We got there and the staff tried to charge me again after I paid online. There were gross brown stains all over the sheets, when brought to the management they did nothing and didn't care. We also arrived at 8 to a pitch black parking lot with no lights.

Immediately on entering there is this "erie" feeling. A dimly lit lobby, exposed wiring and the floors creaked like a horror movie. There was an unexpected $75 deposit (smoking) that is not acknowledged anywhere except a piece of printed paper taped to the wall. The first room had a cigarette burn mark on the comforter and "mysterious" stains on the sheets.I didn't know that someone else's hair in the bed was included with the stay. There was also a leak under the sink in the bathroom. Staff were happy to provide another room where we were met with the smell of smoke, loose tobacco and a urine stain under the sheets. The stain went through the topper and the mattress itself. Upon leaving (5 mins later), I found that I had already been charged the full length of the stay. The clerk attempted to refund only one night not the two and the deposit that I was billed. I should have known better because there were no cars in the parking lot. No cars=no guests. I work as a registered nurse visiting the area. This experience completely eliminated this hotel from consideration in housing accommodations as a travel nurse new to this area.

Microtel inn on ultimate drive in AthensI suggest finding another place to stay .Room was average found empty small shampoo bottle in trash can. They advertise Breakfast but only thing they had was dry hard toast, bagel, muffin, cold coffee . At checkout the lady did not seem very knowledgeable or helpful and had to have someone else assist her in order for me to get receipt for my stay so that I can verify deposit was returned for room . I’m still waiting to verify that because she seemed unsure.

I was searching for a place to spend a few days of recovery from a car accident. I left Piedmont regional hospital with a broken left leg and a damaged right shoulder. I required a handicap accessible room. The room was adequate for someone experienced in being handicapped. However I found the bed extremely high as it was over my hips and I could not get in the bed. I found the commode kind of low and I couldn't get off the commode without being lifted. Unfortunately there are no medical devices available on site such as toilet seat spacers or leg props for the beds. It's not a handicapped recovery center after all. But after a couple days of rest I was able to roll my wheelchair right into the shower as promised. There is a built in shower seat in one room, and a shower chair in one room. After a couple of days of rest and relaxation and my ribs to stopped being nearly so painful I was able to use the facilities without issues. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. A special thank you to house keeping. I required some extra care and Alexander and Valentina were very gracious.I'd stay here again, and again!I can't thank them enough.Thank you, Amy.JB

I'm angry that I spent $180 on this room. Check-in was smooth, but the entire first floor REEKED of cannabis. I don't have anything against it, but my wife is allergic and I don't want my 9 y/o exposed to it either, especially because the rooms are non-smoking.If this had been the only issue it would have been kinda whatever, but it wasn't. At 2am or so we were woken up to someone POUNDING on our door! This woman came to our room for whatever reason, asking to come inside because she was locked out of her room, needed to call her husband, and couldn't find the manager. Like, that sucks, but we had been driving a U-Haul all day, and really needed a good night's sleep. I mentioned it to the front desk gal the next morning, and she apologized, but that certainly didn't fix all of us getting woken up.I will never stay at another Microtel again. The rooms don't justify the cost, and management doesn't seem to care about guest comfort or safety. Also, the floors were sticky and gross, like they don't change their mop water. It was all around a poor experience. My advice, stay somewhere else. Now we know why they were the only place with rooms available.

Only one towel in room 1st day - lightbulb was missing next to bed - 1/4 roll of toilet paper - for two days even though we made the staff aware of it - yelling in the hall all the first night no security.

Slummy Hotel. Weird noises in the middle of the night. AC too loud to sleep. Just terrible.

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. We were giving a room that had no volume on the TV, the telephone didn't work and on top of that we got locked inside the room with no way of getting out. We had to finally call the police to come help us. Long story short after 30 to 45 minutes, we exited through someone else's room and the front desk worker was found to have left the premises. Upon us leaving we were still in the parking lot packing up when he pulled off again. Be safe and Save your money . Never heard of people leaving hotels unattended. If I could have gave a zero for ratings I would have. Now I'm waiting patiently on our refund to be added back to our cardRooms: Pad lock jams and you may have a hard time getting the front desk.Safety: Hotel is left unattended after a certain time. Men who do not work there, walk around and hang near front entrance staring at customers. In case of an emergency you would need outside help.

Everything except the Front Desk staff was awful!!! Bathroom was not cleaned after last guest. No other room to give me, Ray the front desk person came in and cleaned the floor. Owners family cleans No cleaning people available. I wish I could have left 0 stars but it wouldn’t allow. All blinds are wrecked, from the outside looking at the building blinds & screens to windows tore up, don’t work. I travel for business and use CLC all other rooms were sold out through CLC. CLC should not use this location!!!!I haven’t stayed at a Hotel I did not feel safe in, in 30 years. I felt very comfortable and unsafe in this location!!!

We booked online for one night while we visited the campus. The check in clerk was on the phone the whole time, there were men just hanging out in the hallways with cigarettes (it’s a non-smoking hotel though) and one was just watching my daughter walk to our room. The 2nd floor smelled like cigarettes and weed. We had two rooms, the first one smelled like mold and the blinds were broken. The second one had stains on the bed sheets and the surfaces were sticky. The air even felt heavy and sticky. I sat on the bed and booked another hotel and quickly checked out of this one. Now I have to try to get my money back, I did not feel safe with my children and I didn’t want to stand there and discuss it with the front desk attendant that was still on a phone call.Rooms: They were dirty, sheets were stained, surfaces were sticky, air even felt grimy.Safety: Was with my 2 children and I did not feel safe due to the patrons that lingered the halls on both floors and outside of the hotel.

Dreadful. If I could rate 0 stars I would. There were random people sitting on the entrance steps smoking who did not move to allow us squeeze through. The reception person was indifferent. The room was not properly clean, floor was sticky. The fan in the bathroom did not work. The towels were thin and scratchy but clean. 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels for 3 adults, not enough! The bed sheets felt damp. On returning at around 10pm the doors were wide open, there was nobody on reception. Anybody could have walked into the hotel. We did not have breakfast, packaged food, nowhere to sit. The hotel was quiet but maybe this was due to not many people staying there. The location is good. But Wyndham you could do an awful lot better.Safety: We felt very uncomfortable due to the people hanging around at the entrance smoking who did not move when we tried to enter at check in. We felt very unsafe when returning at 10pm to wide open doors and no reception staff.

Never again. Stay was horrible.First the pros... nice pillows and comfortable bed. Now the cons... top of bed is counter height (36 inches off the floor) as you can see in photos, even in accessible rooms. My wife is disabled and slid off the bed onto the floor. I got her back in bed but spent the rest of the night sitting next to the bed making sure it didn't happen again. The shower didn't have a door or a curtain. Nasty black flies were in the shower. I must have killed a dozen of them. There is no closet and it took me a while to find the 4 inch peg sticking out of the wall next to the TV. Hanging clothes out in the open next to the TV is just not right. There are no drawers anywhere to store you clothes. They don't have an elevator for the second floor. They don't have a cart to move you luggage in from you car and no one to help you. Luckily I used my wife's wheelchair to move stuff. Also, there was a chirping from a smoke detector with a dead battery in the next room which beeped every 30 seconds all..night..long. There was no one on duty that could change a simple battery. And for all this I got the privilege of paying $277 for one night.

TL;dr, I was compensated fairly for a dirty, ultimately uncleaned shower during a two night stay. When I arrived in my room, I heard a low-battery smoke detector going off. When I told the front desk about it, it took about 2 hours to get it taken care of, and that only after I identified where it was coming from myself. Even then, it only stopped for a few hours; I woke up during the night and it was beeping again. When I went to take a shower in the morning there were dead bugs, hair, and an open bar of soap in the shower. I told the front desk about the bathroom and smoke alarm, the lady took a note and told me it would be taken care of by that evening and that I would get $11 (12%) off the cost of my stay for the previous night. When I returned at 7:00 p.m., the note was still at the front desk; the bathroom had not been cleaned and the smoke alarm was still beeping. There was no one at the front desk for 15 minutes, no bell and no way to leave a message. I went back around 7:40, and found someone who took care of the smoke alarm. Custodial had already gone home for the day. The smoke alarm beeping started going again some time during the night. I told the front desk the next morning about the bathroom and they took off the cost of one night's stay.
