Shopped all around Perimeter Mall for men's dress shoes, with little success. As an infrequent shopper with little idea of what I wanted, all I saw were very opinionated styles that weren't going to do much for my grandmother's funeral.Von Maur felt different walking in. At first I was intimidated by how classy everything looked and felt, I was worried it was going to be too expensive. But I was greeted warmly and nonconfrontationally as I approached by Todd, who was very attentive to what I was looking for and very knowledgeable about the shoes in stock, on clearance, and in his own personal experience.He helped me find two comfortable pairs of shoes with great versatile styles, each for about half what I would expect to pay. I certainly didn't expect a place with a live piano player to have the least expensive shoes in the mall.Todd is a great salesman, but never made me feel pressured. At one point he brought out a new pair from the back, and I thought "here comes the upsell." But the pair he was bringing out were the cheapest in the store -- even he was surprised. He had just recommended them because he thought they were the right shoe for what I was looking for. Turns out he was right.It's a shame I do this kind of shopping so infrequently, because Todd himself is a real find. I couldn't find anyone in the store at that moment to praise him to, so here's a Google review. Thanks again

Do not buy in this store, they have terrible service, on weekends they close early and they do not care who stays inside the store, they close it, they are very rude

So I’m going to start off by saying this, me & my boyfriend were discriminated very bad at this store basic off how we looked & how we dressed. We came to this store just to look around & see what we could find but there was 3 associates that were very rude. Theses 3 women were black, white and one was Asian. They were very disrespectful & make me feel uncomfortable, I wanted to get a fitting room & I took my boyfriend to the waiting area then one of the associates came back there & told him that he wasn’t allowed to be back there but he was waiting on me. It was very ridiculous!! Once I had got to checkout thoses 2 other ladies started asking me about credit & do I know anything about credit cards & asked if I knew what I was doing. I took that ask very defensive only because I’m in school for dental hygiene & I have amazing credit, on top of that I come from a very wealthy family. I’m just not the type of person that feels comfortable enough showing how much wealth I come from.Anyways moral of the story, I don’t recommend this place at all. && if I had there names I would most DEFINITELY CALL THEM OUT.IM AFRICAN AMERICAN BTW

Extremely rude lady made my friend cry and then the manager falsely “apologized” with no actions taken! My friend was playing the piano at the store (for which she asked nicely to, and then a sales woman came over and told her rudely and using an awful tone, to stop playing because the store already had music on…). My friend has already stage freight and bad anxiety and all musicians know how bad this can be, this lady doing that just made it worse and the store did like they didn’t care. If you will have a piano for your customer to play…you should train your staff to be nice. I WANT ACTIONS TAKEN not false apologies after you make such big damages.

I’m giving five stars to Sheree for her wonderful customer service. I was completely impressed with her professionalism and can do attitude. She was extremely helpful and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this location.

I was disappointed. I was shopping for trousers to wear to business meetings over the next month. I discovered that I am too tall and either not skinny enough or too fat to wear what was available except for two pairs of black trousers with tapered legs. My calf muscles don't fit well in tapered legs, and at $189 per pair, I wasn't willing to buy trousers that fit my lower legs like compression socks.

Love the shoe section of Von Maur, specially the sale room! I usually end up buying at least two pairs of shoes where I visit! Great bargain!
