i spent 7 months here, and if it wasn’t for the staff here, i wouldn’t be here today!! Not only did they help with physical therapy but the mental part is the biggest help. i just want to say thanks!!!

Everything about this place is great except for one thing and that is if you need FMLA documentation it will take a long time and no one calls you or seems to really want to help. The doctors, nurses, and staff have all helped me in more ways than I could possibly count and I am eternally grateful for them all dealing with my pain but it seems if the reach goes beyond the office area as in the FMLA paperwork no one wants to help with that. Maybe it’s just me but my case was denied because after 2 weeks of calling to fix 1 line of paperwork I couldn’t get it resolved

Shepherd Center staff KILLED my husband!! Shepherd Center is supposed to be an outstanding rehab center. I pushed for my husband to be admitted there for rehab after his stroke. My husband got worst after spending time at the rehab center. My husband was Improving at a long-term acute card facility prior to Shepherd. He was on a grounded food level and able to say a few words. The speech therapist moved him off grounded food back to purée food. They were concerned that my hus

The team that helped with my son was not very positive, not very encouraging, sort of down in the mouth, not expecting much. More time should’ve spent on the area that was a concern instead of just general activities. also, one of the attendants who stayed with him was very mean to him and treated him badly, and we did not know it until he left Shepherd. We were very disappointed in the overall attitude, after we had heard such a great things about Shepherd.

It is an excellent place for spinal cord injury and brain injury with inpatient and outpatient services. One of the assets is the people, the care and commitment they put into the patients. I cannot thank enough for the love and care they are having with our son. This is the place of respite when your family live a catastrophic event and need hope.
