My favorite local Sephora location in the city! Like so many others, I'm a big fan of Sephora and love to stop in when I need some goodies or just a little retail therapy. Located in Ponce City Market, this location isn't huge, but has a great variety of products. Parking is... well, it's PCM lol. There's tons of parking, but it's not always a guarantee that you'll get one right out front but it's possible. I always appreciate that there's always staff on hand to help, I never feel like I'm scrambling to find anyone. Of course they probably work on commission, but assistance is assistance! The team is always friendly and a huge help when I'm just walking around looking crazy. Always worth a visit!

I have shopped here since this location has opened, and I am pleased to say it usually provides helpful staff and a friendly environment. However, there is one woman who I am genuinely appalled with. She works for this Sephora under the alias as a “Gucci Representative”. She has been rude to me on a number of occasions while I am just browsing the brand. She is very condescending, and I have brushed it off because my experiences with other employees here have been so great , but I am speechless at the most recent incident. She actually got into a heated altercation with my mother while we were there shopping at ponce over the holidays over something she could have simply conveyed. She completely disregarded and degraded my mother as a customer, and then snapped at her for opening a lipstick product. She then even proceeded to approach my mother and I again while we were leaving! I wanted to take my mom shopping for the holidays and this woman completely soiled the entire experience and is overall and embarrassment to the ponce location. She is an extremely abrasive, and aggressive employee that is honestly poisoning the entire staff and location as a whole. She has black hair in a low bun typically, and tan-ish skin.

A few days ago I came to this Sephora and was interested in one of the Gucci products and the female representative with dark hair was extremely rude to me as if I didn’t know anything about beauty and she ruined my experience of shopping at Sephora which I usually enjoy.

Came to this location while at City Winery because I got a gift card for Christmas. One employee out of many was the only friendly one. I saw someone around and asked for help with NARS and she rolled her eyes and asked what I needed help with. I needed help picking a specific Laguna bronzer. She huffed and puffed and asked on her mic who was working the floor. Shortly after she rolled her eyes again and said “fine I’ll just help her” lmao. I told her nevermind I’ll just figure it out. Pretty sad when the Sephora workers in NYC are much more friendly than in Atlanta.

A tall girl with braids helped me today and she said her name is Lee I believe. Anyways, my experience was not great at all. She was clearly annoyed that I said yes to needing help. She then was upset that I didn't know the exact look I was going for. I told her I'm experimenting concealers/foundations and her patience was awful. I only tried on 3-4 different concealers that she chose and then I settled on a brand I have bought before. This is due to her bad attitude. I felt extremely rushed the entire time. I was tempted to just ask for someone else to help me. Keep in mind the store was NOT busy. 95% of employees were standing around.

Rude employees. I was there at 8:52 pm seeing and testing some cosmetics and was reminded thrice by employees that the store closes in 8 mins. Thats fine by me. While one employee was assisting me another employee came to me and said quite rudely that they have families to go home to. Like what did i do to disturb her family time? Doesn’t the store close at 9 and not at 8:52? Got very hurt by her behavior and I will make sure to never come to this location again.

That was just ridiculous and it’s sad racism still exist today ! I will be sueing this store

I came to this location today to stock up. When it came time to check out the salesperson tried to stuff everything in a tiny bag. I asked (very nicely) for a larger one. I received both a larger bag and a bad attitude. Sheesh. It wasn’t even crowded so I wasn’t holding up a line.

Nick was so helpful today! I’m not great at makeup and I’m especially bad at picking the right colors. Nick asked all the right questions to figure out which product lines would work best for me and he’s got such a great eye for color and tones, he really zeroed in on great matches and was quick to move away from a product line if their colors weren’t working on me. He turned something I was dreading into a quick and easy task and I never felt a moment of pressure to buy anything. Stellar experience. Thanks Nick!

I hadn't been to a Sephora in a while, so to be honest, I was a little excited to stop by, learn about some new skincare products and perhaps try a new fragrance or two. Five minutes into my trip, excitement shriveled to regret. These clowns were more interested in fraternizing and prancing around the store than WORKING. I came in during the week when the ratio of employees to customers was 2:1. Not once was I asked if I needed assistance. These people obviously don't need jobs. I vote to automate or better yet, close this store. The beauty industry is full of vapid people and quite frankly its landfill of product, is a WASTE of RESOURCES and MONEY. We are already beautiful. These people and their attitudes are NOT.

Came here wanting to purchase some nail polish after getting off work. Immediately I had staff following me around the store, eyeing my work bag, and even one employee lied to my face and said they don’t have nail polish (They did, a holiday set of 6 polishes). This made me feel so uncomfortable for simply having a large bag with my coat in it. When I checked out I didn’t mention this to the cashier, not because I didn’t want too. They were on a call the entire time. I purchased my polish and left the store with an employee following behind. Complete lack of customer service and lack the promotion of their products. Very disappointed.

This location is a mixed bag. It’s a very small store, and products are often out of stock, so definitely check availability on the app first. What testers are available are not appealing - lots of empty/dried/messy product. Back-stock is not refilled - anything “out” on the shelves is almost always in the drawers underneath, but heaven forbid you open one yourself. Service is very hit or miss - online order pickup is generally smooth, and associates are very friendly when you can get one, but even when the store is quiet, you’re not greeted or asked if you need assistance promptly. Most importantly, the associates do not seem knowledgeable or trained in the products whatsoever. I come in looking for expertise and opinions, and find that I always know more than the staff (I am not a MUA or aesthetician). Absent an online pickup order, I’ll probably stick to the store at Atlantic Station.

I was in the middle of a mental break down messed my makeup up and asked if anyone could help me. Ms Lee took on the challenge and fixed my runny makeup. Thank you Lee for your top tier customer service. I wish there were more of you. It’s not often you get genuine people like you ! Especially in Sephora. Thank you for being kind and human. Truly heaven sent !
