Well, this is probably my first non 5-star review ever. It has been 3-4 weeks since I moved in, but I have had constant issues which involves a health concern.
To be fair, staff members at the leasing office are top-notch. We got a tour from the nicest leasing office staff we have ever met. Thanks to the him, the tour all the way to the moving process was very smooth.
The initial issue we spotted was excessive noise and bass vibration. The wall between my unit and the next door is very thin, so I could hear TV and music from them easily. We installed acoustic panel and moved additional furniture to the room, but the issue persisted. After a few chats, our neighbor lowered TV and music volume. I still can hear it well, but if it gets excessive, I just gently knock the wall and they turn it down.
The bigger issue is smoke. The moment I moved-in, I could smell strong cigar or cigarette smell in the unit. We thought (hoped) it would be from the people who lived before us, so the superintendent borrowed us an ozone machine to remove the strong smell. It seemed to go away for a few hours, but came back.
Now, I have three high-functioning air purifiers and many smell absorbents in the room adjacent to the next door neighbor, but cigar / cigarette smell steeps in a few times a day. Even with the air purifiers, all my clothes in the closet smell like cigarette.. and the smell gives me a headache if I am in the room when the smell comes in.
I installed a small air quality monitor this week and could verify my guess. When I can smell the cigarette, the air quality goes down, even to the point that gives me a warning. This is a serious health concern.
The building is a non-smoking building and the lease says if you smoke you could be evicted, but that doesn't mean your life at home will be free from second-hand smoking. We promptly reached out to the management office and the staff kindly mentioned that the team holds periodic inspections in the hallway, but honestly the whole hallway smells like cigarette.. so it would be difficult to single out one that constantly smokes in the unit. Now that it's two weeks since we officially raised the concern (and many follow-ups after that), but I didn't see any changes. There could have been soft communications that I'm not aware of, but I didn't see any announcements or improvements.
Although there are other issues, like the constant wait time for elevators and lines for packages, they are really minor comparing to the bigger issues. At least the building is pretty, staff members are generally kind, and the neighborhood is nice. I really hope the issue will be resolved soon, so that I can feel at home!

A close friend of mine is moving to Atlanta and made an appointment to tour at The Hue. Whittnay did a spectacular job showing us the floor plans, amenities, and answering any questions we had. We had been on various tours that day and can honestly say we enjoyed touring with Whittnay the most. In a world full of angry leasing agents Whittnay was a breath of fresh air.

EDIT: After moving in, the property manager have completely changed that doesn’t solve our concerns. The car regulations changed without much notice and we ended up having to pay $600 at the towing company. The elevators are constantly down, there’s constant maintenance entering, and it’s hard to get a response to complaint emails sent to the property management. I would suggest you keep this in mind when deciding to move in. Looking forward to moving out!
The rental process and move in went very smoothly with the help of our leasing agent, Akim! He has been very helpful and went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed upon move in. The front desk staff have also been very friendly and made sure we got all our packages.
The Hue Midtown is a beautiful apartment with spectacular amenities! I would recommend to go on a tour with Akim if you’re considering a luxury apartment in Atlanta!

I’ve lived in this building for about 6 months now.. was able to see the previous management company’s disaster unfold,, but they are gone. The building is always the building. The management team is the main thing. They respond. They don’t leave it up to the customer. The amenities are awesome. Things get fixed. It’s been an awesome ride so far and I’m happy here.
New outside entertainment chairs and fresh new tile in the lobby.. making it better 🤩

I’ve only been living in the building for two weeks, but I already feel at home!
Randy guided me through the entire application process, was always available, and very kind.
The building is very clean and pleasant, and the whole team is simply wonderful! Highly recommended!

I gave it a 3 due to the issues we’ve experienced with enjoying the amenities and overall efficiency of the building. From a positive perspective, the staff is extremely friendly (special shout out to Alvin and Whittnay) and accommodating. The apartments are also spacious and modern. From a negative perspective, it is hard to enjoy the building when the amenities and elevators seem to be broken quite often. For example, the hot tub hasn’t worked much over my 4 months, elevators have gone down or sent into emergency mode while in it, and key fobs don’t work for some residents keeping them locked out. Residents can also be pretty messy, often letting dogs urinate in hallways, elevators, and in the garage. Luckily, the apartments are well-priced.

I had a wonderful experience with Chasadee Denson at Hue Midtown. After being a resident here for four years, it finally feels like we’ve found a property manager who is not only very helpful but also attentive to all residents' needs. Chasadee is quick to address any issues that arise, ensuring everything is taken care of promptly. I truly appreciate her dedication to maintaining a welcoming and well-managed community. Highly recommend!

I gotta say the building overall is amazing. Andre does amazing work, and I cannot overstate that enough. I am only leaving this low of a review due to my experience tonight.
Whoever worked the front desk on 10/10 around 8:30 has a terrible attitude. The guy was rude from the beginning and interrupted my girlfriend and I many times for just trying to pick up a package. Refused to help us get the package.
We got the package notification hours ago and were just trying to pick it up and be nice to him. Terrible work ethic and terrible service. I’m not sure if it’s a normal thing for the overnight people at the front desk to hate their work, but it seems like it fits the bill.

I lived at hue for several years, location is amazing, living above Whole Foods is also amazing.
I went through several management companies in my time here and the team that is running the building now is the best. Whittnay was extremely helpful working with me on my move out, and went above and beyond to make it easy for me.
I would definitely recommend hue to anyone looking for an apartment in Atlanta!

I usually don’t leave reviews but I just wanted to highlight the concierge! Specifically a gentleman I met named Alvin. Phenomenal customer service, I feel like I’m in a hotel every time I walk through the lobby because of his energy but in the same breath he allows me to feel right at home before I make it upstairs. He always engages me in conversation that doesn’t feel too corporate or scripted. His professionalism is by far the best I’ve experienced at this property let alone most properties I’ve visited or stayed in. I can truly say that the staff matches the ambience of this property.
