This is a nice complex, I really enjoy living here and I love my bedroom, the neighborhood seems peaceful and the only downside to this complex is that the city bus only comes on weekdays, not night or weekends.

I only lived here for around four months and i wish i just hadn’t. “Upgrades” were planned to be made in my townhome, against our pleas not to, because the upgrades weren’t even for us, but the tenants after us. (Why this couldn’t be done between tenants is beyond me.) After maintenance staff was irresponsible and broke multiple things in my home, including the water heater which flooded half the house, I told them they were not going to be doing any other renovations. I had to leave work to move my scared dog, and had to throw away his bed and a bunch of other items as they were now soaking wet and smelled like mildew. After telling this to the staff, they persisted, and every time they arrived and the deadbolt was locked, they continued to try to shoulder check the door in. This obviously scared me and my other female roommate, as we were the only ones that lived there and the staff then attempted to gaslight me into believing they were just seeing if the door was jammed or stuck, and that the ceiling concaving was because we turned the dehumidifier off the day they came to remove it. I have yet to receive compensation, but at this point I am too tired to even seek legal action anymore. I never want to step foot in this complex ever again. The property manager is unhelpful and i feel bad for the staff working under her. Do not live here, they are scammers and liars and are only ever out for your money.

This year some of the townhomes are being renovated. Riverclub has decided that despite the current tenants, they would start renovating with people living there without their permission. I have had my apartment entered countless times in the last month for an upgrade that is being done for future renters. Riverclub will enter your apartment without telling you (or even knocking), they will leave your apartment a mess, and they have no regard for their tenants. Do not live here.

I lived at River Club all four years of college and absolutely loved it! I didn’t have any roommates to start with so I was super nervous about living with random people, but the questionnaire when I moved in allowed them to place me with girls who are now my best friends! We spent so many weekends at the pool making friends with other people who lived there too. The office had events all the time so we were always getting free shirts and food, which is the fastest way to every college kid’s heart. Maintenance was always quick to fix any issues we had, and luckily bugs were never an issue for us. So thankful for River Club for helping make my college experience unforgettable in the best way!

I have lived at river club for 3 years, 2 at the townhomes and 1 at the apartments. My experience there has been great, it’s a great price point for what you get compared to other properties around Athens. It’s in a good central location you’re 10 minutes from campus, multiple restaurants, and grocery stores. They have always been very quick to help me resolve roommate issues as well as a few maintenance problems I’ve had during my time there. Overall I have thoroughly enjoyed living here, I wish I wasn’t leaving Athens next year so I could resign.

I lived at the apartments for 2 years and the townhomes for 2 years and enjoyed every second! The pool is awesome in the summer and if one is busy you have access to the other! I love the roomies I met and I loved having a gym available! Rachel, Madison B., and Madison F. were all always super helpful and sweet in the office! My apartment was clean when I moved in and it was great to have my own bathroom!! 5/5 experience!

Despite advertising being near campus the location of the townhomes is actually quite far. The units are supposedly deep cleaned prior to move ins but our unit was dirty, dusty, and musty with dead insects scattered everywhere, not to mention the alive ones that haunted us during our time there. Considering the state ours was in, we figured our move out inspection would be rather relaxed. In reality we were up-charged for a myriad of obscure reasons and complaints. Dealing with their offices is a nightmare!! Do yourself a favor and live somewhere else.

Only a 10 minute drive to campus, nice amenities and you have access to the river club apartments amenities as well! Free parking, cheap rent, and you get your own bathroom!

Do not live here. Theres always dead bugs along with cockroaches. And far from campus. Riverclub also fired their poc workers at townhomes despite seemingly leaving riverclub apartments workers untouched ??????

Would have loved to renew my lease here for 2022, but corporate decided to raise rent by over 14% even though nothing has changed in terms of the property and its amenities. Nice to know that living here for two years and never being late on rent means nothing to higher ups at this company.Local management and maintenance, specifically Lincy and Robert, are lovely and fantastic though. 5 stars for them and everyone else working locally.Amenities are nice, but not worth the change of price hike.

Our experience at River Club so far has been extremely problematic. We are currently dealing with bed bugs and other bugs as well. At first, I thought it was possible someone else brought them in. But after reading other reviews with similar issues, I'm sure river club just has a bug problem and the adequate measures required to take care of this are not taken. Additionally, when we first moved in, our unit was not properly cleaned until we requested it to be cleaned later. You can find the details on the other reviews lol

Townhomes were not properly cleaned at all upon move in. Dead bugs in every corner, ran into 6 cobwebs and had to vacuum the walls, hair all over the shower and human hair in the drawers of the bathrooms. Roommates had similar issues in their rooms and living spaces. Upon calling the next morning, the 2nd day of move in, the receptionist told me that they only have cleaning people for the 1st day of move in and now they won't be there again indefinitely. Told me "if you have concerns, please email pictures to our manager so that she can decide if we need to call the cleaning people again".On each door, it says "scion professionally sanitized". No sanitizing whatsoever occurred. Riverclub blew this move in process harder than Ben Simmons blew the 2021 playoff series against the Hawks. Even more shocking with the delta variant that they would care so little about cleanliness upon move in.Extremely disappointed--don't live here if you are worried about germs, bugs, or proper maintenance.Submitted maintenance requests for all the cleaning issues--they simply marked them as "completed" without anyone completing anything.EDIT: If you're looking at the comment left below by management, it's pretty obvious that riverclub doesn't listen. They "completed maintenance requests" were requests that never got completed, but their crew falsely said they did. I even called them and told them that the requests were being "completed" without anyone actually completing them.

I lived at River Club this year and I had a pretty good experience. It wasn’t the nicest place ever, but for the money it’s definitely better than other townhome complexes in Athens. The work orders were always completed pretty quickly and the management was nice. However, when I moved out, I forgot to remove a few plastic bowls that my roommate put in a cabinet, so they charged me 25 dollars for trash removal. I would completely understand getting charged for trash removal if I had left trash laying around the house or left anything that actually took time and effort to clean up, but it would’ve taken almost no time to remove few plastic bowls from the cabinet. It seems unfair that they would charge me $25 for that. If they had called, I would’ve gladly driven over there and taken the bowls out myself. It is clear they will charge you for every little thing that they can.

I have had such a wonderful experience here this year. Great housing at an affordable price, great community, and great customer service. Also, I have had numerous experiences with Jahi from the leasing office that were always exceptional. I have felt welcomed since I first came and anytime I need something the staff goes out of there way to make me feel understood and valued. I highly suggest considering The Townhomes at River Club!

Overall I have enjoyed my time as a resident at the Townhomes at River Club but the quarterly inspections are intrusive and unnecessary.
