I scheduled an appointment for my 2024 gmc terrain that I purchased from this dealership to get looked at due to a strange noise on start up that was not there initially. After they took a look, I was completely dismissed about my concerns in regard to my vehicle and the strange noise it had started making. I specifically spoke with Colby who stated that it wasn’t “firing any codes.” He also stated that a mechanic who is “very” familiar with these specific models stated that he believes it is normal and has heard this before. About 2 weeks later to no surprise my check engine light came on considering the problem was never addressed or fixed on my car. I took my vehicle to the nearest advance auto parts who pulled the code for me. It is comical that a female with no mechanic experience figured out the issue rather than a professional at a dealership. She printed out the code and the information along with it that could be the issue. I took my car back to the dealership with the code and information in hand. I spoke to the assistant manager, Gavin, and once again my concerns were completely dismissed. I even asked if they would like to see the code that was ran by the advance auto parts employee. He didn’t even answer. Maybe I was completely dismissed because I am a woman and that has a tendency to happen in regard to issues with vehicles. They seemed to assume that I had no idea what I was talking about. However, turns out there was a vacuum leak in my intake manifold due to something as simple as loose screws. I feel like they didn’t even thoroughly assess my car the first time and they almost didn’t want to the second time as well. It took me calling and complaining the next morning after I dropped it off to ensure it was getting looked at. Absolutely ridiculous honestly. This service was the poorest service I have ever received at any car dealership in my life. For an assistant manager to dismiss someone as well, that is just embarrassing for this company. Do better! I will be taking my service elsewhere and will NEVER purchase a vehicle from here again!
