*AutoZone Brookhaven: Helpful Staff, Frustrating Experience*‼️
I'm giving AutoZone in Brookhaven 3 stars, and I'll explain why. While I appreciate the convenience of their late hours, my recent experience was marred by a frustrating exchange with the manager.
I visited the store at 9:00 p.m., just before their 10:00 p.m. closing time. I purchased an item, but ended up not needing it and returned to the store at 9:51 p.m. to return it.
Although the manager had already locked up, he kindly reopened the door and allowed me to return the item. I appreciate his willingness to help, even though I was technically trying to make a return just minutes before closing.
However, I do want to acknowledge that the manager wasn't thrilled about reopening the store, and we had a brief, spirited conversation about it. While I understand his frustration, I appreciate that he ultimately put the customer first and accommodated my return.
As someone who has worked in retail, I understand the importance of getting home to family and the desire to close on time. But I also believe that customer service is about being flexible and helpful, even in challenging situations.
Overall, I'm grateful for the manager's help and willingness to accommodate my return. While I appreciate the effort, the interaction was somewhat soured by our disagreement over the store's closing time. Despite this, I would still recommend AutoZone in Brookhaven for their convenient hours and helpful staff. However, I hope that in the future, they can find a way to balance customer needs with their closing procedures. Hence, the 3-star review.

I came to purchase windshield wipers and the service rep automatically said we don't install them. I'm confused as to when this change occurred. Because of his abrassiveness, I no longer wanted to purchase the product. It waz raining like crazy outside but I rather take my business elsewhere. I only stopped at this location because it was close to my dentist. I will purchase my product in Gwinnett

Filed a BBB Compliant towards the company and this location. Incompetent rude staff, just careless, wrong battery was installed on my vehicle, went through literal hell as they would not take accountability, thousands dollars later with tows/mechanic fees just to find out the wrong size battery was installed, in there eyes it doesn’t matter, when it did and was the root to why my car would not start. The last installation the terminals were completely loose, I had to buy a screw to tighten it. Literally no knowledgeability on what they’re literally selling, no step actions, no structure just put it in and go lol smh.
I should have known as I went to purchase a portable jumper box and took the EMPTY display box to the cash register, they rung me up and I paid and handed me the empty display box and my receipt lol I concerned, told him “you know it’s empty” he had to ask someone what he has to do, they instructed him to get it in the back. He comes back out to me to tell me it’s not in stock. And I would have to wait 3 to 7 business days for a refund. No apology no nothing. I had to contain my anger and go next door o’reily to get my item. It’s actually concerning how unknowledgeable they are.

The car was suddenly warned that it needed to add oil and searched for the nearest Autozone nearby. The store is very clean, and the salesperson is very friendly and skilled. Thank you for helping my shop assistant.

I purchased a new car battery from here about 15 months ago and started having some issues with my car shorting out when trying to start it so I swung by and Eric was so very helpful. He came out, tested a few things on my car, and then realized what was causing the short, helped me purchase the new piece and installed it right on the spot for me. He was efficient, friendly, and super helpful. I will be back. Thank you Eric!
