Can we have some professionalism in AE. I was shopping in AE and I was waiting by the fitting room as I was waiting for a fitting room the store manager Clifton made eye contact with me and multiple people waiting at the fitting rooms and walks past all of us to call another associate to come let us into the fitting rooms when that associate was visibly busy. I thought it was very rude and disrespectful and he shouldn’t be working there if he’s going to treat the customers and his associates that way. This AE is a place of class and he’s made it classless ! Those poor employees! FIX THIS NOW !

Employees too busy talking and did not remove my sensor. I didn’t realize until it was time to get dressed which caused me to be late to my event.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. I bought a pair of jeans last week and when I tried them on at home they ripped, leaving a huge hole. They were clearly defective and I brought them back to exchange them. Someone who claimed to be the manager told me she could not accept the return because they were not suitable for the sales floor. I explained that they were defective, so of course they could not be sold again, but it isn't my fault the pair of $70 jeans were defective. She said she couldn't do anything and that I had to call customer service to get my money back. I did call, and the representative explained that the store can absolutely accept a return for a defective pair of jeans, and the only way for me to get a refund was from a store since I didn't order them online. I don't know why the manager lied to me in the first place. I ended up having to drive to another location to exchange the pants. So disappointed in the company for hiring people like that. If I could give less than 1 star I would. I don't think I will ever shop with them again.

This store has the worst customer service! I purchased some jeans on the sale rack on Friday December 10, 2021. The jeans didn’t have a tag so the associate had to look up the sku number to proceed with the purchase. Everything went just fine. Few days later I tried on my jeans at home to see if they looked okay with my shirt and shoes and realized the jeans still had a security tag on them. I went to American Eagle on Sunday the 12th with my receipt to get the security tag removed. When I got there an associate went to match my jeans with another and said my receipt didn’t match. I explained to her they had to lookup the sku number because of a missing tag. Of course the associate didn’t check and was very rude. She just continue to say they didn’t match and rudely gave me back my merchandise. Her attitude was very nasty and she treated me like I stole the merchandise when I just purchased them Friday. None of the associates who helped checked me out on Friday was in the store Sunday. So it was my word against hers I guess. I leave the store and then return to ask for the manager. She claim she was the manger but wouldn’t give me a her name. When I asked another associate who was the manager she seem confused the first 3x I asked and then proceeded to say the rude lady was the manger but wouldn’t give a name. She then threaten to call security on me. I went outside to call corporate to explain what just happen. I emailed them my receipt to their customer care email and of course everything checked out. This is something the associate could had easily done. Well corporate only offer for me to mail in my jeans to remove the security tag and I refused because my plan was to wear the jeans that night to an event. That’s why I went in the store early afternoon. Corporate didn’t even try to get the associate to remove my security tag and that’s the actual store I purchased from. I will never shop at American eagle again. The associates treat customers like thieves and corporate didn’t try to help satisfy the customer!

I'm not a fan of malls, but today was especially weird. Eerie vibe walking into mall at 11 on a Saturday and seeing that stores open later and close earlier and so many signs for "closing early due to staffing issues." Sign of the times. I went to American Eagle today to return an item I'd ordered via mail. The store was scheduled to open at 11. Stores around them opened, but doors remained locked. An employee arrived at 11, was let into store by another employee and they locked doors again. Multiple customers were waiting outside for them to open, all expressing confusion. They eventually open door with no welcome, no "so sorry for the delay." Both employees go behind counter. I stand at counter for a couple of minutes while both see me, neither acknowledged me. Eventually, one employee holds out her hand for my item to do the return. Again, no words. No, "Hi, how can I help you?" Employees were both non-communicative and unfriendly. Unprofessional. Perhaps stores must take any help they can get right now and it shows. Kind of depressing. I gave 2 stars because I was at least able to successfully return my item with no hassle...other than going to a mall in general. Thumbs down.?

I just left the American Eagles store inside of Cumberland mall and had one of thee best customer service experience!! Quinn was unbelievably helpful and very friendly. I’ve been experiencing a lot of bad customer service lately and wanted to acknowledge such a great employee! Thank you Quinn for helping me with my mom jeans.

The online shopping experience was great, however I was rather disappointed with the way my order was processed. However, when I spoke with customer service the representative was very kind and courteous. She also provided me with a coupon for my next purchase. I was satisfied with my purchase the quality of the jeans was great, the pricing was great. I will shop again.#AEReviewSweepsEntry

1) never tell a Customer you can't help them2) never tell a customer that your manager can't help them either w/o even asking your manager3) never tell a customer it's not your problem b/c it wasn't your mistake (you are one-in-the same AE & not separately owned)4) evidently ok to argue w/ a customer in front of your manager5) never argue with a Customer when they are giving you good advise you did not heed to, aka, never tell me you can't help me when it is your problem and I just proved you wrong!6) never give this kind of person freedom with your customers... won't ever shop there again. Not good business when your CLERKS think they are smart but actually they aren't and act like know-it-alls when they are obviously not.. evidently they have bot been trained on Customer Service!7) never hire a know-it-all that is terrible w/ Customers nor allow them to work w/ Customers till trained properly...I hate to shop and you just gave me 7 other reasons to hate it and stick to online shopping!!!!Go A&E!!!
