My system is always saying low battery for that I can never use it my doorbell no longer work so if someone dnt knock at the door are if I'm not in my room I never know someone is at the door I think ADT is over priced for their poor service 0 recommend

I am United States Army veteran. My wife is also United States Army veteran. We both have struggles with PTSD. We decided to go with ADTCSRA group two supplies. Our security needs was the service guy I talk to. He set me up with everything at my first house over in Grovetown things went good for the first year not many issues, I relocated to my brand new lakefront property. These people choose not to call their customers when they’re having problems. They choose not to speak to them on the phone deliberately go out of their way to ignore your phone calls or any other type of communications. I speak to Maria, who is supposedly the area manager. Refuses to give me a phone call so we can discuss as a professional to customer about the issues that I’m having with their company and then refuses to cancel my services because they are showing me that they cannot keep me protected I advise you not to use this company do more research. I am in the process of possibly contacting a lawyer. I have text messages to prove this. And willing to show horrible company

Buyer beware! I have been a customer for seven years and for most of that I did not have a contract. Every time you change your equipment or update it, they put you under a monitoring contract even if you pay for your equipment they do not tell you this at the time. In addition, you cannot transfer your equipment when you move, which I found out after I moved even though I own my equipment. Then they put you under a new System which they tell you is the only one as an option only to find out that your previous system was available. You cannot change it back once you sign your contract they will penalize you with cancellation charges and make you sign a new contract if you try to change your system. Even though you were told it’s not available at the time that you sign your contract. They have continually lied to me over the years and I’ve only found out after the fact. once my contract is up I am done with ADT I also have had continual issues with this new system that they force me to get. They do not tell you with the new system that they merged with Google that it is a pilot system and so it continually has issues and they’re using you to work them out. They rolled out this system, maturely without having it updated or even having the equivalent features of their third-party system. They decided that they wanted to make their own equipment and they’re using us to deal with the aftermath of it. We are also paying the same amount of money for subpar product and service.

Initial home visit today went amazingly well and Chad was the best with outstanding customer service. He gave a great quote for what made sense to update my existing system, didn't just make a power sale. I appreciated that. Glad I made the call.

Giving ADT 1 star for a couple reasons. I’ll mention some pros and cons since I’ve been with them since 2020.
Con: I signed up with ADT in 2020 with a set rate for 36 months. Even though I called ADT and addressed my concern about the monthly plan increasing almost every 6 months, the plan was never corrected and ended up paying over twice the amount that I agreed on.
Con: Out of all my equipment, my ADT doorbell chime stopped working a within a week of installation.
Pro: I signed up for another 36 month contract with a different local ADT, representative, Caleb Smith. He gave me a discount on 2 google nest external cameras and 1 google nest doorbell camera. He did reaffirm me that I am on a set 36 months contract.
Con: The technician, Stephen, accidentally installed one of my new cameras incorrectly. He had the wires backwards and the camera was plugged into an electrical outlet for approximately 17 days. Before I found out what was the cause of the camera not working anymore, I scheduled 2 virtual appointments and ADT either didn’t call during the scheduled time or never called. I ended up having a technician come to the site and they refused to replace the camera that was installed incorrectly since the camera was working. The technician also recognized that one of my cameras had an older model ADT transformer and should have had the newer transformer with the google nest camera. He didn’t replace the camera or transformer. I asked for the camera to be replaced since I paid for a brand new one and uncertain if there was any permanent internal damages or to the battery. Same as the transformer since I upgraded that camera, too.
Pro: My old ADT doorbell chime was replaced with a google nest speaker. Haven’t had any issues since the installation.
Con: After 90 days, having a technician at your home could easily cost hundreds of dollars. Labor per hour is $100 unless you sign up for a care package, which is an extra $7 to your monthly plan. Then it’s less than $100 an hour for labor.
Con: I was informed by ADT (Billing Department) that Caleb Smith provided me wrongful information and ADT has the right to increase the monthly plan after 12 months, even if the customer signed up for a 36 month set rate.

"Absolutely terrible experience with ADT security! We had their system installed for two years, from 2021 to 2023, and it was a complete disaster from day one. The system barely operated for a month before constant failures started occurring. Despite multiple calls for assistance, all we got were temporary fixes that never lasted more than a couple of days.When we decided to cancel the service, we were assured by ADT that we would only need to pay the $900 equipment fees and that the $1,000 early termination fees would be waived. However, months later, they went back on their word and came after us through a collections company for the $1,000 early termination fees they initially promised we wouldn't have to pay.None of the components of the system worked as expected - windows and door sensors, outdoor cameras, detectors, flood detectors - none of it stayed online! The recording device was dysfunctional, the online app was unusable, leaving only the keypad door locks somewhat functional.Their call center wait times were insufferable, consistently over an hour, making it nearly impossible to get help promptly. ADT's deceitful practices and complete disregard for customer satisfaction are beyond frustrating. They are nothing but a pack of liars and snakes preying on unsuspecting customers. I wouldn't wish this atrocious service on my worst enemy.If you are even remotely considering a security company, steer clear of ADT at all costs. Save yourself the headache, the disappointment, and the money. They are a complete rip-off, and their shady business practices deserve to be exposed. I refuse to pay a single cent out of principle to this disgrace of a company!"

Worst security system ever. House totally burned down and still charged me full price for monthly services. Provided documentation that the house was a total loss and all. I Recommend Ring for $200 a year.

If I could give 0 stars, I definitely would. This office and corporate are obviously not on the same page when comes down to their limited warranty & regular service warranty. My system is a little over 30 days old and is not working properly and I currently cannot arm my system due to the issue. I’m 22 year old female, living in a new city ALONE that I am unfamiliar with and I rely on my system to keep me safe and keep potential danger away because my family lives far away! I was told by multiple people with ADT that this issue falls within my 90 limited warranty and I would not have to pay for the service call due the system not working properly! I had a technician (Juan Castro
Tech #: 330928) scheduled to come out between 8-12pm but refused to come help me because I wouldn’t pay the labor which I was told by multiple people with ADT that I did not have to pay. ADT attempted to send a different tech out between a different time frame but instead the service coordinator decided to reroute him and send Juan out again but he refused to come (which I was unaware of until nobody showed up and I had to call again for an ETA) and stated that his manager Jessica S. said that he did not have to because of me refusing to pay labor cost. They also lied and stated that a manager spoke to me directly. No where in my contract that I signed stated that I needed extra warranty or would have to pay a labor cost nor did anyone provided information about extra warranty needed. ADT really needs to get a grip on how their local office and service technicians are handling business because this is a bad look on them! If the issue is not resolved in a week I will be looking into legal actions and contacting the BBB. I would just like to know if something was to happen or someone did break into my house, what would ADT have to say? They clearly do not care about their customers safety as much as they claim!

Please, do not use this company. It is a scam. They will try to upcharge you for equipment and then bill you an outrageous amount if you cancel the contract (within the alloted time). Use someone else!

This company is highly overrated! They have a TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT SYSTEM. They overcharge for services and can't manage there own employees. I signed a contract, the technician installed the system. Then the technician had me sign another contract that showed no details about monthly payments or installation cost, I trusted that it would be ok. My mistake. The company ADT then contacted me and said I had not signed a contract and I would need to sign a contract. I told them that two contracts had already been signed. They mailed me a paper contract with no details about service, repairs, guarantees or any other questions I may have, just a promise to pay contract. I called them back after many attempts to get to the right department, but they Insisted I should sign another contract. I refused to sign a third so they charged me for everything at once. Over 600.00 dollars. They had my credit card info and the credit card paid. If they didn't have a contract how did they get the credit card info. Now the alarm needs repair about 14 months old it has not operated right for six months and they don't care. All they want is the monthly payments. I should have canceled, but my wife believes she is safer with the 911 button so she says to relax and trust .
This company is a complete example of how a big company is to caught up in PROFITS.

If I could give negative stars I would. I would NEVER EVER recommend anybody to go here!! First I get the install and the man that did the install BROKE MY WHOLE DOOR FRAME ! Then when I called they told me it was my responsibility to get if fixed.I called again asked for a manager to call me and they never returned my call.THEN PROCEEDED TO CHARGE MY ACCOUNT TRIPLE THE MONTHLY PAYMENT EVERY MONTH! I constantly called customer service and they kept giving me the run around saying they will call me back and never did. Still continuously charging my account. WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND!!!
