They went above and beyond to help me durring one of the most difficult times in my life. I have breast cancer and my work car broke down. I need to work to pay for treatment and surgery. The longer I have to wait, the closer it is to spreading. I desperately need my car. It was at another dealership for a week and all they did was hook a computer up to it and told me it would be another couple weeks till they would look at it. I begged them for help and was told that I was welcome to take the car and leave. So I did. I took the car to Athens Ford and explained my whole situation. They said they would try to get to it as soon as the could. Everyone is backed up right now, so that's understandable. They did not disappoint. I got a call THE VERY NEXT DAY. The news was not good, but that's OK. It was an answer, and that's all I needed. The foks at Athens Ford made it possible to able to act now instead of having to wait weeks to get the same inevitable news. The parts my car needed was on backorder and would take 4 months to get (thats not their fault). I can't wait that long, so the decision was made to buy another car. We purchased a beautiful pre-owned Explorer from their sales department, and I'll be back to working next week. They made this the easiest proccess in the world, and I am eternally grateful for their kindness, understanding, and compassion. From the bottom of my heart to all the staff at Athens Ford, THANK YOU!!!

If you want to overpay for vehicles with markups, a subpar service department and a group of sales men who will do anything to get you to sign a deal with an interest rate equivalent to a credit card then this is the place for you.

Purchased a 2015 F150 from them about three years ago. Pressured me into getting a longer term loan that I wanted and the salesman kept on telling me that all I had to do to keep the powertrain warranty good was change my oil. This was my first major vehicle purchase so I didn't know any better. Two years later when the truck was having problems and I went in for service they told me my warranty was voided because I didn't flush the radiator. And this was only after weeks of me trying to get them to call me back or text you back and I had to go in person. Had an appointment up there for Wednesday at 7:20 for them to do a quick inspection I dropped it off 30 minutes early and called them about 10 o'clock to ask when it would be done. They said should be able to get to it in the next day or two my appointment was at 7:20 why sit appointment if you can't get to it when you say. Blake Christian which was the guy I was dealing with laughingly said you better rent you a vehicle and then refused to talk to me I had to go back up there in person just to see what I could work out. They are all super friendly but snakes underneath their skin

Buying a truck. Did the build and order online at Ford.com then found inventory at Athens Ford. Going to pick-up but noticed MSRPs were changed from Ford.com to Athens Ford.com for same vin. Beware.. Still not heard back from Athens Ford about how this could happen. Then of course they are wanting to add a $799 doc fee. Definitely too sleazy and they are giving car salesmen a bad name.

Looking for an F350 in a hurry. With COVID, and limitations on parts from China, they are in very short supply...Very difficult to find any inventory anywhere in the country. Found exactly what I was looking for, and told the salesperson I was dealing with I wanted it, sight unseen, and no negotiation at all. Filled out the paperwork he sent me, signed all of it, and supplied my credit card information for the deposit to ensure it was mine. Got his confirmation via text and email saying it was being held. This was on a Friday. I am in the middle of moving, and very clearly explained I could not get to them until Thursday (5 business days) because it's over two hours away from me. Called today (Tuesday) to see what I needed to bring (cashiers check, money order, etc), and was informed they sold it to someone yesterday. Of course I raised holy hell, and told the manager exactly how I felt, with a few expletives woven in. The Sales Manager I was speaking to then went on about how bad an employee the salesperson I was dealing with was. How he didn't follow instructions, and that he wouldn't be employed there for long. What's funny is he didn't even realize how unprofessional his behavior and statements were. Double fail. Awful experience, with the unfortunate continuation of the poor reputation car dealers and sales-people have. They should be embarrassed. After spending another 6 hours today looking, I found a similar truck in Dallas, and was able to reserve this truck and arrange shipping to my home for $600. Avoid Athens Ford and their awful practices.

Be sure you check your owner's manual and go by Ford's maintenance schedule listed in that instead of what they recommend. They recommend maintenance way earlier than it is needed (100k mi maintenance at 60k mi) with no reasonable explanation as to why other than they believe it's best for your vehicle.

***** Update******Management reached out to me and handled the situation very well. The manager and receptionist were great. They were very helpful and friendly. I received an alignment at no cost. The manager put me in a brand new loaner for the day. The only things that upset me this go around, is that the person whom drove/worked on my vehicle decided to change my controls (seats, ac was on full blast, radio was changed, etc) which I find to be very disrespectful (it's not your vehicle to be messing with. Also, my vehicle was left unlocked. I NEVER leave my vehicle unlocked. -Side note- it's 50 degrees outside so the ac is very unnecessary. *************************************Left a very long and detailed review which was taken down because it was a bad review. I didn't go against their "standards". Soooo here's a new 1 star review. DON'T go there! If you would like your vehicle to come back the way it went in... don't go! Went for an oil change to keep the warranty, they tampered with my alignment and tried to sell me EVERYTHING under the sun. They also wrecked the truck. The "valet" guy is the only good thing about that place! (Can't use his name). The guys at the counter are incompetent. They are crooked. Had to come back after my tire pressure sensor light went off. Half of my day that was wasted that I can never get back! Vehicle still doesn't drive right. Let's see if they take this one down too.

I came in with a high mileage truck that I was upside down on. They worked with me and got me a deal I was satisfied with. The staff was friendly and helpful. Only downfall is they ran my credit 4 times. Just get pre-approved before you go. The staff was excellent and very helpful and pleasant!

Good luck trying to get a hold of someone at this place. I've been trying forever. And forget trying to get a recall fixed! I had Ford corporate call them and they gave corporate s*** over the phone! This place will never have my business ever again. And forget buying a car from them, I was thinking about it before but not anymore. Good luck with your so called Ford presidential award lol

I have contacted this dealership twice about emails meant for someone else. I keep getting promises that it will be handled, here I am nearly a month from my first contact and the day after my second contact and I'm getting an email about a service appointment I didn't make. I don't even live in the state the dealership is in. If I ever have need to buy a car in Georgia I won't be going here...if they can't handle taking a single email off their mailing lists, it puts into question their record keeping practices.

Athens Ford has been an amazing dealership to deal with. My 2014 Lariat F250 diesel runs amazing and the buying experience was quick and easy. They were willing to work with us on the price and made the whole event an enjoyable one. Our company buys several trucks from them each year and we have no reason to look for another dealership. They have even recommended customers to our shop which we greatly appreciate. I have friends that fly in from Illinois, and Missouri to purchase trucks through Athens Ford on my recommendation and they've made me an honest man, keep up the great work!

We took our Explorer to Athens when our transmission started to fail out in rural Georgia. Their transmission techs were off until Monday so we left our car. (We live about an hour away near Atlanta) Carol, our service advisor, and the service department were great to work with. She was very considerate and responsive - returned our calls promptly, explained the issues we had well, and was respectful of the costs. They ended up rebuilding our transmission with new bands and replacing the bushings. We had our Explorer back for a couple weeks when something else went wrong with the transmission, and I heard a horrible 'thud'. My car was immobile - at 7:30 am on a Saturday. We had it towed to the Ford dealership near us. When we called Athens Ford that morning, Jeff and Chris on the service team were very helpful and made every effort to help us with this unlucky event. They ended up towing my car back to Athens and did the diagnosis and repairs there. The previous repair was covered under warranty. It turned out that their original work was fine and the hard clutch had gone bad. They did everything they could to make this experience as painless as possible for us. We didn't feel like we had to be on the defensive at all. Carol continued her first class customer service and handled everything for us. Athens Ford Service Department has shown us to be reliable and trustworthy. I can't say enough to show how positive this experience was.

I had an amazing experience at Athens Ford with Kevin Winters! I could not think of anything that could have made my experience better! They have a great team and I am absolutely in love with my ford fusion!
