For me TJ is mostly a fun treasure hunt and I usually find a few surprise treasures. I absolutely can not be in a hurry and the stores that are more organised are the best.

I went to the Buckhead location looking for a cute purse. I found a nice white Moschino bucket bag locked on a cable. After waiting about 5 mins, I was able to get one of the women from the jewelry counter to unlock it for me so I can check out. Prior to me asking for her to unlock it, I checked the price to see it was marked as $39.99. Once the sales associate unlocks the purse she informs me the tag is not on it. She then proceeds to call another location for a price check. She comes backs to me after about 15-20 mins to say that the bag is priced at $199. She asks if I’m a tjx card holder and if I have rewards. I answer yes to both questions. She says she will print the tag so I can check out. Do y’all know this lady goes and starts helping another customer?! I never see the bag again and she never even comes back to where she left me standing. I believe the bag was really $39.99 and she put it up for herself. I hardly ever go to TJ Maxx because I’ve always felt it’s more hype than anything. And after today, it might be a while before I ever return!

Discriminatory. I went to return a wand curler on my lunch break and the cashier basically accused me of having just used it, claiming “it’s still warm” . Mind you, it’s hot in Atlanta right now (February 4, 2025)—it’s currently 73° outside. The curler was purchased a week ago and has been sitting in my car to be returned ever since. So OFCOURSE it’s warm. Additionally, its a wand curler, meaning if I had just used it, my hair would be curly. I walked in with a head full of STRAIGHT red hair—and I work in an office so I damn sure wasn’t curling shit at work. I hate this Buckhead location and I only went because it’s near my job. I’ll never be back though.

Nothing was wrong with the store and the cashier was nice, but the manager asked the cashier to stay late and she said she was unable to and the manager gave her a hard time about it and made a scene in front of the other employees saying "this is twice i've asked you to stay late and twice you've told me no... you only have one more." I felt this was disrespectful to the cashier and her time, not only to do in front of other employees and customers, but to argue with her after she said she was unable to work more than she was scheduled, especially since she was doing a great job during a rush. If you need someone to work until 10, schedule them until 10, don't make employees pick up YOUR slack and reprimand them when they are unable to.

Cashiers were competent & very nice / friendly. Yes, the line was long, but Christmas shopping is upon us! No on-the-floor assistants were to be seen. I approached 2 clerks who busy stocking items. One lady & one gentleman were extremely helpful when I asked them questions. If shoppers cannot find the “perfect gift” in this store (with great prices), I wish them luck! Merry Christmas!🎁🎄

TJ Maxx is a shopper's paradise for great deals! The store offers an impressive variety of brand-name clothing, home goods, beauty products, and more, all at unbeatable prices. You never know what treasures you’ll find, and that’s part of the fun! The store is well-organized, and the staff is always helpful. Perfect for anyone who loves quality and savings☺️☺️😘

This is why I refuse to shop at TJMaxx. 40 people in line and they have two cashiers working. Both cashiers couldn’t move any more slowly if they literally tried. Saving five dollars on a shirt isn’t worth dealing with this level of incompetence.
