This is such a lovely little grocery store. The shop keeper is very sweet. If you need anything from back home they have it. I recently discovered they sold dried plums here, which brought back so many memories. This shop has the best collection of teas from the middle east.

In my purchase today, I saw he rang up the wrong price on bread. I brought it to his attention. His response was 'the price went up' rather than give me the lousy 50 cent credit, he left the cash register and put a new price on the bread. The law states he should sell for the price listed not charge me more and change the sign. I was shocked at the tone deaf employee. And it was pressure to buy this or that. He tried to sell me dates at $2 more per pound when they were the exact same thing as the ones $2 less. Then he kept asking me if I wanted the $10 ones and literally brought out that box, I said no, there is no difference they are the same size. he said the different was the price. Duh? How screwed up is that? He would not shut up trying to get me to buy something, mint, walnuts with skins. It was extremely awkward and I didn't come in to be handled that way. There are plenty of perSiam grocerie stores....m That is my last visit to this store.

Not sure why this place has gotten so many bad reviews lately. I used to shop here frequently when I lived nearby and loved wandering the jam packed aisles looking for interesting things. Recently I was in the neighborhood and stopped in for old times sake and for Turkish pistachios, my fave. It was just as great as I remember. The gentleman behind the counter was helpful and attentive but not obsequious. I left with all sorts of goodies. I'm glad they're still around and providing all the great Persian things that are not found anywhere else.

We made a trip to Atlanta for my birthday party at Persian restaurant near this store and have been purchasing from time to time in the past ten years. We stopped by on 9/25/21 around 4:15 pm and I purchased few items and got in the car and my daughter purchased some frozen Persian food and there was a problem and they call me back into the store. The gentleman behind the cash register was acting like he didn’t speak English and yet he has been working there for more than 10 years. He was charging on the over priced frozen food 3 times and my daughter was telling him that she only got one and the price was over $21 . He claimed that he can not get the credit card working and so he refunded $45 back. I was embarrassed by this and that was not the end of it . We drove back to Greenville SC after dinner and noticed some of the frozen food were out of date and expired. Some other people also told me that he is known to change dates or sell spoiled food in the past. As a Iranian I am embarrassed in front of my family and they have wasted over $300 worth of food that are some out of date and then over charging and taking advantage of American born Iranian family members that in good faith shop at this store. Never again going back and I will tell anyone shopping at this store to stay away. This matter has been reported to proper authority for investigation.
