East Atlanta Post Office has thieves amongst them. It's amazing how every piece of nothing mail can be delivered, but no checks. There have been 2 checks to come up missing, and nothing has been heard from the postal service. To all residents who depend on this post office, they are definitely stealing and you are going to get caught.

I had the most amazing experience with this location this morning! Both Ms. Chelsea and Ms. SaPeria were great, these ladies provided a smile and hello greetings to everyone who came into the post office for counter service. I had to purchase a money and then send my letter certified mail so, I stepped to the side to complete my transaction and witnessed these two ladies provide a positive response to at least 15 customers, yes 15 because it was a busy time before closing. Please recognize and say Hello to these two GEM’S ! At time when most people provide negative energy and all you expect is positive vibes, this has to be recognized! Have a great day everyone!

I arrived right when it opened, and a postal worker was stocking the shelves. There was no one else, so I waited patiently. The postal worker was not bothered. Another postal office worker showed up and eventually started ringing me up. I couldn’t tell if she was talking to me or on her phone. Then I noticed that she had her headphones on and was engaged in a personal conversation while ringing me up at the cashier. They are not present to offer services, but they are there as a favor to you. Keep that in mind.

As others mentioned (and as the bad reviews imply) this location is wildly understaffed for the area it's in. Typically it’s very slow and with long lines extending into the lobby. That said- these workers CARE! I sent a package from this location with a bad address last summer that got returned to zip code origin. My return address label had fallen off but the folks at the counter remembered me and held the package for me for months knowing I would come back in. They truly care about the community, the customers, and getting mail to the right place on time. Thank you to all of you working at this location & I hope this office expands its hours, hires additional staff, and grows to meet the needs of the neighborhood. In the meantime, be patient- try to come here during off hours- it’s usually a very short wait if any at all.

I took a package here with boots in it 3 weeks ago to send back that didn't fit, they never got delivered and I can't even find my tracking number, either they stole them or just plain forgot to mail them back. Lost that money.. I will never return anything to this post office to be delivered again, no wonder it looked so sketchy. Lesson learned.

Don’t ever answer the phone, always having trouble with the carrier not reading the address completely. They used to have some good reps the older ones but now just sad. The management is disappointing as well.

This location is wildly understaffed for the area it's in, so it is typically very slow and long lines. BUT this is not the employees' fault, so as a community, we should try and be as helpful and kind to them because they're all we got. Write letters to your reps and ask for more funding for the local PO. EAV is growing, and the Post Office is having a hard time keeping up.

The employees here are so unbelievably rude. They put the wrong sticker on my package, tried to tell me that I'm wrong despite the tracking saying it has been sitting at this facility for 5 days. As she was looking in the back, I could hear them laughing at the situation despite this actually being a serious issue. They don't care about anything. Sloppy and rude.

Waited with a group of people trying to drop off packages with no acknowledgement for over 15 minutes after the counter was supposed to open. It took multiple customers asking the empty counter space in front of them for us to be told to wait a few minutes. I could hear the workers talking and giggling despite them knowing they had people waiting. The manager didn't seem to care, although she was in a meeting at the time. It was only when the manager was notified that someone actually came out to help us.

I wish I could give zero stars. I lived near this post office for 6 years. The service got progressively worse. They’ll tell you conflicting information each time you make and inquiry & they never answer the phone. Lines are long & they will ignore you if you’re asking for help during business hours.

This Post Office needs to close down. 75% of the time they are not open for business during the normal 8-5 PM business day. Their credit card machines aren't working, their inability to provide receipts, or the outside drop boxes are taped shut. They only have one pickup time during the business day; 5:00 PM. And, the facility is dirty, both outside and inside. If this location was in Buckhead, Sandy Springs, or Chamblee, it would not look like this. Disgusting. And their signage would be spelled correctly. Receipt is not spelled recipte! Get an education!!

I visit the East Atlanta Post Office regularly to drop off mail or packages or pre-paid returns. It's a busy place but the staff are always pleasant and helpful.
