About Augusta Training Shop Inc
The Augusta Training Shop Inc. is a non-profit work center established in 1947 that employs mentally and physically challenged adults with the purpose of teaching them to repair, strip, and refinish furniture, re-cane chairs, and polish metals. The talented employees learn to do their work independently. The shop hosts events where attendees can enjoy a wonderful time, create crafts, and purchase unique items like holiday snowflakes. Visitors praise the friendly and supportive hosts, though some suggest adding vegan food options. The shop has been spotlighted on ABC news, and customers appreciate the opportunity to support and give back to the special needs community.
