Super unorganized! Technicians just wonder off. Communication is poor. Shop
Is clean, but staff is lazy and not as knowledgeable as they should be. Specificity for them is going the extra mile, which I found ODD! Not a place where I would come again. Staff is not rude, they are fairly pleasant. Just lazy, with poor communication and a lack of knowledge. Got 1 new tire. Took what seemed like forever

Worked with Cornell and his team in my vehicle. Cornell was great. Very patient and communicated progress of my vehicle well. 4 stars because my issue could not be serviced.

Double charged my credit card for service, when I tried to resolve the issue they told me to talk to the bank, turns out even their own system showed two invoices for the same work being done.
Required I go into their shop at opening and gave me the run around till I showed them proof they had charged me twice.

Unnecessary Repairs & Lack of Diligence
I had a terrible experience at Pep Boys. After my car wouldn't start, Advanced Auto Parts gave me a diagnosis that I needed a new starter and coolant. Pep Boys wanted to charge me $200 to diagnose the engine code, but I declined. They then charged me $600 to replace the starter and alter realized they didn't even check the battery or the starter before replacing it. The next day, my car wouldn't start again. AAA found my battery was at 11% and needed to be replaced, nothing more. Pep Boys admitted they didn't test the battery because they assumed I knew the issue. I'm not a mechanic! I've relayed information, but I guess it was easier to take $600 without proper diagnosis, or only okay to diagnosis and test some things but not all. YOU are supposed to be the expert. I won't use Pep Boys again and am disappointed with Advanced Auto Parts for their incorrect diagnosis.

The manager Christopher completely lied to me regarding the service that I needed on my vehicle. I was informed that I needed to spend $1000 for new calipers and brake hoses. I end up taking my vehicle to a family friend was also a mechanic and he told me that that was a complete lie. I was able to get my brakes changed with ease by the family mechanic although Christopher told me that he was not going to be able to take the calipers off my car because I need New calipers and brake hoses. I would not take my vehicle to this location. If I could create a zero, I would! They are Going to rip you off. Go elsewhere.

The worst car repair experience I ever had. One 3-hour job took 5 1/2 days, numerous broken promises on ETAs, no call backs, one tech out of town, the other tech sick, and it takes an area manager from out of town to finally do the job (can't borrow a tech from another Pep Boys?). I requested they delete my account from their database, I won't be coming back.

The first time, they canceled my appointment at the last minute.
They had my car all day at the shop the second time, but they didn’t change the oil.

Kind of misleading pricing compared to what was advertised online.

I went there to get a tire plug replaced with a patch as the tire plug had a small leak. I was told that they have a company policy that does not allow them to patch a tire that has already been plugged. What??? A plug is just a temporary fix until you can get to a tire service center to have it properly patched. They told me the only fix is to replace the tire. There is plenty of tread left. The hole is in the tread. If this is company policy, then the policy is to tell the customer false information and get them to sell you a brand new tire. I purchased these tires at Pep Boys with a road hazard warranty which now seems useless. I will never return. Also, I had an appointment at 12pm and told them on the phone when making the appointment that I will be waiting for the vehicle. They told me when I got there that there were 4 other cars ahead and they take them as they come. There were no customers in the waiting area.

Never again!! I came in for just one new tire, the only store that had it in stock. I had to wait 5 hours for just one tire to be changed. This location was not busy, no more than 2 other customers present. I think I am done all together with Pep Boys in the future. The service wait time continues to get worse and worse at almost every location I’ve been serviced. One tire to be changed taking 5 hours to be completed is absolutely ridiculous!! No more Pep Boys for me moving forward!

F auto zone. Pep Boys is where it's at!! NEVER have I had such excellent customer service from a auto repair shop. The manager Rick at the Sandy springs location was patient, clear w explaining repair matters, efficient and extremely helpful. I wouldn't hesitate for one second in returning here for future repairs.

It was a bit if a nightmare and stressful day when I met my daughter at Pep Boys and dropped her car off only to have my car die in the parking lot! Rick Bondurant took care of both of our cars as quickly as possible and we went from very bad luck to on our way back home in no time. Ricks service was first class the minute he called me back to the moment we drove off. Id recommend him and his team anytime!
