I usually don’t visit this particular Sephora since I work near another freestanding store, not in a mall. The foot traffic there tends to be more about casual browsing rather than intentional shopping. However, I had a specific purpose this time: to purchase a fragrance that had been on my wish list for quite some time.
In the fragrance area, the employee didn’t seem very engaged when I asked for clarification about the difference between the supercharged version and the original bottle I was interested in. He quickly became distracted by a very nice-looking gentleman who squeezed between us and started asking questions about his own desired fragrance. As a result, the employee forgot to bring my choice to the register, and I had to wait while the cashier retrieved it from him.
This was quite unfortunate because I ended up spending over $150 on a bottle of perfume and was ready to buy more.

Mixed experiences. Came in for an appointment to get a full face done. A guy in makeup greeted me and stated he’d be my makeup artist. After I told him what I wanted, he excused himself and another young lady appeared and stated she’d be my makeup artist. When I joked that the guy had abandoned me, she just giggled, but offered no explanation regarding the change. The guy walked around and saw me several times , never acknowledged me again.
I would chalk this up to just ignorance and unprofessionalism except this isn’t the first time something like that happened to me at this store. This leads me to believe it’s protocol and if so, that’s really bad habit/ policy. If you introduce yourself as the person who’ll be servicing someone and for whatever reason you change your mind, the very LEAST you can do is return to that customer and explain, and in turn, introduce your substitute. You’d think this would be common sense, but apparently not.
On the flip side, the people who have done my makeup in the past did a good job so the experience here isn’t all bad. Also, the store stays busy so apparently the inventory is adequate, and for the most part, the salespeople are polite.
Still, the customer service has been subpar and inconsistent to the point that if I can avoid coming here, I do. No one wants to go where their patronage doesn’t seem to be appreciated.
Do better.

The first time I came to this location the customer service sucked and I left. I came again to give it another chance and the customer service still wasn’t good! No one assisted me either time!!

They didn’t have my shade in stock in the foundation I wanted at ANY of their stores! They didn’t even offer to help me find another foundation option. They are not helpful at all. I went across the hall to MAC & they helped me. I guess Sephora doesn’t want any money.

I came in for an Instacart order. They didn’t have it so I had to call to get a refund. So I’m walking around the store to do that and I was being watched and followed until I entered the line where I had to purchase my other items.

Would not recommend this area, I drove twenty minutes for a color match and nobody felt like helping me the whole 15 minutes I was there. A young lady asked me did I get helped yet with my color match I told her no so she said in the radio I need help stil and still I waited five more minutes and nobody ever came to help me they just ignored me and past me every time

Ive never had a bad experience at any of the other locations (Avalon, Mall of GA, Kennesaw, etc.), but im writing this review out of frustration. Every time I come to this cumberland location, there are two employees who are hostile, condescending, and they just look like they cannot be bothered to do a simple exchange. I had a product leak in a packaging issue from an online order, so I came here to return and exchange for a new one, and her attitude was the absolute worst. I try my best to understand that people do have bad days because, after all, we are all human, but she was just incredibly rude and tried to blame me for the packaging issue. I wish I got her name, it was too long to remember, started with a J. Another time, the same girl straight up ignored me when I asked about a product, rolled her eyes, and walked away.
I will just go ahead and make the drive to Kennesaw because this location is unacceptable.

I went from not knowing where to start with my makeup purchasing and regimen to being able to fully do my makeup with a wonderful professional look through having Iris help me yesterday at Sephora! Every staff member there was helpful and glad to help, though Iris was one of the first people I interacted with at the store.
I am just beginning to do my makeup thoroughly, and Iris listened to understand what kind of look I was looking for, helped me learn which makeup essentials I needed, and patiently guided me through trying out different kinds of makeup until we found what I was looking for. She even helped me to find the clean, organic products I was looking for! Today, I was able to do my makeup with no problem, and it looks great, thanks to Iris! A huge shout out to every staff member there yesterday, doing great work for your customers!

worst customer service experience ever. Employee asked me if I was ready, she helped me with picking out my last item. Told me to use her to checkout as the registers were already shut down for the day. I went to check out with her (2 min later at most) and another employee told me they were closed. I repeated what the first employee told me to do and the lady asked her if that's what she said and she bold face said NO and walked away. The second employee checked me out with an attitude and asked someone else "can y'all let her out" to which the employees said no. I could have been rude but, but decided to leave a sweet review for her instead. Be blessed.

Had a great experience with Milan (I hope I didn’t spell that wrong lol). She helped me choose a foundation, concealer, blush, and powder. She was very attentive and made sure everything matched my skin tone. I will definitely be back for more recommendations.
