not very transparent with pricing. had two different associate tell me two different prices while my car was in the shop and pretty much took my money to tell me nothing about the state or condition of my car and insisted i pay more money for a service that was already being rendered. would not recommend

Truck was repaired, however I doubt very seriously the repair was over $900 in labor, there was no itemized bill for labor. Second time going there but my last. I feel like they randomly pull labor hours out the air and tack them on the repair. I really thought I had a trusty worthy shop, now I don't think so.

I have used Butler Automotive on Baston Road, in the past in 2017. Took my 1998 Chevy 1500 Silverado in multiple times. After the issue had been"supposedly" fixed. Truck came out worse than it did when brought in. Left me stranded in The Reservation Golf Club in Aiken, SC. Was forced to sell the truck for a lower price. And now, I took my 2011 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X V6 4.0 in. Since they are the only shop in augusta that does ECM work (electrical/programming) which I would have been glad to have fixed myself. However programming is not available to the public.Once again my truck has been left worse off. Prior to bringing it in. My truck was throwing a code for bad MAF sensor. Replaced the sensor. Then about a month later the trucks dash lit up. No throttle response, had my father in law tow me to my house. Strong crank, but no start.Had 2 mechanics with digital readouts tell me that there where was a no comms code ( no communication to the engine) I.E. bad ECM.Called butler soon after, they said they could fix it. Had it towed, the front desk man Jimmy Bronstein insisted that I "made the right choice by bring it in". Also insisted "it needs an oil change" Even though i just chaged the oil and filter a few weeks prior.Got charged over $2,400 dollars for parts and labour for the unit and programming. Got a call a few days later saying that my truck had been tested and it was ready to pick up.Now keep in mind that I have family of 5 that I'm supporting, even had to take a loan out for the cost.Within 2 hours the truck check engine light came on, the controls for the diff lock, 4x4 were not functioning, and the next day no click from the solenoid. No crank, no start. Called over the weekend with updates on what was happening day by day eager to get my vehicle back on the road. But come Monday no call, I had no car to go to work, missed a full 10 hour shift. I had to come in the shop in person to address the issue. And when I arrived they did not know why I was there. When I told the current front desk attendant what was wrong he wrote it down. Had my car towed again through the company C&M towing. I left confident my truck would be fixed this time. Waited until 12pm, but no call. Called got voicemail, called again got Jimmy. He said they were looking at it but had no information at this time about it. Then called me at 6pm (closing shop hours) to let me know that the tow driver from C&M towing had "cranked my car" to park it at their shop after picking it up. Even after he picked it up as a no crank. STILL TRIED TO CRANK IT.Then was told by Jimmy that there were 2 more problems with my truck. An O2 sensor code and a steering position sensor code, and the "possibility" of 4 camshaft sensors by speculation. After telling Jimmy Bronstein these codes were not present prior to service, he then said "Well your car has over 180,000 miles, the work was performed the warranty does not cover any further issues"Don't take your car to Butler Automotive in Augusta, GA. Worst experience in my life dealing with automotive repairs.Service: Electrical repair

The gentlemen who work at Butler Automotive are attentive and honest who care greatly about customers and providing the best service in town. After being left for a two weeks without minimal answers from my prior mechanic and my car still not running, I had my vehicle transferred to Butler Automotive as I couldn’t be without my car any longer being a one vehicle family. My car was towed there on a Thursday and I had my vehicle back to me within a week with all issues diagnosed and the car up and running. My family was taken care of with fair pricing and have found Butler Automotive as our new place to service our car from here on out. Thanks to Mr. Jimmy and his team for helping us out! We are beyond appreciative for all that y’all have done!

300 dollars for 3 hours of labor. 225 dollars for a 100 dollar part. Pretty much says it all.

Absolutely not an honest place to have any work done…needed to only have my fuel pump sensor replaced but was told I had to replace my fuel pump and pressure sensor because they weren’t sold separately $800 quite for part….telephoned Chevrolet parts and got told no mam you can purchase them separately and part was 103.00 now is that just insane ?? Of course I paid my 145 code diagnoses and declined their total 1782.00 quote to fix it and had another mechanic put it on for 300.00. I just wonder how many other hardworking single Moms have gotten this happen to them . Just know to ask questions and call parts stores and question everything .

I went to Butler Auto pretty upset because every other place in town was so expensive. I spoke with Matthew and he was amazing. I just knew that them fixing my Jeep was going to be just as much as the other guys. I ended up leaving my car overnight and he called the next morning with a quote $350 cheaper and had it ready the same day. He was patient and understanding. I'd definitely take my car back there again.

As a first time customer, I do not recommend this place. I was charged $130 just to get tail lights checked. After being checked, I was told that it would cost $600 to pull out interior, because of missing wires or short. After going home spent 2 hours looking found my problem Wich were in trunk tightened the ground wires and and my brakes workService: Brakes

Thomas was amazingly helpful. Worked with another mechanic to help fix a manufacturers part that was brand new and broke with less than 600 miles.
