Zip Moving & Storage canceled on me at 9 a.m. the morning of my move with no backup crew available. After confirming everything, they left me completely stranded at the last minute. Thankfully, Knight Movers stepped in the same day and saved the move. Zip was unreliable and unprofessional — I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

The loading & unloading crew was awesome! Nothing was broken and they moved us in a timely manor. The quote range was right on target. However, we were disappointed with communication from the office. Zip packed us on Sunday AM, stored our truckload overnight, and were supposed to show up to unload on Monday at 4:30 pm after our closing. We had difficulty contacting anyone after hours when our truck didn’t arrive. We were beginning to panic because we had no bed to sleep in! Finally the crew leader (who loaded the truck) called me back after numerous calls and texts. Luckily, he was able to get a crew and unload that night at 7:15pm. No word YET from the office to explain what happened. Not a straight story on what the issue was. If the crew leader had not called me back who knows when our furniture would have arrived. Poor communication - but otherwise a good move.

Updating my review. While the moving drop off day was rough with a late crew and some missing items, customer service was super helpful, professional, and really made an effort to fix things.

I’m not happy at all with the experience here. Poor communication on when movers would be there, often arriving outside of normal working hours and having my family stay up until past 11 PM. Multiple days to load, which was never communicated, creating delays for us and causing issues with me being able to complete work assignments. A missing truck—we were told our items would arrive today and one truck full of items, include my work set up is entirely MIA. Along with this, furniture is broken beyond repair from water damage while being moved. Adding additional charges. This place is dangerous and will cost you more financial, emotionally, and stress than just moving yourself. I could have done what they did in less than half the time, it’s a shame how awful this has been. Update: mover took until 2AM, still missing a bunch of stuff. At one point we were told our items were in Atlanta and after breaking the AI bot, found out they were still in MD with no expected delivery date. This has been the worst experience I have had with any company. Save yourself the headache, stress, and broken items and go with someone else or do it yourself. Finally get the remainder of the items a week and a half later—almost all the book shelves were broken, desk chair broken, wooden chest and solid wood book shelf damaged, countless large items broken beyond repair, items labeled fragile were packed upside down, I could go on and on. Along with this, they clearly overwork their workers and under pay them—creating unrealistic schedules that leads to these issues. This company should be shut down. Please save yourself the stress, headache, property damage, and complete lack of professionalism by going with a different company.

Avoid Zip Moving at all costs!
We hired Zip Moving after a promising FaceTime quote that seemed budget-friendly. We paid a deposit and signed the contract, expecting a smooth moving day. What we got instead was an absolute nightmare.
On moving day, the crew immediately insisted our move would take two trips and last until midnight, with extra costs, of course. We reluctantly agreed, but it quickly became clear that this was their standard practice: lure customers in with a low quote, then jack up the price once they arrive.
The damage they caused was even worse. In an attempt to move their truck closer to the basement, they got stuck in the rain, leaving deep ruts all over the yard. I had to pay out-of-pocket for landscaping repairs, including sod replacement—on a home that had already been sold!
Then came the furniture disaster. I walked into the master bedroom to find my wife’s jewelry armoire carelessly placed on top of a brand-new dresser, delivered just the day before. When I lifted the armoire, it was clear why they put it there—it was covering multiple gouges that had been made on the dresser.
I reported everything immediately, but Zip Moving went radio silent for weeks. When I finally reached out, they brushed me off and told me to file a claim under the insurance I purchased. I did—expecting fair compensation for over $2,500 worth of damage. What did they offer me? A measly $120 as a so-called “goodwill gesture.”
Zip Moving is dishonest, careless, and completely unreliable. Their “cheap” quote is a trap, their crews are reckless, and their customer service is nonexistent. Do yourself a favor—go with a company that actually values its customers and respects their property.
Coming up on 2 months later and the company has done nothing.
Update 7-28-2025. A check did arrive. They reimbursed me for the lawn damage but nothing on the new dresser. An expensive lesson was learned.

Mario and Jose did a great job moving our large items, they secured them well and was very careful loading and unloading our items. Both men are hard workers earn their pay, would highly recommend Zip Moving to anyone having to move. Good Company

I used Zip for two of my moves…in-state and most recently, my move from NC to GA and couldn't be happier with the service. Communication was clear and consistent, and the team arrived exactly when they said they would. Huge thanks to Dean for coordinating everything so smoothly and for being flexible with my delivery date to meet my needs on a tight schedule.
Alex, Stephan, and Malik were fast, efficient, careful with my furniture, and super respectful throughout the move. Everything was packed and wrapped with care, and the whole process was stress-free.

Was quoted $2200 for moving 3 bedroom house, ended up paying $3000 plus I had to pay separately to rent another truck because they sized it too small. The workers were courteous, but that was it.
