Excellent experience buying a car for my youngest daughter. James Erickson was professional, courteous, and I truly appreciated the extra time he spent with our daughter reviewing the details and specs for the car. Truly the best car buying experience I have had in the last 35 years.

Purchased a car from Phil Hughes Honda a few years back. I was satisfied with the price at the time. I've no issues with the sales side.As for service, I've taken this car as needed and on occasion I've asked to have something specifically looked into (ex. - an odd noise) only to be met with a "diagnostic fee." This fee, seemingly for anything, is $150. Sometimes the service staff also notes the $150 will be deducted in the event that a repair is needed. Sometimes they don't mention this. However, my car is still under warranty and yet I'm still subject to these fees.Ultimately this puts car owners in a terrible position of paying upfront for repairs which may not even be necessary. Or taking a risk and just hoping the issue isn't significant. I understand that they are trying to make sure their service staff's time isn't wasted on potentially frivolous repairs but the barrier to entry this presents to customers is just insulting on top of their ever-increasing prices for normal services such as tire rotations, oil changes, etc.I've never been thrilled with their pricing of services but I admit I've had good results and no issues with two cars in their care over 15 years or so. However, I'm beginning to reconsider Phil Hughes for any service needs at all. The higher than average service costs, the over the top charges for OEM parts ($300 for battery!), and now placing a this barrier to entry to customers from getting possibly preventive repairs by instituting a "diagnostic fee" is simply disrespectful of customers.At what point did getting your car serviced became as bad, if not worse, than negotiating a car purchase? All I can say is, every time I'm in need of bi-annual service is, it "feels bad man."

Great experience! The staff was friendly and helpful! I was in for an oil change and to have my tires rotated. They said it would take about an hour, and it took about an hour! You don't get that at other dealerships! I will always return to Phil Hughes Honda in Athens!

There is a recall of Honda Civic Sport & my wife & I are going thru physical issues @ this time & could not get to Athens to fix things that were wrong in the service dept. We paid 3o grand for this car in March2023 & they now want us to just go away. There is zero humanity with Phil Hughes in Athens. & if I could just get our money back, because the are really not worth 1 red cent for their attitude & non caring. After you buy a car from Phil Hughes honda is when they show their true self.

This is an amazing dealership. No high pressure sales people and they treat you very fairly. The salesman who helped me - James, and the financial person - Shawn, were wonderful, patient, and went out of their way to make this a successful transaction. They stayed late to complete everything on a Saturday night! I came home with my new purchase feeling good about the deal we made - and I had researched a lot! I I left happy with the experience at Phil Hughes Honda and highly recommend it!

I have trusted Phil Hughes Honda to service my three Honda’s this past year. Rebekah is my advisor and she does a great job communicating with me and getting me convenient appointments. There was a time when a hose was damaged during service and not disclosed to me upon pickup. As soon as I brought it to the attention of the manager, he quickly ordered the part and it was repaired the next day. Awesome service department overall!

I chose this dealership because of their price transparency online. Gray was amazing through the entire process. The staff stayed late for me past closing time as I drove 5 hours one way to purchase my Honda Accord! Unlike other dealerships I visited, my test drive was thorough and Gray even taught me how to use all the features on the vehicle. I highly recommend this dealership - it was well worth the drive!

While looking for a new pilot we were told at Phil Hughes that all production of new pilots was stopped due to the auto strike. We soon found out that was not true and was a lie told to pressure us into making a decision. I do not appreciate being manipulated and I would not recommend this dealership.

I just recently purchased a 2024 Honda Civic Sport & Junior Hermida was awesome! I couldn’t decide which color I wanted & he was very patient. This was my first car purchase and he made the process so easy! I never felt pushed to buy my car neither. Thank you Junior & Phil Hughes Honda!

Fair price and excellent service. Kylie and Armando were a great help and expedited the paperwork. Darren put the bow on the process and made this an enjoyable process. This wasn’t the first car buy I have been engaged in during my 76 years on this earth but it was the easiest.

Had a great experience this past Monday with Joanna Cobb in the service department. She was kind, knowledgeable and very professional. We drove 2 hours to get something minor done to our CRV that we bought there and she had us in and out in about 15 minutes. Talked to her about some questions with the car, she answered them and was very knowledgeable. Been getting it serviced in Augusta, but we will take the drive and let Joanna take care of us from now on. Great experience!

To unexpectedly need to purchase a car, one of life's little surprises, for sure. But, Phil Hughes Honda made it amazingly easy to have a good experience! My salesman was Shad, he's very knowledgeable and friendly, no high pressure that can be typical of a lot of salespeople. He listens and gives honest opinions and recommendations! I highly recommend Phil Hughes Honda and ask for Shad!

I wanted to give a shout out to Shad. I contacted many dealers in our search for a new vehicle and he wasted no time giving me the information I needed. No games or anything. I appreciated the quickness of his replies and the transparency. We did not purchase a vehicle through this dealer but through no fault of their own! It was a 1-2 month wait on production and we decided to shop elsewhere. I would not hesitate to reach out to Shad again.

Service was amazing per usual!! Trent, Terrance and Matt are the best! Trent made sure my car was properly taken care of, Matt made sure I got a prompt ride to and from work and Terrance made sure my ride was safe and efficient!! These guys are the best!! Thanks for great service!
