This review of System 5 Electronics (S5E) is based on interaction with the company as a result of a hit and run by one of their employees in a company car and not of their business performance. It is intended to shed light on their lack of ethics and integrity to take responsibility which would certainly concern me when contracting them for security work. While traveling through Atlanta, we were tied up in traffic on I85. The S5E employee made a dangerous unsafe maneuver and tried to pass between our car and another one just ahead of us in the adjacent lane. There was clearly not enough room but he did it anyway hitting our front quarter panel with his rear quarter panel and then speeding off never stopping to see what he did. Due to the heavy traffic on I85 we eventually caught up with him and although he tried to switch lanes and evade us, we were able to get close enough for pictures to identify his car, the damage to his car and of him. A police report was not possible given the traffic conditions and the S5E employee leaving the scene. We made S5E aware of the incident and sent them the pics we took. The company representative apologized and indicated they would pay for repairs out of pocket, requesting the body shop estimate. They never questioned our account of the incident, but said the driver didn’t realize he hit us (his evasive efforts said otherwise). Upon receipt of the estimate, they changed course and turned it over to their insurance company. The insurance company eventually dismissed the claim stating S5E now denied any involvement in the accident, damage to their car (the pictures showed otherwise) or knowledge of the incident by their employee. S5E’s position change should be concerning with regards to how they would stand behind their security work in a similar situation. Legal responsibility took priority over moral obligation. With many security companies in Atlanta, I would strongly suggest people pursue other options given our experience.

I am big on supporting black businesses as well however I purchased a Smart Keyboard for my front door through the company only to find out after installing I would need a new keypad . Months later I was harassed by customers service billing while I was in the hospital and they term my contract. When I need customer service I can never reach anyone. Ironic

I tried calling system five electronics for about 2 months to cancel my service and I'm still continuing to get a bill in the mail from them one of the Representatives called me about upgrading my system to a 5G and told me that my system was not working so why am I still getting the bill

We have been customers for over 20 years and we always try to support black business. But the customer service is absolutely horrible. We have a low battery in a motion sensor and it’s beeping continuously. They have two after hours emergency numbers and after 12 hours I’ve gotten no response, this is it for us. I will discontinue the service and we will be going to ADT where you can get service and someone will answer your call. Do not use them.

I'm glad I finally left this company. I had them at two properties for a total of 11 years. I ultimately left because I was required to pay $400 to upgrade my system to keep my service. At no point was I offered a discount for the number of years I have been with the company.Once I decided to leave I discovered I needed a security code to take the box that I paid over $500 for. System 5 refused to give me the code to unlock my panel. The representative was extremely rude and said I just needed to pay the $400 to upgrade & stay with their company. They do not make it easy to leave with the equipment, you pay for. They lock the box. Their customer service is AWFUL.I couldn't understand why I was disrespected and yelled at while I remained calm and merely asked for a number.Several people over the years have had attitudes with me at this company including the owner. I tried hard to stay with this company because it's black-owned and the pricing is low.People deserve to be treated fairly.

I have been a System 5 Electronics customer for almost 20 years and at all four of my homes that I have owned here in Douglasville, GA. Their customer service department is second to none and if you have any problems, the owner Mr. Brown will get involved to ensure you are completely satisfied. I had the pleasure of working with one of their employees by the name of Tanisha and I must say that she was very professional and went out of her way to ensure that my issues were completely taken care of. I would recommend System 5 for all of your security system needs.

I have tried to contact their office, but I can never get someone to come out to my home.Leaving voice mails doesn’t work. They tricked me into signing a new contact, only to never follow up. I might as well have had my doors wide open for the last 6 months.

I have tried for over a year to get there ever changing personnel to recognize that I discontinued my service almost a year ago. I have sent multiple emails to several people and even the owner. I just received a phone call last week regarding a delinquent bill and today received another invoice for service. The organization can not be that large that no one talks to one another. Horrible billing system and everyone says the same thing. I will look into it… I see the notes.. well read them!!Service: Security cameras

Horrible experience. There is lack of communication amongst the staff and leadership when problems arise. The office manager, Ms. Bryant, is very defensive, and is not interested in resolving any issues. Had it not been for her, I would have chalked this up as a service that did not work for me. However, my interaction with Ms. Bryant led me to write a review to warn others of the unprofessionalism that you may experience if you have a problem that requires speaking to someone in charge. Needless to say, I do not recommend System 5 for alarm monitoring. Save yourself from being disrespected.
