I'm kind of torn on this review. As far as the buying experience, it was very good. My son had picked out a car he liked and test drove it. I couldn't see it until a few days later and test drove it as well (someone actually test drove it before me as well). Did not see any issues and proceeded to purchase the car. Sales staff was very friendly with no pressure tactics. Upon driving the car home, got a lower coolant warning 18 miles down the road. Was able to get the car home safely and sure enough, it has a coolant leak somewhere. Now, I have to wait a week to get the car to a BMW mechanic to determine the cause of the leak. In hindsight, I probably should have had a mechanic look at the car before buying, but that is hard to do in today's market as cars are being bought so quickly. I did not reach out to the staff with the issue because buying a used car is "as is" (and based on other interactions listed here). Overall, no issues with the staff during the buying process, just make sure you check out the vehicles extensively before you purchase.Update 6/23/23: Within an hour of this review being posted, the owner contacted us. They stated they could get the car in to a repair shop faster and sent someone the same evening to tow the car to the repair shop (at no charge). While in the shop, some additional items were found that needed repair. The owner offered a refund for the car, but since our son liked the car (and the fact that I hated the idea of starting to look for a car again) we said no. The car was repaired and the dealer paid for half the repair bill (which he was under no obligation to do). I have updated the review to five stars as Joye & Co. went above and beyond what I expected from a car dealer. Great job!

The customer service there seems to have gone the way of the dinosaur now. My mother and I needed to purchase a used vehicle using $2,000 cash for the down payment and two vehicles as trade-ins. We were told by one of the owners that we could test drive the vehicle we thought we wanted for a few days but that it wouldn't be available until Thursday, Friday, or possibly Saturday of that week. (We went to the lot on the Saturday before.) No word at all on Thursday or Friday, and on Saturday afternoon we called to find out why the suv we were supposed to be getting to test drive hadn't been delivered yet. We were initially told by the secretary that sure, she'd be able to get it to us later that afternoon, but she needed to call the owner we'd spoken with to confirm which vehicle. Then we were told that we would not be getting the chance to test drive the suv and would not be able to reach the owner until the following Monday as he was out of town again. On Monday we were told, rather rudely, by the same owner that our two trade-in vehicles weren't going to be accepted for trade-in. (Both had mechanical problems and weren't running, although one had been purchased from Joye & Co. only a couple years earlier.) The condition of the two vehicles was known by the owner when we originally talked about buying something from them again and had been assured they would be accepted, albeit not worth a whole lot. We accepted that change in decision and thought we'd still be able to make a purchase of the vehicle with the $2,000 cash we also had for the down payment. However, the owner next told us, loudly and rudely, that we wouldn't be allowed to test drive any vehicle there and that he refused to sell us any automobile whatsoever ever again and to never come back to their car lot.Plus, we have referred other people there over the last few years who also bought vehicles from them, AND, the owners used to be guests at our family's 4th of July pig picking and Christmas dinner for years. One of the owners, the brother of the one who was so rude to my elderly mother on the phone, was even married to my first cousin, although they're divorcednow! No idea why we were treated like this and never given an explanation by anyone. My advice is to look somewhere, ANYWHERE, else besides Joye & Co. unless you want to be treated like s*** by rude people who apparently think they don't need to act decently to potential customers or keep them informed at any time of the status of the vehicle or the abrupt change to refuse to sell to you without explanation. So bad an experience. So sad to see.

OMG!! I'M READING SOME OF THE NEW REVIEWS AND I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT I'M READING. I MYSELF PURCHASED A CAR FROM THEM AND BEING A SINGLE PARENT WHO KNOWS A LITTLE ABOUT CARS, I TRY TO PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING AND MAKE SURE I PURCHASE A CAR THAT WILL BENEFIT ME AND MY FAMILY. MY REVIEW IS FROM WHEN I PURCHASED MY CAR YEARS AGO AND ITS STILL GOING STRONG. YES I BROUGHT USED AND AS IS BUT I CAN HONESTLY SAY IT WASN'T UNTIL 2019, WHEN I HAD AN ISSUE, THATS TO BE EXPECTED THE YEAR AND PLUS ITS THINGS THAT PROBABLY NEEDED CHANGE BECAUSE IT NEVER WAS. I HAVE RECOMMENDED THIS BUSINESS TO TWO PEOPLE ONE PERSON still haveTHEIRS I forgot Why THE OTHER DIDN'T BUY. I KNOW ITS NOT ABOUT CREATING LONG CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS ITSABOUT THE $$$ And THE SALE BUT I WOULDN'T have put them in that group to do that. I'm a little scared now to go back to purchase another. It's my hard earned money and I just don't have $$ to waste and lose. I know you can't please everyone, but I would still like to think it's honest people when it comes to the business.

I gave it 1 star just so I could leave a review. My friend bought a truck and 1 week later all kinds of problems started. Mechanics that looked at it wouldn't touch it! They said it was DANGEROUS to drive! He took it back and they said too bad! It was rusted out underneath so they knew it was bad. Please don't buy anything from them. As for you, owners of Joye, you are a crook and have no concern for putting someone on the road in a dangerous truck and not taking it back. No I didn't buy a car from you but I was with the guy who did. If it were me you'd see me in court. Read the reply and there's no way you showed him the damage. The mechanics said no one should drive it because it would cause a wreck!

So now I'm sitting here with a truck that I only had for 2 months and the transmission is gone already... Worst car lot ever

Only reason I’m given the one star is because of the customer service they had good customer service but they did nothing to help me I bought a 2013Kia Optima and not even 3 months later the car just cut off on me in the middle of the highway I also hadMy kids with me I got the car towed to another place but they offered to get it picked up to have their mechanic look at because they said the other guys were no good. It took them almost 2 weeks just to tell me it was my motor when I’m sure they knew that all along in that time I had work they did nothing not even provide a car for me to ride in for the 2 weeks while they were supposedly working on my car overall that was a horrible buy and horrible experience for me never again

I would honestly have no other used car lot I would recommend but Joye Motors. They work with people and they care about trying to help people! I have purchased several used cars from them. After reading some of the bad reviews all I have to say is "you bought a USED car for Pete sake... how are they responsible for something going wrong months later?" Go here first when looking for a deal!

Bought a 2003 GMC Sonoma and I haven't even put 2000 miles on the truck and has broken down on the side of the road once. Had 500 in repairs, then was losing power around 45 mph and found out the cadillac converter was bad. Now truck is shutting off losing power after being cranked. I regret ever putting trust in this dealership and this is not the place to buy any vehicle. The most likely get their cars were they can run for a test drive and it craps out on you when you get home. 3 issues with not even putting 2000 miles in the truck. I would give 0 stars if it was an option
