They have 4 different charges on my account, that now I'm stuck disputing. I paid for the price on rental and $200 deposit at the time of pickup. I didn't have the rental 24hrs and I only had to put $13.03 in gas to fill up the tank and was charged a fuel fee of over $35 when I brought the car back full . Then at the time of drop-off I was charged another $113.87. I looked on my card and $267. 81 was charged twice.

It looks like I’m not alone in my thoughts of this company and their service. I booked the rental vehicle 3 weeks in advance. No issues with receiving a confirmation email. Arrived to the front desk and was told there were no rental vehicles available. I was placed on a list along with 20+ persons that were now waiting. Whatever service/booking system they’re using. Throw it away. I had the same trouble in Kansas City with Avis. I understand that mistakes happened and would look past it. Unfortunately their associate at the counter thought it would be appropriate to tell me to take a seat and get comfortable. It was strange but I couldn’t get comfortable in the airport baggage claim area for some reason. So I politely asked for him to call me when my rental would be ready for pick-up. He stated he wouldn’t be calling anyone. The tone could only drive home the fact that he along with this company don’t care for customers time or business. Avoid them at all costs.

Unfortunately, they waste your time here. Prepaid for my car rental, showed up today and was told it was at least a 2 hour wait because of some issue with their system. Don't waste your time with this place - AVIS/PAYLESS/BUDGET group is all under one umbrella. Had to call for a refund. Wish Hertz was still around the corner from my place, but now the options are minimal except going to the airport for a rental.

Reservations are misleading. Booked a vehicle several days in advanced, got to the desk where I was told no vehicles were available. Checked the website again and it had vehicles to reserve. Apparently they allow people to reserve regardless of availability.

I will never ever rent with Payless ever again. I am on military duty and they decided to give my car away before I got there. Fantastic. No apologies. No help. Never ever ever rent from this company. I will be sure to contact dod to make a formal complaint

Ordered a rental and due to changes in schedule was forced to cancel rental same night… Has been a month now and still have not received my money back and am jumping through hoops trying to get back what took 10 seconds to give, and am not really sure if i will get it back … If you can go somewhere else i would cause customer service acts as if Im getting on their nerves …

On 11/18 I paid for my rental online through the Payless website to pick up on 11/19 at 2pm. When I arrived at the Avis counter I was told by Dave there was no confirmation seen for me and I would have to wait 30 minutes because there were no vehicles ready. Almost 2 hours later I was assisted by an employee by the name of Dwayne who was called into work early due to the previous employee that was on had quit during their shift. Dwayne was very helpful however I was almost late to my event I had to attend due to the long delay at pickup. On 11/19 I arrived at the airport to return the vehicle and was told by Dwayne to drop the keys in the Dropbox becuse he had already clocked out. Today I received a receipt stating pickup was 11/19 and return was 11/22 at 9:05 am which is incorrect. Because someone did not check the Dropbox until 11/22 and not on 11/20 my credit card has now been charged for 3 extra days. Now my husband and I have to take more time out of our holiday to dispute charges. This experience has been exhausting and I would no longer use or recommend Payless rental.

Do yourself a favor and avoid them like the plague. Straight up lied to by the manager, "our system is down, I'll close you out and email you the receipt" days later, and still no closeout, and no one answers the phone.

The car was not available when we arrived and I keep getting notifications that the car was not returned when in fact it was returned almost two hours early on the contracted return date. I have evidence of the drop off time.

Payless desk folks are very nice and friendly in the SeaTac station. Cars are clean and great. Part of the Avis family.

Would leave negative stars if possible. Bait and switch!! Prepaid for vehicle that wasn’t available and was charged double because they conveniently had a vehicle a few classes up. Staff were unhelpful and rude. Was told to call corporate if I had a problem.
