“I’m 62, I’m not a drinker but I occasionally need alcohol for recipes I’m making, for out of town guests or for holidays (New Years Eve, 4th of July etc.) We have another liquor store very close but every time I have come here the staff is so helpful. The selection is top notch. Since the young folks who work here know I do a lot of baking and cooking with the alcohol they are always Johnny on the spot with a less expensive substitute that’s equally delicious. This is now our new go to. 💕”

“What a lovely store! The staff was delightful and warm when I visited. Since the shop is under new management, they have stocked all new lines of wines and more liquor. the staff also took note of my favorite whiskeys. They also have seasonal sales up to 30% off selected items. I recommend it to everyone. We will be returning for all of our wine and liquor needs!!”
“Not a bad little place to get unloaded, albeit a bit weird to figure out your first time here. At least for me it was both check in and get unloaded on the Southeast side of the building, where my blue dot is here! Take a left right where there where you see all the smaller trucks lined up, and keep going back. You'll see the delivery signs pointing you in the right direction around the other buildings and whatnot!
Based on the way things look I'm pretty sure they do not have overnight parking!
Staff was cool and professional, and they do have bathrooms for us inside by the way you just have to ask where they are!”
“Emily is great — a pleasure to deal with and super knowledgeable about wine. The secret sauce at Shiraz is their specialty groceries. Emily curates a selection every week of very high quality seafood meat vegetables and bread. The seafood especially is things you can’t get anywhere else in Athens. The groceries almost always sell out so get on the email list to get first crack.”

“Prices are great. Great selection. The layout approaches labyrinthine, possibly as a consequence of the prodigious selection. Good deals. Typically the staff employs a laissez-faire style approach, but is helpful when needed. Preferred when on that side of town.”

“I gonna say this about bypass package, if you are like me and you need a little cough tonic, this is the best place to go, man they have such a great selection of cough medicine,dude you stand there and look at the bottles long enough, you start to feel dizzy standing in the store. On a more serious note if you want to find a specific brand, you will find it there,if not you tell the folks behind the counter and I'll just bet the next time you go in, I'll bet it will be on the shelf. “Best people in the business. As I was parking to come inside I didnt put my car all the way into park. By the time I entered store Kevin and Hill ran out and tried to stop it but my dog was in the car and was trying to bite them so they physically stopped my car from the back as it was about to roll into gaines school rd. Could you imagine what could have happened if they weren't there?!! Forever grateful! Thank you so much Kevin and Hill!!!!! Ill never forget it!! Cork and bottle has always been my favorite packy they always make me feel like family.”

“Best liquor store on Eastside and cheapest. They have a smokeshop connected but same owners. They have everything and if they dont they will order it. I went one weekend to find skrewball peaunut butter whiskey and they didn't have it. I came back next weekend and they had it bc I asked for it. Decent prices too.”
