Shout out to one of the best customer service rep CULS has, Gordon! He took his time to help me navigate through the website and to set up my payments after unfortnate events happenedwith my debit card, he was so kind that he took my payment by phone and waive the fee because he understood what happened with my card and so I wouldn't feel so frazzled. Very knowledgeable of what I had to do and where I had to go on the portal. Thank you again Gordon, many blessings to you always.

They created a brand new website for their customers to make payments, a couple of months ago (I think). It was much more professionally organized. So, I thought; maybe there's no more problems with CULS. Just this month, they've taken the entire site down with no redirects given to their customers; so customers just have to hope the mail-in payments make it, to where they are supposed to go. Why do have my doubts about that? There is no way to make a payment. These people are hustlers of some kind. The kind that wouldn't have existed just 30 years ago. They always had the feeling of being funny to me. VERIFIED

This is literally thee worst way to finance your vehicle. They charge you a $7.50 service fee to pay online, on a website that I swear intentionally makes it hard to pay and won't load, or says your internet connection is bad, and so on, just so they can try and collect late fees. If you pay on the phone they charge you $9. I like to pay on my vehicle twice per month to pay down the principle and they make it impossible. I would never finance another vehicle with them if I knew that's who the dealership used, and I will be refinancing as soon as possible. I'm dreading the nightmare that trying to get them to give me the information I need to refinance will be.

worst loan ever! 1st payment ACH by check and got charged $5.00 and I didn't realize it until I confirmed! They won't get my business, paying loan off my loan next month!

Long story short I did not choose this lender and was not aware of the lender choice until after all was done. Okay it's done I will give CULS a try. They charge fees for every type of payment except direct out of your bank account. Red flag #1. They did not offer any advance payment for a quicker payoff. Red flag #2. A couple of payments in I moved my due date, which was approved, and made sure my direct payment was set for the 20th. The payment came out early and I was not expecting it so there weren't enough funds. My bank paid it and I was charged a fee. Red flag #3. I call customer service and they confirmed the 20th as the payment date and apologized for the early withdrawal. I asked that they reimburse me the bank fee and I will not dispute it. Nope, can't do that. I have to dispute it and they might take it out on the 20th. Otherwise I will have to call on the 20th and have them take out the payment and charge me a fee for a phone payment. See where this is leading... screw over the customer (which is where they get the money) and laugh all the way to the bank. I would not recommend this company to any person. I will be looking for a better solution.

Beware: You can not make a loan payment online without being charged a $7.50 service fee. You can not make a payment by phone without being charged a $9 service fee. The only way to make a payment without being charged a ridiculous fee is to pay via snail-mail. With every other loan I've ever had, I always round up the payment & have the difference allocated towards principal only. You can't even do that with CULS. If you want to pay extra towards the principal, you must snail-mail an additional check to a completely different address in a different town. It seems as though they make this super inconvenient for customers so that we are less likely to pay loans off sooner than maturity dates. Which almost seems unethical. Their interest rate for an auto loan was low. However, I would've paid a higher interest rate for convenience, had I known then what I know now.

They charge on the loan so that the pay off amount does not go down if you want to pay off the vehicle. In other words, you pay a year or two and still owe the total at purchase. They make it next to impossible to get in touch too. I will set up my own loan next time, and I will also not purchase the Honda dealership in Salisbury, NC, because they set this up, and I had the cash to buy the car when I bought it.

I've seen tons of bad reviews on CULS - this won't be one of them. I bought my Jeep used in 2014.and I was upside down on my trade - CULS financed my entire loan - did it for 7 years and I have zero complaints - they waived late fees when I made mistakes. Understood that I had issues when I was deployed. They were always 100 percent professional and customer focused. I wish I could use them everytime I buy a vehicle. They are that good, I make my last payment on Monday :) thank you CULS for everything you did for me.

This company charges a $7.50 added service fee EVERY MONTH for absolutely nothing! In other words, when I pay them electronically, with NO ASSISTANCE from a representative, I pay whopping $7.50 extra as an added service fee to my normal payment with interest. No other company charges anything close to that amount as a fee to pay them electronically. I dont know how this is even legal. If you have a choice, NEVER choose this company as your car loan servicer.

Refinance your loan immediately. They make it hard to pay on principal, they charge $7.50 to make a payment, they don't apply payment to loan till due date, this causes racking up interest charges. This all should be illegal. Im going to refinance my vehicle Monday morning.

I agree with all the bad reviews. Just bought a very expensive new car and the dealer got the best rate for us with CULS. Said they were good company. Well, this is the most aggravating loan company I've ever dealt with and I have financed many new cars over the last 30 years. They don't send you a payment booklet, so you can't send in payments easily on your own timeline. You wait for them to send you your bill, which they seemingly wait until the last day permitted by law (assuming there is a law) to mail you out your monthly statement/bill. If you don't write a check and mail that back the next day, you're going to be late on your payment. You have to sit and watch the mail like a hawk to get that bill and turn it around next day. Then they take forever to process it and post to your account. Their website is terrible, it looks like it was designed by a six year old kid. The service fee for payments is ridiculous at $7.50 to do it online or I think $9.00 over the phone. I am guessing they delay mailing your bill so that people end up getting payments in LATE, so they can hit you with a late fee. Also, the later your payment posts, the more of your interest charges you end up paying. The quicker you can pay and have it post each month,it reduces the amount of interest. NEVER NEVER use this company unless you don't care about timely payments or good service. If there was a way to refinance to another company I'd do it just to be rid of their joke of a business. Next time I'm at the dealership I bought my car from, I'm going to tell their finance guy and I hope he will never recommend them to anyone else again.

Credit Union Loan Source - want to make a payment over the phone...$9 service fee. Want to make an electronic payment on their website...$7.50 service fee. Any payment, this company uses ridiculous high fees to pay a bill. And they are extremely slow to process payments. Their website is not user friendly whatsoever. This is 2021, you cannot access and see your payment history as a ledger so as a customer you have no idea of the payments you've made. They are setup for failure with extremely poor customer service. I refinanced with another lender just to avoid their non-service and got a 3.25% lower rate as well. I will never use Credit Union Loan Source again nor recommend them to anyone.
