Pretty good place and amenities are nice but really wish there was a sidewalk for the complex
I do not understand why there is not... (Edit: This last comment was rhetorical but it should be an implemented thing when there is a big use of a bus as well as having a rather extensive complex. It just adds up to have one)

I enjoy living here at the River Club. It feels like a home and I enjoy the feeling of the community.

Personally don’t like the locks. Maybe asking for our vote first. Other than that good stuff. Love the maintenance crew

abandon hope all ye who enter here. those are the only appropriate words i have to sum up how catastrophically bad living at river club is. i lived here for three years and i jumped for joy when i could move out. the apartments are so poorly maintained, the tvs are basically unusable, and apparently they make you pay for your own wifi now. not to mention: maintenance literally barges in like they’re doing an fbi search at like nine o’clock in the morning. they renovated my apartment and took way longer than they said they would and every morning they banged on the door and burst in with a team of like seven grown men before you even had the chance to unlock the door. the apartment was basically unusable for weeks while they renovated, they didn’t take rent off for it, and they did such a crap job that they kept having to come back to do it over again. the management team literally gaslights you and is super dismissive whenever you have a complaint. the wood beneath our sink rotted and stank for weeks, our ceiling collapsed in twice and then grew mold, and the entire place was infested with bugs. the fact that i paid THEM money to live here haunts me when the fact is: i wouldn’t let someone pay ME to live here. please spare yourself and live anywhere else.

I’m really disappointed about my past year living at River Club. River Club closed the gym, pool, and clubhouse for 4 to 5 months and had no real updates about when construction would be finished. They also took away our free community wifi right before a new lease started leaving residents with less than a month to purchase a personal wifi plan. The staff claims that since these amenities are not included in our rent price that we are not eligible for rent reductions and that they’re not to blame, however, if I would have known that I would be living here with inconsistent access to amenities, I would have chosen to live in one of the other hundreds of student apartments in Athens with amenities. I literally feel like I got scammed into living here. River Club is always under construction yet I feel like nothing has really
improved at all for residents. The apartments are also not nice. Upon moving in there were SO many nicks and dents in the walls and my bathtub was rusty (they solved the rusty bathtub issue by putting a sticker over the rust stains). The bathrooms are literally always moldy too, in every single bathroom there is a humidity problem and an overgrowth in black mold as a result. There is also a lot of roaches and a noise problem. I can't even count how many nights I was woken up by loud music or a car alarm going off in front of building 600. Additionally, staff barges in abnormally OFTEN to do random checks which was super annoying. The management staff doesn't seem to put their residents first, as you can see from this review. I really regret signing another lease with Riverclub after seeing how terrible my first year living with them was.
TLDR:
-management staff barges in often
-roaches
-Management closed all amenities for literally half of the lease
-mold in all bathrooms of the apartment
-apartment was NOT in good shape upon moving in
-took away the free community wifi after already signing a lease
-Apartments are always under construction
-The apartments have a noise problem

Unfortunately, recent events have lead me to write this review. Halfway into the lease this year, they randomly decided to renovate the clubhouse which made the pool and gym inaccessible. They gave us no reimbursement at all despite these being two of their main amenities bc it technically isn't part of our rent fee. I could get over this on it's own, but combined with the news today that they are now making us set up and pay for our own wifi which increases what I initially was budgeting for my rent cost, it's not good. Prior to this, we shared community wifi and that is part of the reason I chose to renew. Keep in mind, the gym is STILL closed 4 months later and the pool just opened up a few weeks ago. Last minute changes like this AFTER everyone signs a lease is odd, and how they deal with it by not offering us anything in return for the loss. They also renovated my apartment last year, mid-lease, and I had to live with people consistently being in and out of the apartment for a few weeks until it was done. We also had to completely clear out our kitchen for the renovations. None of this was made known to me before signing.
TLDR:
- Pool and gym closed for an extended time, no rent refunds
- Have to pay for own wifi now, after signed lease agreement
- Renovations mid lease that affect living spaces
PSA I do appreciate the maintenance, that'll be the one star they can get because the maintenance is usually very timely and kind.

Lived here a few years ago, place is filthy and the “maintenance” people walk into your apartment AND Unlock your bedroom!!!!!!!!! They will come unannounced even when there is nothing to fix. Youd think the place was spotless with how much they come in while your sleeping or naked or showering. Place looks and feels like it was built in the 1800s with all the roaches and rats. Holes in all furniture. Its disgusting. I paid 415 when i lived here. And now i know they charge more.

It is absolutely amazin to be living at River Club. The management service here at River Club apartments is absolutely stunning. They have amenities required – gym, tennis courts, pool, basketball court, etc. They have recently installed new furniture in all apartsments as well as renewd kitchen, bathrooms, and everything. They did not even raise prices after fixtures which is unheard of.

Rent was $650. Not worth it still. My room has lots of bugs and everything is broken. The tv you get is unusable. Our dishwasher has been replaced twice already. We had no hot water when we moved in. Everything is just pretty bad and nasty. If they actually cared to clean the place and fix things then it would be worth living here, but they don’t. There’s too much stuff broken to make maintenance requests to fix it all, and maintenance takes forever. They might argue with me or tell me they’ll be attentive, don’t believe it like I did and just live somewhere else ?

Compared to what I’ve seen from other peoples living spaces, Riverclub is one of the best. The price is great as well as the location, and it comes with your basic things that you need so you don’t need to worry about buying a bed, couch, or tv. The only problem we’ve run into is their communication over email, but the staff is honestly so nice and helpful now that we’re actually moved in!
