me no choice. Here are the pictures below.

Extremely rude general manager. Could not answer simple questions about billing and jumped to accusations and pushing out. This person should not be in management if gets offended because she can't answer simple billing questions.

Can't comment on rooms or ammenities since upon arriving we were kicked out without even a hint of courtesy. This person, a manager, came out and without a single shred of customer care skills, commanded us to leave! No "Hello, we are sorry for the inconvenience but busses are not allowed in this parking lot" There was no "Excuse me but you might want to try parking your bus elswhere and then come back to check in" Nothing but an agressive demeanor and a command. We booked 11 rooms for a saturday night, through Expedia, even though we are Hilton Honors members but we needed to have team mates arrive at different times and sometimes Expedia is friendlier when handling different names. 11 Rooms. Do the math. And when I realized this person really did not care I said "fine, can we talk about a refund" and she said "you're not getting one" Like that, no explanation, no options, no nothing. Just snapping her fingers ordering us to leave. "Bus policy is on our website" is all she said. We did not book through their website, of course, but that doesn't matter. This person was not caring, informative, helpful or anything close to what a hospitality worker should be. Was it our fault that we were oblivious to this bus rule? You can certainly think so. But we stay in hotels three days a week, most of the year, we are a touring band that gives a lot of business to this and other hotel chains all through the USA and this had never, EVER happened to us. And whenever there has been a parking issue, we have been given options, we have recieved customer care.
This was something else and it is incredibly frustrating and humiliating.
