Ongoing Poor Service, Delayed Transactions, and Unreliable Support
On May 19th, I went to the Truist Bank branch off Memorial Drive to deposit a check. The line inside was long, with only three employees working the counter at a very slow pace, so I used the ATM instead. As of May 24th, that check still has not cleared.
Meanwhile, I deposited another check at Navy Federal Credit Union on May 23rd, and it cleared the next day—May 24th—which clearly shows the problem isn’t with the check, but with Truist.
Unfortunately, this is not a one-time issue. The customer service at this branch is consistently terrible. The employees behave as though customers work for them, not the other way around. There is no urgency, no courtesy, and absolutely no accountability.
To make matters worse, when I try to call Truist customer service, the calls are clearly outsourced, and it's very difficult to understand the representatives. There’s often a language barrier, and it adds even more frustration when you're already dealing with delayed funds and poor in-person service.
At this point, I’ve lost confidence in Truist Bank and will be closing all of my accounts next week. I cannot continue to trust a bank that is this unresponsive, inefficient, and customer-unfriendly.

Wonderful branch, convenient and staff are expert. I do a fair amount of in person banking, and this Truist is very supportive for our banking needs.

The staff here is super and courteous.
Vast majority of experiences here are about long and aggravating delays. Truist apparently too cheap to pay for sufficient staff. Great for stockholders. Too bad for customers.

Just left after asking for change. I was told by the teller they don’t have access to money. Um- is this not a bank? They could only do deposits. Horrible customer service. Don’t bank here.

This is my favorite Truist branch to visit. Some of the reviews indicate that it's slow. It is, but that's likely a resource issue from the top, not an in branch issue. Beyond that it's the exact kind of slow I like. The kind that takes time to ask about family. The kind that focuses on you and your needs until you feel satisfied. The kind that looks at your financial needs as a process and a consultation rather than just a transaction to rush you out of the door. The kind of slow that reminds us that the heart of Atlanta is about making a community feel connected and cared about and serviced, and sometimes that takes time. Thanks Ms Donna and others for always getting the job done for me!

I can't speak to some of the other aspects of this branch, but Ms. Donna McCrary is the best! I was a victim of fraud, and she worked with me to quickly get a claim filed with Truist and expedite the resolution. Her care and attitude is exactly what anyone would want from a banker.

They are rude and disrespectful!!! One of the branch manager ask me for all my personal information look up my account just to turn around and say she can’t help me, she has a client coming. I ask her what will be a good time to come back she tells me she don’t know everybody is too busy to help me set up a new account.

Ms. Donna McCrary is an exceptional senior relationship banker whose dedication, expertise, and commitment to customer service truly set her apart. From the moment I walked into the bank, Ms. McCrary greeted me with warmth and professionalism, instantly putting me at ease. Her extensive knowledge of financial products and services allowed her to provide tailored solutions to meet my specific needs, ensuring that I made informed decisions every step of the way. Not only did she go above and beyond to assist me with my banking inquiries, but she also took the time to build a genuine rapport, making me feel valued as a customer. Ms. McCrary's attention to detail, patience, and willingness to go the extra mile exemplify the epitome of excellent customer service. I cannot recommend her highly enough and am grateful for the outstanding experience she provided.

Went in to get a very important document notarized. The banker said she didn’t like that it was a printed screenshot, which was the only way I could print it. A notary is just a witness of a signature. She said the font was too small for her to see. It was fine. She refused to do her job and only offered excuses. My time and energy was wasted. Maybe because it was 4:50 and she was ready to go home. Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful.

The tellers are super friendly but this bank does not have it together at all. I opened an account as was told I’d have a card within 5-7 days…. It’s been almost a month and they won’t even issue a temporary one. It also seems like they have no one working customer service but an incompetent robot. I’ve also heard that they don’t reimburse for fraudulent charges even when it’s their system that’s compromised. There are just too many red flags for me to not close my account.

I'm new to the neighborhood, but I've been banking with SunTrust (now known as Truist) since I was 16 years old. However, I'm now 27 and looking for a new bank. Recently, Truist allowed $3,000 to be wired out of my account at nearly 3am, from an account/state/name that I have no association with. I immediately reported this to the bank to try and get my funds returned. Fortunately, the funds were returned, but Truist only offered an apology.A couple of months later, I started getting weekly charges for Amazon Prime, even though I am not a Prime member. I went back to the bank to share my issue, but was only told "sorry" and my money was replaced. My main concern is how my money continues to be accessed when the bank is supposed to be keeping it secure. When I asked about a more secure account with interest, I was told about an account that sounded great, but I've been charged fees since it opened. Not one fee was mentioned when I was introduced to this account.Overall, my experience with this bank has been terrible. There is an extreme lack of knowledge among staff, and even the branch leader is never available. I've come to the bank at different times of the day, every day of the week, but I've yet to be able to speak to the branch leader.

Shady bank practices that do not value any sort of continuing relationship. It does not matter if you do everything they require of you while you forgive all of their transgressions, they will still crucify you on every tiny detail. Also, good luck getting anyone to answer the customer service line - expect at least a 30 minute wait every time you call. Go somewhere else.
