I want to share my experience and situation with hairstylist Jenna at Sorella. My mother has never been happy with her hair. No matter what place or person she went to it was never what she wanted. Since her panic attack she lost a good bit of her hair and the texture became really dry. You know women take one thing very seriously. It be nails, shoes, hair or skin for my mama it is her hair. Desperately trying to get it back to healthy and a color she loves. So for mothers day I decided to set up this appointment with all the confidence in the world. So excited and so was my mother. Conversation was great. Jenna is a sweet, lovely woman and I left a hour in trusting the process. First let me state my mama said brown hair with caramel baby highlights. We were confident our sample picture was that. Well apparently it wasn’t but werent told so. We were saying one thing, but the picture was another. We were never told this, but she asked for the pic to be sent to her so she could work off of it with colors and etc. This was a Friday. Sunday my mama came by and I asked her all of Saturday about her hair and she said it was better, but by Sunday she couldn’t hold it in anymore. She was completely shattered as her hair was the worse it’s ever been. When she walked through the door I could see her eyes glossing over wanting to cry. Her hair was NOTHING like the picture shown to Jenna. The colors were completely off. She had multiple shades then patches of blonde here and here. Her roots were still black(natural hair color). Not dyed properly and hair was extremely dry. I messaged Jenna immediately over it and politely asked for her to fix it or a refund. The first thing Jenna responds is “Can you explain to me what’s the issue”. NO apology. NO empathy for my mama’s hair. I also sent her photos of what we asked and how her hair ended up looking like. Told her we wanted brown with baby highlights and how it’s nothing like the pic. She tells me than and there what’s in the picture is balayages NOT highlights. She was working off what we asked. I don’t understand why we weren’t told this! We came in with a picture wanting THIS style, but wasn’t informed so why ask for a picture to be sent? BESIDES, the hair was NOTHING like highlights or close to it. We aren’t educated over dying hair, proper terms and all of the above. Miscommunication and not properly informed of this important information. I told her this and by than my mama decided to go somewhere else to get it dyed back a single color. I asked for a refund and was told I was only able to get 50% back and other 50 for her supplies. I paid 230 plus 15 so 245. My mother tipped her 20. I am highly disappointed about the fact I couldn’t get a full refund. For 5 hours of work my mother’s hair came out the worse it’s ever looked or been. I told her I will be leaving a review and she responds stating since I can’t refund the full amount you plan to “bash me”. NEVER did I state that and told her I have every right to leave a review of our experience. That I’m sorry she is taking this harshly, but so did my mother who cried about her hair and was SO embarrassed by it. She didn’t even want to go out in public or want to be seen. Ego is an ugly thing and when a mistake is done acknowledge it. This whole conversation we had she never acknowledged her mistake. She never apologized. She was more worried over a review then her highly unsatisfied, crying client. Both my mama and I agreed if she would have first responded with care, empathy, understanding and said she would fix it that next day we wouldn’t be leaving this review. I’m glad for her clients that get the good treatment and work. Sadly that was not my mother’s case and we both left disappointed. Really wish there was a way to post what she wanted and what she got. Won’t be coming back to this place.

WOW WOW WOW! So, I had my first appointment here, and sadly the stylist I was supposed to see had an emergency last minute. Sorella went above and beyond to still accommodate me, and Brett did an absolutely AMAZING job on my hair. I am extremely pleased with both the service and quality of the work. I will be a client for life!!!!

Used this salon once with Amanda H. Not impressed... I brought a picture of how I wanted my bangs done, but halfway through my appointment she said, "I'll make them a bit longer so you can tuck them." They were so long they weren't even bangs!! The bangs were at my chin! She spent the entire appointment pushing astronomically expensive products on me instead of ensuring that I was happy with the cut... I've seen her instagram posts of all the colors she does, but girl cannot cut hair. I was very annoyed that at the end of the appointment because she didn't even ask me about the products she was pushing, she just threw it on my bill in addition to the haircut. Never going back. Ridiculous costumer service with lack of talent or just a carelessness for the client's contentment. I know people say "you should've made her re-do the cut." But something told me she just didn't know how to cut bangs, so why take the chance of her butchering it? No thanks
