Went there to find hats and a 3 associates were not wanting to give assistance. Askes about size for fitted hat it was over my reach still no assistance. Then wanting customize on them associate smarts off it will be a while still hsvd 4 ahead of you . Or come back tomorrow. We paid for plain caps and left

I would give ZERO STARS if I could. I went in purchased a hat with a name added to it. The lady told me 30 mins. I came back and my hat still was not done. The man said it would be another 15 mins because they had a mishap with the machine. Ok fine. So I decided to wait in store. He had the nerve to ask me to wait outside so other customers could come in and shop. Ummmm no sir I don't think so. I'm a paying customer and I should be able to wait inside for my merchandise. I got my money back because this is piss poor customer service. I will be contacting corporate in this matter. Oh and the other lady had the nerve to act like she had an attitude because I asked for a refund. It's MY money and MY TIME.

This rating is not about the customer service I received. That was excellent. This rating is directly associated with the quality of product I received. I wanted custom embroidery done on 4 hats I brought in. When I went to pick up the hats today, I immediately noticed 1/4 of the hats was terrible quality in which I was offered a solution that I did take. After getting home, I analyzed the others and quickly realized that there was an issue with all of them. Issues I saw were:- The stitching wasn’t done correctly on all of them- Pieces of the logo I wanted weren’t stitched at all/missed- Whatever machine is being used, it did not follow the line work associated with the logo. Some parts were stitched over, not at all or completely out of place.- Some stitching was bunched up causing lose stitching and if pulled, would ruin the logo/hat even further.- There’s a color of stitching I didn’t ask for in the hat.The list goes on. I say all of that so say this, 1) I’ve been to Lids before at a different location to have custom embroidery done and it’s been excellent quality. This was absolutely terrible. 2) I paid $100 dollars and I cannot wear any of the hats I paid for due to mechanical and blatant errors. That’s a lot of money to spend on items to customize and you can’t even wear the customization. While I understand the policy on no returns for custom embroidery, there needs to be a better way of mitigating these types of mess ups. The customer walks out with a lose/lose situation: paid for the hats, paid for the custom embroidery, waited, and comes up empty handed in the end. Out of time, money, and the item(s).I repeat, the customer service was excellent in trying to mitigate the issues at hand. They have their jobs and their policies to abide by. It’s not them I am upset with. It’s the policies. I won’t be back to purchase anything further from Lids at any location. All I ask is better quality, better machinery and all around better ways of handling a mishap such as this.
