NO!!!!!!! I didn't know what was wrong with my baby for a WEEK. I took him here for his first bday and the lazy, attitude filled groomer DAMANTE harmed my child. I am beyond distressed, typing this as I take him to hospital! PLEASE DON'T. the groomer who took care of him the first time is gone, you WILL NOT have a specific groomer. If he was going to have an attitude he could've at-least done the job right. Petco will NEVERRRRRRR see me or any other animal I own. Not even a freaking fish. They KILLED my first furbaby and I'm praying that haven't done it again. This company is at the bottom for a reason! I wouldn't go to ANY location.

I take my dog to get groomed by Taye and he’s so hands on and professional. My dog doesn’t like to leave me and he’s so patient with him.

I just wanted to say to the vetco team thank you so much. I had a lot of questions and everyone was so polite and gave me lots of information for budget friendly options also thank you for the reassurance I will be recommending my friends and family to this location. Again thank you staff you guys are amazing! And despite my cat getting all her shots and chipped today she has been as calm as she was with you guys.

Amanda was extremely rude to another patron in the store that was actively buying soft toys after having her dog groomed at the same location. I will not be visiting this location again.

My clients were kicked out of the store with their dog because the sales clerk was having a bad day. She was so rude. After spending $250 at the store, my client was kicked out of the store because she was using her purchased treats to tell her dog to sit and was rewarding the dog with those treats that she just purchased. I called to speak to the store manager and she refused to give me her name. I don’t understand what kind of training these employees get but this was the worst petco experience ever.

Shame 0 stars isn’t an option. I’m visiting from California and I received the worst service I’ve ever received in any state I’ve visited. Do not go to this location.

Today I sent a client to this location to get their dog groomed, get treats and get a toy. This client had already completed all of these things before I had ever arrived. The client, in all of her excitement, shared that she was going to be working with a professor trainer (me) in a bit. Amanda, who identified herself as a manager, told my client that she needed to leave the store... I came in calmly, introduced myself to someone who was texting at the second cash register, and proceeded to ask if there was a way to salvage things. I explained that this woman had already spent close to $200 on grooming, treats and toys and that I didn't think she needed to walk away feeling this way about the company. Amanda was curt, rode and combative. Those of you who have been there know this. Those of you working with her know this. And those of you in charge of managing her have heard this complaint (please check the camera footage from today been 2PM-3:30PM. Even as I attempted to de-escalate and salvage this situation, she unfortunately fell into the "it's our policy" loop that people unqualified to manage anyone or face time with clients say when they've run out of patience and the ability to reason. The unfortunate part is we don't ever come to this location. Their reputation in the working dog world proceeds them. We weren't there to train at that location. We were there to buy supplies to train at my client's favorite restaurant about 100 feet away. Even after presenting my credentials and trying to reason with this person I was told I was being rude. It's all on the camera. I reminded her that her job, like mine, is a customer service job. And that stockholders were relying on her to get this part right. She simply would not let up. So here it goes, and so we are clear: Amanda, while you may have believed you were right, your aggressive and combative approach prevented you from discovering why we were actually there: TO BUY A TOY AND TREATS TO TRAIN WITH NEXT DOOR! You went out of your way to offend a paying customer - an active customer who came to your place with their new puppy. You robbed her of what should have been one of the best days of her life as a new pet owner - the first day, those first treats, and that first toy. That's a really crappy thing to do. That's the literal opposite of your company's mission statement. Had we been there to train, that would still absolutely be the wrong approach. The mistake was mine though. I sent her to you. I won't ever make that mistake again. So instead of the $167 she had ALREADY spent (we've since returned everything), you get a bunch of bad reviews. Ego concerning the wrong part of your job is why they should let you go. Your coworkers silence let me know this is who you are. The example you set for him was gross and the exact opposite of what you are there to do as a "manager". Management is a complex job no doubt. The moment you lose sight of the absolute fact that you are CUSTOMER SERVICE, you begin the countdown to your eventual and inevitable separation from the company. So good job. You win. A policy is not meant to be an excuse to abuse and destroy a customer base that doesn't belong to you. Nielsen reports 97 percent of consumers read online reviews, and that they trust reviews as much as recommendations from friends and family. To have a fighting chance in today's digital world, your business needs to be consistently getting new reviews. And you just got one from a globally respected K9 subject matter expert, university instructor, certified K9 SAR instructor and Training Director for one of the world's foremost institutions. I am willing to bet a few people will understand the significance of this review. Oops. P.S., A quick Google search reveals that Petco has more negative feedback online about this policy than they have positive reviews about the training they offer. May be worth considering if this policy serves your customers, your employees or your shareholders. See

All the staff is very people/pet friendly at the Sandy Springs office on Roswell Road. Robbin is especially helpful in getting our Munchie registered to see the providers in the office. Since this is our first time owning a pet and she's a pet owner as well, she gives us very valuable insight that has been very useful to us. She is, for sure, an asset to the office! Thank you, Robbin, for being an approachable person in assisting us in the care of the new addition to our family!

I'm writing this review not about the store, but about Tyler in the aquatics department. Tyler is bringing a level of knowledge and passion that you'd normally find at an LFS to friggin Petco. He's super friendly and helpful and clearly cares about educating customers on proper fish care. Went out of his way to help me out with a tank purchase today, too. Thanks again!

The staff here were absolutely fantastic and knowlegable. Jade, Amanda and Tyler (not 100% of his name but he had dyed blonde hair) were so helpful as my friend bought products for her first dog. We were so appreciative of their knowledge and assistance.

If I could give negative stars I would. I took my dog here for a regular grooming, which I have done on countless occasions at countless different petco and petsmart locations throughout her lifetime. She is a well mannered small dog who has NEVER had an issue with grooming in her 12 years. Paige was her groomer and when I arrived to pick her up, I was so casually told "she got a cut on her ear". I immediately panicked and asked to see the "cut". This was not a "cut" at all my dog's ear was slit into separate pieces !!!!!! She was actively bleeding and terrified. I knew immediately she would need emergency care and stitches. I was infuriated with not only the fact that my dog had been injured so gravely but the audacity of the staff to not call and notify me of this Injury immediately after it occurred is heinous!!!! I was further infuriated when I asked the "Grooming manager" if everything was okay when I first arrived to pick her up, and knowing that she had been injured, he lied and said "yep she's fine, just finishing up". The carelessness, lack of emergency notification, and the lies were ridiculous!!! The cut on her ear looks like it was attempted with shears that were way too large for her small 9 pound body. The groomer was completely negligent and the entire staff was very nonchalant about why I was so enraged. I had to take her for emergency vet services and they (petco) undoubtedly paid the bill as an admittance of their negligence. I should have been contacted immediately when she was injured!!! If you care about your pet DO NOT GET THEM GROOMED HERE!!!! I have been following up with the manager and general manager and there has been no response since this incident occurred!!! That goes to show you how heinous, dismissive, and disrespectful their actions are.
