In Georgia visiting from California. Made a reservation for a small/mid-sized car. Entered my license and credit card info to make checking out easier. I paid for an Uber to take me to the rental car location at Cumberland Mall. Upon arriving I was told they had NO cars available for rent. How/why was I allowed to make a reservation for a location that has no cars. What was even more upsetting was the total lack of empathy from the employees. There was no apology for my inconvenience or any attempt to rectify the situation by offering to call another location or anything. I now understand why it has such a low customer satisfaction rating. I ended up going over to Enterprise where they were able to promptly confirm a same day reservation and got me into a car. They even upgraded my compact car to a luxury for a $10 upgrade fee. Enterprise saved the day.

I should have stuck to what I know. This was horrible. The truck was dirty when I picked it up so I had to get it cleaned. Strike 1. Drove to New Orleans with no issues. While there it started raining and I discovered there was no windshield wiper on the drivers side. I had to spend even more money to get around the city since I couldn’t drive. Strike 2! I was getting back in the road early Monday morning and it was misting and then started raining so I spent most of the day on the side of I-10 trying to get out of Louisiana and they want to charge me to extend the rental even though this is their issue. Strike 3!

Came to pick up rental which I had a confirmation for and was told they had no cars. I was dropped off so had to call and pay for Uber. Was told by customer service that I would receive a refund for the Uber ride and completed necessary steps. It is now 27 business days later, 9 phone calls and no refund. Without question the WORST customer service ever received. You would think I was asking for thousands of dollars, not $20.I suggest you look elsewhere when needing a rental.

This location is terrible and the behind the counter guy is a liar and I believe if you’re not dressed the part he will refuse or find any way not to rent to you and I’m a preferred member. He was very rude and told me YOU people all expect yall owed something. I ask him what the mean. He said the customer. I mean that’s what runs a business the customer. We know what he really meant !!!!!! Complete Failure over all in this company

I called them to drop off a rental and they tried to charge me so I went to Peachtree industrial instead and dropped off for free if your looking for a car from avis check them out

Absolutely the WORST rental place ever!! Please remember the name Isaac Hernandez. Heavy set Hispanic gentleman who was extremely rude to me today. I was a few days late picking up my rental car and he told me in a very rude fashion that no cars were available. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience he literally laughed in my face and told me I was crazy to think that he would keep my car for 5 days. I have never experienced this level of disrespect in my life. The way he acted was childish and utterly unprofessional. I will make a formal complaint to corporate because this type of people which rude manners do not belong in customer service. You should be ashamed of yourself Isaac Hernandez.

As many have noted in other reviews, customer service is absolutely lacking at this location, and should be investigated by the parent company. This franchise is poorly run, I have been a Preferred Plus member for over 10 years with Avis, and I have never experienced service this bad.They close at 2 PM on a Sunday, which is horribly inconvenient. They cancel your reservation a couple of hours before you’re due to pick it up because “We don’t have any cars”. I’m not entirely sure what that means when your business is…renting reserved cars. Wow.And as another review pointed out, the cars are never full of gas when you get them

Made a reservation online. This was the only location in the area that said it had cars. When I got there after a $70 Uber ride one way they said they were out. They need to ensure the inventory is up to date if they are going to accept online reservations.

Every time I go to this location there is an issue. The first time they gave me a HUGE suv when I reserved a sedan. The suv I was given wasn’t clean but I had to get on the road!! I ended up cleaning myself. And even though I returned the vehicle well before the appointed time they charged me 3 additional days. Once I called AVIS customer service they fixed the issue. They never took the time to look outside and realize the vehicle was returned. I decided to give them another chance since they were in my area. There was no one there to greet me during regular business hours so I just stood around and when they finally did it was an issue. They tried everything NOT to give me a vehicle. The light skinned man with glasses was very stand offish and didn’t offer any kind of solutions you could tell he didn’t want to help or even be there. I just took an UBER to another location. I only book with AVIS because they make it easy.. but this location needs to be reported. I am disappointed because customer service over the phone provides good service just the people that work here don’t want to be here and it shows. They have a lot of cars on the lot but won’t let you pick any because “they all need serviced” please go elsewhere for a piece of mind.

Issac was helpful in finding a car for my rental reservation and communicated well about reservation and car status.I had a Saturday morning reservation and store did not have any cars available. Issac called me let me know not to head to the store yet and communicated when car came available. I had enough time on hand so this delay did not cause a big problem.

Hands down best car rental place around! My Numero uno go to!! Great people! Great service! ?? I'm down for life!! Funny enough my own mom worked for them like 30 years ago in Texas. Guess it was fate at first employment! They've got a loyal customer right here! ???

Too many problems no solutionI have rented a car on September 3rd,My bill for three days is 190 dollars but they charged on my card 300 dollars. When I am returning the car they haven’t returned the rest of the money.No response from customer care and also at office.When I recieved a car they said the gas is full but it has only 325 miles of gas available. When I refilled back it has 440 miles of capacity.When I asked there is no response at all.I had taken every screen short available and video recordings available.This is really a bad experience.Car is not cleaned.They allowed me only to check outside without giving me keys.Very irresponsible this is my first service WITH AVIS NEVER TRY THIS AGAIN.

I’ve had to rent/pickup here twice. Both times have been poor experiences. First, note that the mall doesn’t open until we’ll after this location does. This location is inside the mall. I’ve stood outside waiting and calling for 30 minutes the first time and 20 minutes the second time. No one answered the phone either time and it goes to the national line to pickup and they just tell you to call the local number. Both times I was able to get in when staff from the mall came or left the building. In my second rental, my car wasn’t ready and needed to be cleaned. That took another 20 minutes. Maybe service is better later in the day, but it should be consistent during all of their hours. I rent with Avis 1-2 times a month. If you rent Avis, rent and pickup elsewhere.
