They are closing the store and advertising a sale. From what I looked at the "50% off" sale prices are still above normal retail price. I went in looking for a singer heavy duty sewing machine hoping it was on sale. It said it was but it was over $100 more than the $175-$200 I could get it elsewhere for not on sale. Wish the store would stay in business as it is sad to see all the brick and motor stores go away. But hate a fake sale.

Best place to get materials for my eternal flowers. Near my home and easy to get there, I love it. Employees are really nice and I love the environment.

I went into Joanne‘s today to buy some fabric and it’s clear to see why they are closing. There were many employees around the store, but only one at the register and only one cutting fabric, even though there were three employees standing around the fabric cutting table. They refused to open another register, even though the line was long And many people had several bolt of fabric to be cut in their cart. The employees were tired, rude, listless, and generally unhappy. It made for a very unpleasant shopping experience. I would say that their attitude was due to the fact that they would soon be losing their jobs, except for the fact that every time I have been in the same store for the last five years , my experience has been exactly the same. As the only real dedicated fabric store in town, the loss will be significant but good riddance to the bad customer service.

I really hate to complain, but I don't believe I've ever had a more painful experience with a hiring manager. The lady who manages this location has been extremely rude, dismissive, and uncommunacative. I have been patient and forgiving of her for several weeks during the hiring process, only for her to "lose my contact information." All of this, despite giving it to her in-person, having a scheduled interview, and her several claims that she would send me the necessary workplace documentation and schedule. I had to unfortunately contact HR on her behalf. I'm not entirely sure how comfortable I feel coming back to shop here. I have personally had positive experiences with the employees, though, as they have been incredibly kind and have provided wonderful service. I sincerely hope that current and future customers and prospective employees have a much better experience than I have had.

I make it a point to be super nice to people everywhere I go and my experience here tonight really threw me off. This Joann has been getting steadily worse in terms of customer service. I got up to the register where Carol was working and realized I had dropped a fabric ticket elsewhere in the store. She rolled her eyes at me and was like, "WELL GO LOOK FOR IT THEN I GUESS". I was extremely taken aback with how blatantly rude she was to me. I set all my stuff down, went to the cut table, and got my cut receipt again. I solved the issue, but she was so abrasive to me for absolutely no reason.
I've never been like......reverse Karen'd but I guess that's what happened to me tonight. Weird!

Do not order fabric online! I ordered 8 yards of the same fabric BEFORE THANKSGIVING it is now a few days before Christmas. I received 2 yds yesterday and am supposed to get 3 yds today and have received notification that another 2 yds is awaiting pickup from the carrier and one yard was cancelled. The service level has been atrocious, I was expecting to receive 8 yds of a single cut of fabric for a home decor project and I’m getting it piece by piece after an extremely long wait time as if Joann doesn’t want to give me my order and like it’s killing them to simply measure out 8 yds cut it and ship it to me. I will NEVER order ANYTHING ELSE EVER AGAIN from Joann!

I haven’t been greeted stepping into JoAnn Fabrics in some time. I am not sure if there is new management or if they are just understaffed, but the store is a wreck. Bolts where they’re not supposed to be, material hanging off of bolts, fleece blanket kits looks like they were thrown underneath the bolts of fleece, fat quarters all over the place and many not in any specific color order…. I know the Christmas season is soon upon us, but there were unopened and open boxes all over. I used to enjoy going into this store, but today may have been my last time. Take a look at HL, JoAnn, and notice their neatness and organization.

I am always greeted nicely when I walk into this Joann. They have a great selection of quality fabrics at very reasonable prices. I always buy my patterns here too. You can shop other stores in Athens but the quality of product is just not the same. The store is always clean, well stocked and well staffed. Additionally, the Joann app is a helpful resource for coupons and sales notifications.

I came in on my way home from the gym with my wife and two daughters to purchase fabrics and I presume because I'm not a fifty-something year old retired housewife, the old overweight manager who immediately met me with a disposition of utter pretentiousness and frowning disbelief along with her assistant kept leering around us as if we had scissors in our underwear, just waiting for an opportunity to steal their precious furs and linens in some dubious plot to wrongfully appropriate the materials priced about five times higher than what Joanne's website is advertising. What a gross attitude to intercept as a customer. I left and took my business to Hobby Lobby.
