Today I was charged $330 for a battery service I did not need. 30 mins prior to my car arriving to this location via tow, the car was able to start and move at a maximum of 30mph with no problem. When asked for an itemized receipt, Antonio rudely said it would show and be emailed to me AFTER I pay and that the battery alone was $169. He also said my tow service driver is not allowed to touch my car until I pay and that I would not be able to buy a battery anywhere for a cheaper price…which was a lie. A quick google search showed me I could get a battery for my make and model for as little as $79.
When viewing the mobile pay link, as you can see in the photos provided, there are no prices next to each “service”. There are also things on the list that I did not request like a protection service as well as the installation package which I found out with quick research was the same thing as labor(which I was charged for already). These charges look suspiciously repetitive and I believe I’ve been scammed. 0/10.
Earlier this week I was quoted $3900 for a catalytic converter service and once I called back I was told $3300. This is ridiculous and this location’s way of conducting “ business” should be investigated thoroughly by corporate.
Update: Not only has it been over an hour now since I paid and DID NOT see a receipt post payment like Antonio said I would, but I have yet to receive a copy of my itemized receipt via email. This location offers bottom of the barrel, below sewer rat level service!

I had my daughter’s car towed there because it would not accelerate past 30 mph, the car did not need a battery but they put a battery in anyway charged my 25 year old $330. Instead of diagnostic only, they diagnosed a catalytic converter with $4,000. repair so she sent the tow truck driver back to get the car, my daughter was not there but on the phone, the manager, Antonio refused to let the tow truck driver tow the car back until she paid Pep Boys $330. the cost of the diagnostic and a battery including labor to install that she did not need. THANK YOU PEP BOYS I HOPE YOU GO OUT OF BUSINESS!!!!!

Avoid This Pep Boys – Especially If You’re a Woman!
This location has had my daughter’s car for six weeks with no resolution. Every day, the manager tells us that someone will come to program the car, yet the next day, it’s the same story—empty promises and no action. We call, we follow up, and we’re constantly told, “tomorrow,” but tomorrow never comes.
As women, it really feels like they’re not prioritizing us or taking us seriously. No one is helpful, no one is truthful, and at this point, it’s beyond frustrating. Ladies, save yourself the headache and take your car somewhere else!

On Saturday my tire popped and without a spare I had to get the car towed here. When I called to confirm the drop off, three technicians told me my car was not there.. I called the tow driver and called them back and an hour later “they found my car. Here’s where it gets worse, after they found it they told me they wouldn’t put the work order in until Sunday. When I called in on Sunday (now I haven’t had my car since Saturday afternoon) Brandon answered listened to me (nonchalantly)then just placed the phone down and placed me on hold for another hour ( he didn’t say give me a moment, he didn’t say hold, he didn’t say he’ll be back to the phone) he said nothing ,BRANDON JUST PUT THE PHONE DOWN ON THE COUNTER!!! I had to call back from another phone to speak to him again! Brandon then informed me that Pep Boys does not have my tire and it won’t be delivered until Monday… wow! Now I haven’t had the car since Saturday and PROBABLY won’t be back in my car until Tuesday. I cannot express my extreme frustration at this point I am beyond LIVID due to the total disregard and immense disrespect that this shop has devoted to me and my car! I just needed a tire. Brandon didn’t do much to help and consistently belittled me and my concerns; calling me little girl and stating oh well you want Me to help you but I can’t !!! If my provider didn’t insist on leaving the car there (since the work order was already in) I would of just had it towed somewhere else.. Courtesy, UNDERSTANDING and Professionalism should be the standard BUT IT IS NOT HERE !!! Please do better !!! It’s always a bad day when something goes wrong with your car and the gentleman at this shop TURNED a minor inconvenience into a Colossal one!!

Bad customer service. I arrived on a tow truck because my Mercedes went into limp mode, all I needed done was a reset that takes maybe 6-7 minutes with a remote that you plug into the car. They told me they couldn’t do it, I would have to leave it over night because there was 100 people in front of me, and that I would have to pay for a $99 diagnostic that I never asked for or needed. I would understand if what I needed was going to take 20-30 minutes, but like I said 7 minutes tops to do what I needed and I would be out of their way. I was so unpleased with their attitude I drove my car next door to mavis in limp mode and they fixed it IMMEDIATELY! It took 5 minutes.. shout out to mavis tires and brakes. Don’t bring your car here unless you want to wait excessively and be charged for maintenance you don’t need.

Don’t go here what so ever. A bunch of incompetent mechanics who will mess up your vehicle over a simple battery replacement and starter. And they overcharge like crazy. Pep boys in general sucks no matter where you go but DEFINITELY don’t go here. You have been warned.

I love the family feeling of this location of Pep Boys. I had my car serviced here on two occasions and was impressed by the quick and thorough job they did in fixing my brakes, rotors, and split tire. I also didn’t feel cheated out of my money on unnecessary services. I’ll definitely be going back in the future and recommend this place to others.

I arrived at Pep Boys around 3p for a walk in Oil Change. They told me it might be an hour before they see my car. I got the tracker text around 4:30p. The next tracker update was the inspection results around 5:48p. Can you believe I didn’t get my car back until 7:16p. No one came out to update me or explain the recommended service the car needs. A few other people in the waiting area had similar experiences with the wait time. That was my first and last time at this location.

Poor communication and very unprofessional! I had to call them for almost 2 weeks for updates on my car for repairing 2 wheels. Very awkward interaction after telling me to come pick up my car when device wasn’t complete. I try to support my community but this quality of service will deter me from any future support with this location.

By far the worst service I’ve ever received. I don’t know why I bothered coming back not once but twice.
The first time I was waiting for over 4 hours for a flat tire. I came in right as they opened and still had a long wait. Not only that but they also gave me an oil change that was not approved by me but I was still charged for it as they had already done it. They also diagnosed my car with over $1000 of needed repairs. I decided to hold off because I still needed my car. I went back the following week to have the repairs made. I decided to drop my car off in the evening and I wasn’t called until 11am about the diagnostic. They estimated over $3000 worth of services and repairs that weren’t matching with the first diagnostic. I approved a few of the services and decided to get a second opinion as I was told two different things. It was around 5pm when I called asking about the status of my car and they said it had been ready for a few hours. I could’ve gotten my car much sooner but no one communicated that with me. It’s very frustrating. The man working the desk tried to convince me to get the remainder of the services done and I had to show him the paperwork that he had given me. He proceeded to tell me that they don’t look at the service history and I later revived a call with him admitting that he had gotten the paperwork mixed up and $3000 quote was meant for another customer.
I went back to see if they could replace a few bulbs on my car and I was told to go directly to the bay and ask a technician for help. I don’t know about anyone else but that seems like quite the liability. Neither of the techs that were available were able to help, one of them wasn’t even trained on this.
Professionalism is out the window here.
