Sam Flax is a favorite local art supply store. It is an inspiring place with a great selection of basically everything, including paper, paint, fountain pens, inks, and much more. They stock so much for you to touch and hold before purchasing. The store has a sale room with super cheap stuff. Staff are awesome and provide helpful service, such as cutting mats and foam boards. Some items can be really expensive, but they are one of the few stores in the area to carry specialized items. It is a lovely shop that nurtures creativity.

My friend NEEDED something specific for a class in the morning and they closed in 3 minutes, they specially cut it and let her pay over the phone and waited for her to get there RIGHT when they closed. awesome awesome people
