We went to this location at least 3 times a week for sandwiches (and have for YEARS). I called yesterday just after 6pm to place our usual sandwich order but was told the new kitchen hours were until 5pm. No problem, totally understand hours changing. We really wanted to have the sandwiches we like so today I made an alert to remind me to call and place the order before 5pm. I just called at 4:42pm and the lady who answered said the kitchen was closed. I inquired about what I was told yesterday (new hours being 5pm). She said that is indeed their new kitchen closing hour. I said, "but it's 4:42..." and she said they close at 4:30 to clean. To which I asked if that means in the future I should consider the closing hour to be 4:30. She replied, no we close at 5pm. I again said, but it's 4:42. She said back "Yeah, but the kitchen closes at 4:30". Since the actual location closes at 10pm, she's not making any sense at all. She sounded like she couldn't have cared any less about my confusion or frustration. Yea, I'll go elsewhere because that makes absolutely zero sense. Today was our last day.

I got a BLT, and not only was the bacon half soggy and half burnt, but the lettuce was clearly not fresh. It was so soggy. I tried to pick things out but my sandwich basically fell apart. The bread wasn’t crispy either, so I couldn’t eat it. A waste of money.

I give up. This place used to be great but lately anytime I get a sandwich it's wrong and missing most of the ingredients. Today I got two ham sandwiches that are supposed to have "Ham, Cheddar, Red Onions, Cranberries, Mayo, Arugula, Whole Wheat Bread." Instead, the sandwiches had copious amounts of mayo, tons of onions, some cheddar, and less than 2 oz of ham on huge sandwich bread. No cranberries, no arugula. It was literally an onion sandwich with a little ham and cheese. But, mostly bread and mayonnaise. For $10. One sandwich wasn't even supposed to have any onions and it was still an onion sandwich. Really sad how downhill this place has gone.

I used to love this place, but most of the food on the shelves are expired and expensive. The staff are not friendly.

This store is very often not open during posted hours. Several times per month, minimally. It is extremely aggravating. There are many outdated and dusty items on the shelf, which I would be more willing to overlook if it were actually reliably open! We were also turned away from ordering food an hour after opening because they were short staffed, which is not the first time. It is impossible to get in contact with the owner to discuss. The minute the new cafe opens on Dresden, we will never return to Savi.

not to bash on this place but ive been coming here for years, and I regularly enjoy their sandwiches. tell me why, half way eating one of my sandwich yesterday, i noticed it tasted off and i flipped it around and noticed MOLD!!! ?? i threw up right after just at the thought of it. i asked the bagel to be toasted, so i feel like it should have been noticeable if you had to cut it in half and flip while toasting. im just disgusted honestly and now ive been throwing up and having tummy problems.

We bought ice cream and it was freezer burnt and seemed to have been melted at one point and then just refrozen.

Solid cup of coffee with a deep flavor profile. Not too bitter or hot. Decent offerings such as sugar, cream and such. Price was commensurate with what one would expect.

This place has gone DRAMATICALLY downhill. I used to go there about ten times per week but the staff changed including the manager and it's become awful. Chaotic arrangements of shelves that are half empty and often carrying expired products, the sandwiches are nowhere near as good as they used to be (and are available far fewer hours than before), and the staff is generally inattentive or rude. Their are Savis all over the city and I love them but this one for some reason is inferior to the others. Hopefully they replace the manager again soon and it can get back to Savi standard.

Got a grilled pimento cheese and it was cold like ice cold not sure if that’s standard but to call it grilled gives the impression it would be a warm sandwich. Lady who took my order was very nice though.

Savi is very conveniently located and has the potential to be great. It should be a good option for emergency groceries for the neighborhood. Problem is they are consistently not open when they say they are. They open at 7am on weekdays and I’ve shown up at 7:20-7:30am many times and the lights are off / door locked. Completely unreliable.

Really high prices across the board, but it's one of the only close places I can get a yerba matte near me. I picked up a 12 pack of LaCroix and when she scanned it the read 7.99 - already really high when most grocery stores sell the exact same product for 5.99. Well, the lady adds another dollar - 8.99. I'm not sure if they were trying to take advantage of me and that I wouldn't notice but I was in a rush, and they didn't have the price posted visibly so I wasn't going to argue. Their hot food is also consistently awful too, but this was the final straw for me - ill never go back.
