As always, I was 10- star happy with my haircut with Jenny (have been a client for over 15 years) and partial highlights with Naomi, who did my color for the first time. Naomi and her assistant Coco were very professional, friendly and kind! My color turned out perfectly! The vibe is upscale but not intimidating or snobby - just comfortably concierge level treatment is what you can expect. All my experiences over the years at Van Michael in Sandy Springs have been the BEST! I can also recommend Laura for brows and makeup - she really knows how to maximize what I have to work with (very sparse brows with post surgical scars from skin cancer -use sun protection!). I can't say enough about how consistently each and every staff member has provided caring, professional and skilled service for the many years I have been a client.

Got my hair done by Avery. She was so sweet, very welcoming, and did a fantastic job. She gave me exactly what I wanted and taught me about my hair while she did it. Will definitely visit again.

DON'T BE FOOLED!!! I had been a Client of Van Michael Salon, until I found out many unethical things went on. Not to mention, you think you're getting color that actually last...well don't be fooled again, this business intentionally does not provide Color Services that last...The Horrible Lights makes your hair appear so unrealistic and not truly what it will appear in all light, daylight evening etc. Let me add, how the lack of cleanliness lacks at Van and Michael's Salon. Dirty Brushes, combs and the Sterilization is quite unsanitary. I have experienced this many times. What is so sad is, it's let's see how many heads we can do , because this place of business is all about money. Many unprofessional things go on at this place of business. Including lies and accusations. For example if you have a beautiful head of hair, which takes lot's of TLC, Van & Michael employees are trained and or (it takes too long) I might add if you have a redo or want glaze, they will create a fuss

I have been going to Van Michael's in Sandy Springs for 5 years. Today for the 4th time in a year my color appointment was cancelled. We all know how difficult it is to get a hair appointment in December. A message was left telling me my colorist, who does an Amazing job on my color, had to cancel my appointment. I HAD MADE THE APPOINTMENT TWO MONTHS IN ADVANCE. There was no attempt made to ask or suggest another colorist. I AM DONE WITH VAN MICHAELS. I called a manager I think her name was Sarah, told her what was going on and she could have cared less. I said why was I not offered another appointment? Her response we dont have any today, but still did not say let me see what I can do to get u in this week. Did not offer any kind of compensation, you have to pay for your services she said when I asked about some kind of compensation for having my service cancelled yet again. I will NEVER return to Van Michael's at any location they don't care about their clients . Van Michael's has lost a client of 5 years. SO DISAPPOINTING. UPDATE: I have heard nothing from Van Michael's no comment no call no follow up. That says it all. They do not care about their customers. I found a new salon check out @cherryblossomsalon Kristen is amazing!! See ya Van Michael's

I love seeing DJ for haircuts. Whether I'm trying to grow it out or want something new he always does a great job. The customer service here has always been great as well.

DON'T MISS ! I moved from Manhattan , so I was "spoiled " by top work there. And I had my hair styled and colored in London, for years, so when I moved to Atlanta, I panicked, until I found Van Michaels in Sandy Springs where I discovered hair stylist, Jamison and colorists Sadie! Both are exceptional . My husband also has his hair cut by Jamison - upscale, and hip. I have never had better hair color . Jamison & Sadie are dynamos. Other hair cuts are yawners, compared to Jamison's work, and other hair colorists don't leave my hair looking "A-List". Both Jamison and Sadie are down to earth, true professionals. Oh. Henson also a colorist who's work I recommend must be mentioned. In addition, the management at this wonderful salon is top notch.

I made an appointment for keratin at 3:00. I arrived 20 minutes early because i had never been and wanted to get the feel for the salon. I was checked in, temp checked and told to sit and wait. There were as many as 15 people in the front of salon where i was waiting between stylists, customers at any one time. My stylist finally appeared at 3:40. He was 40 minutes late, No apology or explanation given. I was expecting a keratin product and service commensurate with the $300.00 price, $200.00 of which was pre paid at the time i booked the service. I was totally disappointed by both the product and the service. I have been getting keratin for 10 years and never paid more than $200.00 but was willing to go to a superior salon and pay for a superior product. I left the salon at 6:00 after being there 3 hrs and 20 minutes with dull, dry, sticky hair. My stylist was nice but did a terrible job from start to finish.

Today was my first time at the Sandy Springs location. I can accept the 4.5 hours of waiting for my daughter's hair (had to redo bc first stylist didn't use enough foils). I can accept that my daughter left with her hair wet because we couldn't wait the 5th hour to finish the treatment which we paid for. I can even accept the $600 spent today for our 2 treatments. However, I cannot accept that there was no "I'm sorry" or any sign of concern for customer satisfaction. When a manager responds "I am aware " it shows me that they do not value our business.

Blunt cut bob by Gwendolyn. Awesome cut yesterday, and was accomplished with my face half covered by a mask. She took the time to finish the edges, which most stylists in my experience don't do these days. Super important if you wear your hair straight. Highly recommend!

Great first experience! I was very impressed with their covid precautions when many other businesses fail to acknowledgment pandemic safety. 1. Mask required 2. Sign waiver with sanitized pencil 3. Wait while social distancing 4. Hand sanitizer available 5. Divider panels between each client 6. Salon was not scheduled to be packed I did feel safe and appreciated all their efforts! Gwendolyn was my stylist. She listened and cut my layers accordingly. She did use razor upon request for texture. Not sure why other stylists can feel uncomfortable about that. Friendly and professional. I recommend! Thanks!

Best haircut I've had in years by Jamison. I highly recommend this salon! They were also very safety conscious during these strange times, which was reassuring.
