Worlds worst bank. Customer service is completely useless. No answers about my money since December. No response after sending a letter.

E*Trade commonly restricts account with no notice, alleging "unusual activity," and then places hurdle after hurdle in your way to get access back to your account and your money. Horrible customer service -- wait times of 1 hour or more very common. No email or chat customer service, and one main phone number for all callers. Search "ETrade complaints BBB" in a search engine, and you will get a sampling. Atlanta branch office representative provided some glimmer of hope, but not enough to offset the horrible telephone customer service. Run far, run fast, away from E*Trade.

Etrade cancelled my account that I had with them for 20 years. Worst they wont tell me why, and they wont release my money to transfer to another brokerage house. Call there acct activation line and wait at least 2 hours on hold even in the middle of the night. Never had a problem before not even sure why I am now. No answers. One rep, Regan King, has been great trying to help me but the deciding group is above her pay grade.

For the past 4 months the wait times have been over an hour for BOTH online chat and on the phone. It is unacceptable that the company has not remedied this issue. They can hire additional customer service representatives fir wait times that high. Its been consistently high no matter the hour or day of the week. Changing brokerage company.

The customer service is top-notch, but facility is dated, dark, and claustrophobic. The staff were high-energy, helpful and very knowledgeable. Free parking is available in Westin Hotel, which shares building with E-Trade.

Todd Smith is fantastic! He is also a CFP so I recommend working exclusively with him. It is important that if you want someone look at your retirement picture they are a Certified Financial Planner if they do not hold this designation then honestly there probably (my opinion) just a salesperson.

Went into the Buckhead branch to open an account. The operation rep, Brent Walker, told me a couple things that were incorrect about Etrade's retirement forms which I had already completed with the help of an Etrade retirement rep prior to coming into the branch. I corrected him but he became defensive. He was arrogant and disrepectful. Don't put someone out at the front desk if he doesn't know the firm's own forms! Went to TD Ameritrade down the street and opened my account.

Attended an E*TRADE education day! All the speakers were excellent and well versed. I can't wait to use this knowledge that I've gained and to pass on the knowledge.
