The Augusta Aquatic Center, operated by the Augusta Recreation and Parks Department, is a well-maintained facility that opened in 1999. Covering 40,000 square feet, it features a 50-meter by 25-yard Olympic competition pool, which can be set up as either an eight-lane long course or a 16-lane short course. Additionally, there is a 25-yard by 48-foot warm-up and instructional pool equipped with one-meter and three-meter springboards. The center is accessible for individuals with special needs and offers a clean, safe environment. Visitors appreciate the affordability, with a small fee of five dollars, and find the pools very clean and well-lit. The competition pool is warm, while the recreational pool tends to be cooler. The facility provides easy parking and a relaxed atmosphere, with helpful staff members at the front desk who are friendly and attentive. Many visitors enjoy participating in water aerobics classes and aqua jogging, praising the knowledgeable instructors and the welcoming environment created by staff like Amira and Lionel. Overall, the Augusta Aquatic Center is a popular spot for swimming, fitness, and recreation, offering a pleasant experience for all visitors.
I noticed the staff were face deep in their phones and not very engaging. For the Augusta divisional swim, there were only 4 mobile restrooms to service many people, There have been more.

It costs 5 bucks! I really enjoyed; it was worth the money. Only thing is that the recreational pool closes at 3:45 NOT 4. It’s still a great pool plus it’s clean !

The pools are clean and sparkle. One is warm and one is cool. The staff are relaxed and helpful. Parking is easy. Lighting is even adjusted well. Good work Augusta!
